Anyone else enjoying the gameplay so far on the free demo?
Here are some notes I made.
The left bumper (LB) power is usually a shot or biotic power that homes in on a target.
The Y button (Y) power is usually a buff (shields or damage) but can also a "pet" or special adept power (Singularity or Stasis, for example) .
The right bumper (RB) power is a grenade for the classes with combat powers (as opposed to or in combination with biotic powers and/or technical powers) or a secondary power.
Here are some notes I made that might be helpful, definitely incomplete, and probably incorrect somewhere. I'll edit it at some point.
Class Race (LB, Y, RB)
Adept Human (Warp, Singularity, Shockwave) Asari Drell
Soldier Human (Concussion Shot, Adrenaline Rush, Frag Grenade) Krogan (Carnage, Fortification, Inferno Grenade) Turian
Engineer Human (Incinerate, Combat Drone, Overload) Salarian Quarian
Sentinel Human (Warp, Tech Armor, Throw) Krogan Turian
Infiltrator Human (Cryo Blast, Tactical Cloak, Sticky Grenade) Salarian Quarian
Vanguard Human (Shockwave, Biotic Rush, Nova) Asari Drell

I am. It's gosh darn golly gee whiz good fun with 3 buddies.
Freakin' turrets and Phantoms are OP, though.
Also, the WORST thing is when there's a hacking/data upload objective in the White base or whatever it's called, and it's in the middle of the open where you first spawn. Especially when it's in the later waves, it's virtually impossible.

Yeah, Phantoms are the #1 pain. Best solutions I've found are Asari Adept's Stasis, and Vanguard's Biotic Charge to Heavy Melee to Nova. They seem bugged in terms of hitboxes and in terms of things that will kill their Barrier.
Turrets can be painful, too.
I got the Krogan Soldier early and he's been a blast to play as a melee specialist. It's the only alien race I've gotten.
Human Soldier has been fun, too. Keep Adrenaline Rush up (+ weapon damage), spam Concussion Shot, and use Frag Grenades on Turrets and Guardians (shield guys). Getting the first two levels of Fitness (shield/health buffs) helped survivability.

Man I got absolutely worked trying it solo. I'm usually pretty decent at these games and know the ME series by heart, but wow they are a challenge by yourself. The no health regen and no pause menu (lol the first time I found that out on my very first game... I wish I had a picture of how stunned I must have looked haha... The thought that I couldn't pause and plan my attack never occurred to me lol) makes it really hard for a solo!
I'm on PC but I'd be interested in working out a group with some folks, as I'll definitely be getting the game on launch... Primarily for single player (beat ME1 and 2 a combined 12 times... Friend of mine is up to 26 lol) but I'll give MP a shot too assuming it's not just a huge micro-transaction-fest.

Once again bro, separated by our platforms. Can't switch on to PC now and lose my lovingly created boy+girl shepards. And yeah, the difficulty is like, not scaled at all to number of players as far as I can tell. Playing with 3 people is insanely easier than 2, not even tried it solo.
But yeah, been playing a lot of this MP. pleasing level of difficulty. The unlocks and characters make this much more appealing to me than the horde mode of gow or the zombie mode of cod or halo's firefight or whatever
Played almost exclusively infiltrator, as none of my friends play it much and I got a Widow in a pack very early. Little bit of Asari adept too as I unlocked that w/my starter pack. Infiltrator is very fun to play. One-shot kills are innately satisfying. You dish out mad damage but cannot take it at all. Cloak lets you avoid most of the heat though, along with v useful stealth revives+activations. Hilariously rubbish against phantoms. After much hipfire adventures in the last few months, it has been fun doing all the quickscoping larks again. But yeah, just seems a fun class due to it feeling very imbalanced (not as in too strong/too weak, but as in both v strong and v weak in different areas), which I find way more interesting to play than some all-rounder. I'm guessing most of you guys are also playing with just one weapon most of the time. Some funky moments come out of that when you only have 10 bullets for the round and only get 2 more each wave. Also a sucker for it as it is somewhat more skill-based than the biotic stuff. I have a feeling if you're a good shot that infiltrator becomes somewhat overpowered. I'm definitely outscoring all my buddies playing supposedly OP vanguard (and reviving them all too). Asari adept is fun. With stasis, total opposite of infiltrator. Amazing at killing phantoms and nemeses, less great at throwing down mad damage on to things.
