So these are some of the things that I think some of you may find useful:
Jet flying tips:
-Old tip, but worth repeating --> Binding spacebar to Tilt Up helps a lot in preventing carpal tunnel syndrome if you're using mouse + keyboard flying
-In thirdperson jet flight, you can actually tell when the sweet spot in turn-speed (around 290m/s) is reached --> your 3D jet model visibly turns at a sharper angle, and your field of view changes slightly too!
-You can continue to spot enemies in 3rd person flight, just aim the nose of your jet to the enemy.
-Something that might sound basic but took me a while to figure out --> The sound of getting locked on by heatseekers/stingers is DIFFERENT to the sound of a missile actually being shot (continuous tone vs beeping). Release flares after the missile's been shot for MAXIMUM DAMAGE prevention
Spotting mines/claymores have been added since last patch: Very useful, but I still find thermal optics for tanks and ifv's to be essential in seeing mines clearly.
I think the spotting is permanent, but it still surprises me how many people continue to drive jeeps over those fat red circles on the minimap.
Exiting tanks and IFVs --> You leave the vehicle in the same direction that your turret is pointing, except in IFVs where you will exit to the side if your turret is aiming direct ahead.
- The crux of this tip is that as a gunner/repairer/engie slut you should swivel your turret opposite the direction of incoming fire before you start repairing.
This is not as viable for the driver himself, as the turret turns way too slowly and negates any benefit.
Another tip that's a bit more niche in usefulness, as most people don't roll out with javelin/guided missile:
You can interrupt the lock-on process by leaving your vehicle. Lock-on is not possible on an empty vehicle, so tell any passengers to f*** off too
Feel free to add on any gameplay changing tips you guys have found.
