I think there needs to be another 7,62 battle rifle for Assault, and maybe something with higher calibre for the engineer
Is there anything like that (that's in active service? or well, scratch that since the jackhammer is in somehow too)

Yeah, the G3 needs a buddy. The G3 could be the accurate, 20 round one, and the other could have 30 rounds and crazy recoil. *coughAKcough*
Although Assault has more weapons than anyone else. I say throw away the L85 to make room. If they're going to make a sidegrade of an AR, the AK-74 is the worst possible choice. Also, the M416 still has no reason to exist, and we reeaally don't need 3 burst weapons.

the M16A4 is filler material, don't really count it as an individual weapon (though it's nice it's there)
The m416 is kinda pointless yeah, with both the M16 and M4 ÁND the M27 IAR in-game there's really no need for another AR-15ish rifle. I'd rather have them throw that out, it's statistically boring anyway. The L85 at least looks unique and has/had some unique stats
Can Mk.14 EBR go full auto? That might be a kind of western alternative for the G3. Or they just put a longer SCAR-H in, I would be fine with that too. Or a bigger Sig Sauer

The FAL would make a lot of sense - I would think of it as a more accurate G3 but with more recoil, best used on single shot. The SIG SG751 would also work - and, uniquely, has a three-round burst feature. Yes the Mk14 can go full auto but it's already in the game as the M39 so I don't really like that idea. You could also throw in an AK-103 (modernized AK-47 with rails) for the true 7.62x39mm 'power' AK.
I'd like to see the M416 replaced by the Galil ACE. It would give the class some uniqueness with a 35 round magazine. Maybe make it the only AR that can take an extended mag (50 rounds).
For the Engineer they could use the OTs-14 Groza in 7.62mm or 9mm. However, it looks too similar to the A91... carbines aren't really made in high calibers, due to the inherent recoil and muzzle blast problems, and I don't really think engies need high caliber weapons anyway - the SCAR-H was already a stretch as a carbine (even the CQB variant is already longer than some of the assault rifles).

vector with 13(+1) rounds- 25 (+1) with ext mags? has semi auto , 2 burst, and full auto somewhat high first shot recoil follow by a stream of moderate recoil maybe 25/20 damage up to ~ 8 meters then rapidly drops to 17 damage something special with high damage and high RPM but hard to use

Man, the M416 is the most popular gun amongst my group. Currently its reason to exist is its mad accurate second shot, no?
Anyway, FAL makes most sense for another 7.62 imo. The HK417 would be a decent fit, only dudes are already bemoaning AR-15 style business, and it is mad similar to the M27 in all ways except caliber.
I don't particularly think this game needs more guns, though. I mean, the SVD, T88, DAO12, M1014, M60, M40A5, AN94, Saiga, SV98 I have not used at all, and the MP7, SKS, SG553, G3, M39, G36c, RPK, QBZ, Jackhammer, PP-19, G53, QBB-95 and L85A2 I've used for less than 15 minutes or 15 kills
I'd rather they played around with existing stuff, gave the SG553 and G53 and G36c, say, reasons to exist, than add new stuff that will just sit around.

if they stick with the caliber = damage system and realistic fire rates, the MG3 with it's 1300 rpm would be grotesquely overpowered though.

if there would be a WW2 expansion (please, let it be that, since 2143 is confirmed not to be in the making) what weapons would you guys put in?
Assault : M1 garand / STG44? Engineer: Thompson / MP44? Support: BAR / MG42? Recon: Kar 89k / Springfield M1903?
All kit: Trench Gun
maybe give the BAR to assault, the M1 garand to recon and support an M1919
pistols: m1911 and a luger Everything unlocked from the start, no optic attachments (duh). For attachments, bipods of course, and bayonets perhaps, and what else?
Rifle grenades instead of the M302?

it's been a time since a good WW2 game. BC2 did vietnam (vietnam is cool but we probably won't see it again) WW1 is too boring/hard to turn into fun and authentic gameplay, they're not making a future game and things like the gulf war is probably too sensitive politically that leaves WW2 and medieval stuff. Battlefield 1442 ?

Let people commandeer catapults, trebuchets, mangonels, bombards, etc. It wouldn't work at all, but I can imagine the hilarity of the development team's discussions!

haha are you dudes aware of mount and blade? the multiplayer of that is as close to what you guys are describing as I can think we'll get anytime soon, and it's actually pretty great combat mechanics, all about the speed of the blade at the time of contact, what part connects, what stage of your swing it's at etc. also there's a mount and musket mod which is some fantastic 1700s mod, worth youtubing for vids of it, the community is all in to marching around in formations etc, v funny to me.

wrt balance: aforementioned mount and blade is a lot more simple when it comes to equipment, but it manages to balance what it has well, and multiplayer seems pretty competitive. Basically, you can be on a horse or on foot. Then there's one handed weapons, two handed, pole arms, thrown weapons, crossbows and bows. Also shields. There's nice interplay between different weapons, and combination stuff. I'm gonna post a vid deal w/it
it goes a little bit into the mechanics so you can see there's a little more going on that dynasty warriors. You can switch between 1st and 3rd person at will btw, this guy just rolls w/3rd

how about being able to manually take over a vehicle IE if u can manage to jump onto a tank, you can pull open the cover thing *Hold E* and jump in- if you can avoid getting shot but the secondary gun right next to the entrance stuff like that would be nice- allowing classes other than support and engineer to stand a chance against enemy vehicles if they play their cards right and with extreme stealth
