I don't see why they're so worried about delaying it. It's unfair and unnecessary to make the PC players wait for...nothing. It's not unfair to console players if they're getting the patch exactly the same either way. If they're really concerned about showing "favoritism," then it would make sense to throw a bone every once in a while to the playerbase that made you who you are. Of course I'm just wasting my breath, since money is all that matters, and consoles are where the money is made.

"....we also hear whispers that the sales of the PC version are again quite surprising, as they are up and over where EA and DICE thought that they would be at this point in time."
If only they had released this on steam..

Look how long they had to wait for the PS3 voice fix.

I wouldn't know. For all I know, PC doesn't even have voice. I've never heard anyone speak in BF3. The Battlelog voice thing works I guess, but it's only for parties, and it really, really sucks.

Very few people use voice chat on Xbox live either. It's the polar opposite of CoD, where everyone talks but you just want to mute them anyways.

playing a few days now and i have some questions:
whats the interact button used for? never used it
and whats up with this spotting menu button(q for me), if i hold it there comes this menu up with all this commands which are fixed, non dnynamic, and there is a circle in the middle i can choose but there is no command in there, do i need to aim at someone and then enable it or something?
and sometimes info message pops up "press q to give this or to give/receive" that, like ammo/medipack, do i just need to press it or to aim at someone?
and how spotting works?

interact? like E ? that lets you get in and out of vehicles If it's X it's probably plantin the mcom button Holding Q brings up the rose commands, practically useless IMO, just there for tradition Sometimes they give you hints when you are near people to press Q in order to request health/ammo. Having low health near an assault/medic guy will usually make a Q appear on them so you can ask them for health. Usually medics will instinctively throw health packs at friendlies, but supports will usually have a problem understanding that you need ammo- even when you press Q, it only activates a voice-over. The teamate can choose to either ignore it or realize you need ammo. spotting works by simply pressing Q while aiming at the general area of an enemy- i believe you cannot spam it though, as pressing Q too much will cause it to disable itself for little while. Just press Q 1 or 2 times every so often, it can spot enemies you might not have noticed. If you spot an enemy, enemy vehicle, or enemy equipment, there will be a red/orange icon above them. I believe the icon lasts for as long as it stays within your field of view, and will also be seen by your team mates if the target is also inside their field of view. By just pressing the button, you can vastly increase team awareness at literally no cost. Always press Q before engaging enemies too- if you end up dead, at least your team mates will know something went down. Always spot!

yeah, if someone needs ammo or health, there will be a little ammo symbol (square with a few bullets) or a little red cross symbol for health. you need to select the ammo/healthpack from your inventory and it should drop on selection, unless you selected it with the mousewheel. also, as a medic you can see the life bars of your buddies over their heads. it also doesn't hurt to just spam ammo and healthpacks every now and then, especially in heavily traveled areas. helps your team and generates free points for you.

what u mean with "it should drop on selection"? normally if i pick medipack via inventory key directly or mousewheel i have it in my hands and can throw it with left mouse button

you ALWAYS drop packs by choosing it with inventory and dropping it- there's no other way, so keep doing what you've been doing protip: it sticks to vehicles

battlelog is down, according to dice due to "back end maintenance" in preperation of the patch. my thoughts: after all that, our back ends now need maintenance due to the savage rape that we were subjected to over those past weeks by EA/Dice anyway i'm still clinging to unfounded hope..maybe today. maybe today.

No. Console patch is still in cert, and most console patches are on *i think* tuesdays. So I think tuesday next week is likely, though it could me this thursday too.

They rend our back end, but now it's on the mend. This is another trend I don't want to see around the bend, friend.

yeah, well, i haven't got time to spend waiting for my faith in EA to ascend. they've got business practices even i can't defend, which tends to offend. but I must append: DICE, I can commend, inasmuch as this patch can portend.

Well, tomorrow they may announce when the patch is planned, so maybe the waiting is about to end and that's a godsend
