ACTA is not only dangerous, but the Internet's shot heard round the world with the "Blackout" for SOPA is still too recent. Pulling something as visible as that again is just about the only way to get the masses to recognize ACTA. However, a second Blackout or another attempt at a high visibility protest so soon would likely be met with a Crying Wolf reaction. Just like how there were a few naysayers about the SOPA protests in mainstream media, calling dirty people living in the series of tubes, crying that they want free stuff, even more would ignorantly talk back against the protest of ACTA. At least sign petitions. They don't really do anything.wh.gov/KxAAnd spread clear and concise information about the ramifications of ACTA. www.edri.org/ACTA_WeekGive ACTA enough visibility that it doesn't slip past all the red tape it is trying to avoid with its many year long backroom deals and get it the legal scrutiny it deserves. Cutting a weed doesn't stop the root from growing another one.
