Which areas? I will correct ASAP.
Symthics does some awesome stuff with TTK at specific ranges, where he takes bullet travel distance into account.

All the "Far" TTK values. Symthic used 80 meters as the furthest distance, what distance do you use when you are referring to "Far"? Anyhoozle, if you just type the amount of meters behind Close and Far, you don't have to redo all the values.

The thing with his is he bases his TTK on distance. While he can get detailed with it, even at 80m, TTK isn't maxed out for weapons. Like I said before, he figures bullet travel time to target (so if a bullet goes 600 m/s, at 80m, it takes another 0.1333 seconds to kill FROM TRIGGER PULL). To simplify my chart and display as much data in a readable space as possible, I took those calculations out.
If you want to interpret my TTK, it's the time to drop a target from when the first bullet hits the target to when the last bullet hits the target, assuming all bullets hit the target.
I may make a TTK 2.0 chart that uses a specific "long" range, but since "true TTK" (what symthic has) is now vastly affected by both bullet velocity and different attachments (which affect not only range but bullet velocity on several weapons as well) it gets harder to represent the data in an easily viewable space like what I have now.
Since the game has been balanced (things like a no-penalty foregrip has been nerfed) TTK is meaning less and less in the game. HOWEVER, these values still give approximations of a weapons damage output at range. They just don't accurately convey true deadliness, since no one is going to hit 4-8 bullets in a row on fully automatic fire at any range outside of 20m.

Understood. Thanks for the explanation bro. By the way, do you have any idea why Symthic uses the full auto-variant of the AN-94 in his charts but not the full auto-variant of the other burst weapons?

Since reconsidering, I am thinking that I should do a distance-based TTK. What ranges should I use? 4m, 25m, 75m, and 100m were in my head. PS: this should happen maybe in a few weeks, school and work are a (FEMALE DOG) <-- bad word doesn't show up

I would recommend 75 meters so you can compare your results with Symthic's TTK chart. If you want help with testing or anything else then add me on origin/battlelog: sneath

No testing needed, but I would be happy to play for a bit (life is busy now). Rudy_Bojangles on battlelog.

Will Do.
No real winners in this patch (TTK wise) except for the MTAR and ACR. M417 and MP5K good, but not godly.
EDIT: UPDATED.
Check for errors! I did it quick and dirty.

Great work Rudy. You should change the letters BTK in this thread's name to CQ.

sup i cant decide between the g36c and the l85a2 attaching the HBAR or supressor the favors of the l85 become minor basically g36 has lower 1st recoil but the l85 lower vertical recoil any suggestions Hrm... this is a bizarre question, if you don't mind me saying, since these guns are in a different class and thus would not compete with each other unless the class meant absolutely nothing (which it rarely does). If you are in an infantry-favored map, choose the L85A2. It doesn't kill as fast close, but it comes with paddles and a tube/shotgun/medic lunchbox. But if we are straight comparing... If you use the G36C, I am assuming you will be using the Heavy Barrel. It is by far the best attachment for carbines, especially on ones which give massive bullet velocity boosts. The G36C benefits from the increased velocity (500 m/s to 600 m/s). Further, when shooting on the move, the HBAR helps immensely. AND EVEN FURTHER, equiping the heavy barrel helps with suppression as well, boosting carbines to AR level suppression. They may have changed this in the patch, but using the HBAR extends your 5-shot and 6-shot range to kill. They may have nerfed the actual ranges, but I haven't heard of it. So, given that, it's a comparison of the G36C+HBar, and L85A2 with unspecified attachments, I will give the edge to the G36C. It's higher RPM will shred closer, but it can't really compete at longer range. No worries though, equip a foregrip, which doesn't have a huge penalty when pared with the HBar, and you can get less side-to-side recoil, which should help you land mid-range shots. Avoid long range engagements, or pull out your SMAW/RPG to snipe people. The L85A2 rubs me wrong because of low damage output, which makes it near worthless if you can see the whites of the enemies eyes. Well, that was... fun?!

looked into battlelog and found out even with CQC DLC there arent any weapons more to come i cud like, maybe beside the aug so i playd co op first time that one mission until i unlocked the kh2002, and now u know whats coming right? i fu ck in luv it so much much better than the g36 on range and more effective up close than the l85a2, it fits perfectly for me as far as i read the FG is not a must right? 0.4 to 0.3 side to side recoil, been using it w/o FG either with silencer or HBAR , depending on the map and mood, works both

By the way, not only is the ACR fantastic, the TAR-21 harkens back to the MW2 days, pretty epic.

ACW-R is amazing for range and has a low silencer penalty. MTAR is the carbine for close range combat. Slap a laser on there and pretend it's a PDW.

I think Rudy hasn't been playing a lot of BF3 lately, and he hasn't been very active on these forums as well (though the BF forums are pretty much dead anyway) so I guess he's been busy with some real life stuff. but he could surprise us

DEN, I CAN'T QUIT YOU!
I will work on these tomorrow. And I will be playing a lot of Battlefield 3 when AK goes live! I have just been playing a lot of Mass Effect multiplayer on PC with RubioNubio, another true bro. We have been discussing the Wii U and Pokemanz.

Would be epic! Battlefield 3 is pretty sweet on the PC.
The more I play with my PC, however, the more I realize that EVERYTHING is a console port.
