The patch is a lie! I've self tested every single machine pistol in MW3 on Xbox360 and found that all of them have been majorly buffed. Speaking very generally, I'm finding the single machine pistol rate of fire has been nerfed on some of them, and the akimbo rate of fire has been buffed on all of them. Changes from single to akimbo range from 25-48% increases in speed. Going to upload a video and post it under here soon with proof. Can anyone else do some bro testing for backup?
Also, I've tested damage and range, they do not appear to have been changed.

Oops, just made a thread on this myself.
A single FMG9 will shoot 32 bullets in 2.3 seconds. (834 RPM) (808 RPM using n-1 method?) Akimbo FMG9s, only shooting 1 gun, shoots 32 bullets in 1.667 seconds. (1151 RPM) (1115 RPM using n-1 method?)

I'll provide my own video/picture proof, I just wanna add some titles or commentary and I'm stuck in class right now.
Video was recorded at 30 FPS so there will be a slight inaccuracy (the game was playing at 60-70 FPS). I also didn't use the n-1 formula for fire rate, I just realized that.
EDIT: Friend got faster times for emptying the clip, but the same difference in time to empty. (2.17 and 1.54)
It's about a 28%-30% increase to fire rate by using akimbo, rofl

I got very similar results to you. I captured at 60fps, and did not use a bro-approved formula. Rather I measured from the frame the first bullet left the gun to the frame where the last bullet left. In any case, I found massive increases on all guns.
Edit, tested bullets to kill and range. Seems unchanged but without PC code there is no 100% guarantee.

Whenever the patch hits PS3, I will be sure to test this out.

I did the exact same method of measurement - starting a timecode when the first bullet leaves the gun, and then capturing an image as soon as the clip is empty with the timecode, frame by frame.
Silly IW, a NERF doesn't mean to lower a variable value. They lowered what they thought was "fire rate" but was actually "time between shots" derp.....

I'm moreso shocked that they wouldn't have Quality Assurance teams to test for shit like this. Bugs like this are easy to make, but a simple test would have made things obvious. It literally took me 2 minutes to test and find out that they failed.
It's pretty simple to create the bug in pseudocode and planning, as well as when you put it in the code. "Hey guys, lets lower the fire rate by 25% whenever they're running akimbo" "alright, sounds good" if (attachment == "Akimbo") { realfirerate = defaultfirerate * 0.75; }
Where firerate is the time between shots. Of course thats a very rough sketch and theres a lot more indepth to it, but you get my point. They really need to test their shit.

oh man... I don't think I've ever seen a bigger mistake in video games. Lowering the fire time (between bullets) instead of lowering the RPM. It can't be anything else.
Maybe this is why IW never patched MW2 - they didn't have any faith in themselves that they wouldn't royally screw up. Rightly so =)

The number from the video would indicate such and error: My measured fire rate increases are: Skorpion = 30% G18 = 32% FMG9 = 34% MP9 = 48%

gosh darn golly gee whiz, just when I thought IW was redeeming itself with the shotgun buff. What, did they think the shotgun buffs would make the akimbo MPs too underpowered, or are they just that incompetent?
Edit: Thanks for this drift0r. Hopefully this will be (re)fixed before the patch rolls out to the PS3 bros.

Akimbo MP9 and Skorpion are the new OP secondaries. The Akimbo FMG9 didn't receive much love since you could already get a 25% increase pre-patch.
