Denizens,
The good people over at Symthic noticed something that I did not in the patch files: a "burst" attachment for the M16A3 and M4A1. People have speculated that the "burst" attachment is a hidden attachment that modifies the M16A3 and M4A1, respectfully. Demize had hinted that the burst variants of both of these guns would be tweaked to differentiate between the fully-auto and the burst weapons, to the tune of changing the recoil to more horizontal values.
Here is what they pulled:
M16A4 Burst 50% ADS spread dec, 25% H-recoil dec, 12% V-recoil inc
M4 Burst 50% ADS spread dec, 25% H-recoil dec, 12% V-recoil inc
If this is correct, it makes those weapons extremely valuable, especially for 360/PS3 players, who like more horizontal and less vertical recoil. It also makes both of those weapons excellent alternatives, especially with flash suppressors or silencers to reduce vertical recoil. It also makes them not as reliant on foregrips, and the sighted accuracy is an additional bonus.
This will still have to be confirmed through testing, but good news otherwise!
Sorry, switch the values.

Wait, you're saying it changes to more horizontal, but it says it decreases horizontal and increases vertical. I'm confused. If the burst weapons really go a more horizontal route, then I will for sure never touch them. On the flip side, if they go more vertical, then I will permanently switch to M16A4 and M4. I'm not much of a burst person, but BF is different. You can spam bursts so fast that there's barely a difference between that and auto. And if horizontal is decreased on weapons with an already tiny horizontal recoil, then I can for sure feel 100% confident in throwing the foregrip away. Although I hate the concept. While it isn't quite the same with the M16A4 and M4 being separate weapons, I don't like giving stat bonuses to fire modes. It should always be the same across the board, with the method of firing being the only difference.

Looks like you'll be switching over, then
What they do is make pretty much all recoil strictly vertical (though vertical recoil is only slightly increased as you can read) but they also have the bonus of narrowed min ads spread. Its kind of like they have a default heavy barrel on them (which removes horizontal recoil, too)
So, if you can handle burst fire, these things are probably better than the full auto ones

Whoops, yeah, switch around horizontal and vertical there.

Are consoles and PC in synch with their pathces? They should be, but you never know for sure
