Hello bros, I recently picked up BF3 + Back to Karkand since it was on sale on Origin. To my dismay, the game seems to run terribly for me and I have no idea why. Before I go any further, here are my specs: gyazo.com/f6d00c3b314a2d828d3b843d1686b95cNote that Speccy displays my RAM frequency incorrectly. I'm not sure what exactly it is, but I know it's not 665MHz . My friend built this computer for me, and he's not sure if he got dual-channel RAM or not. My game stutters quite a bit, dropping quite often to single digit FPS. This renders the game essentially unplayable. I turned all the settings down to the lowest, disabled DirectX11, updated PunkBuster & my GPU's drivers, capped the game to 60 fps with BF3 Settings Editor, opened up the ports that BF3 uses, closed all unnecessary processes and still no dice luck. Any help/advice/scorn is appreciated. You are my bro, bro.

i heard that there is an issue with certain windows 7 versions where bf3 tries to run on just one CPU core. you could try to force it on all cores via cpu-control.
are you using the 260.10 forceware drivers? if not, do it. if yes, try rolling back to one of the 285s.

It seems BF3 is using all 4 cores, so far as I can tell using CPU-Control.
I can't for the life of me find a download for the 260.10 drivers, I'm going to try 285.79 and see if that fixes anything. My version as of right now is 296.10, hopefully going to 285.79 fixes my issues. Thanks for the help.

so, any progres?
on a semi-related note i made a completely new and clean reinstall of windows 7 due to bluescreen issues with BF3, and it seems to have fixed it and ALSO majorly improved my performance and fixed troubles i had with sluggy and laggish mouse input.
my old OS installation must have been rather thoroughly messed up x)
