Here's a suggestion for anyone: use the G11. That thing is the shit.

Seeing Mega was talking about shotties and I don't want to make a new thread, I'll ask this here. What is the best way to use Shotguns in Black Ops? Specifically I am interested in the stakeout. So like should I run steady aim and only hipfire? Or does ADS'ing not cancel the SA effect? Does ADS'ing without SA give an accuracy boost? Use a rapid fire AK-74u instead.

Here's a suggestion for anyone: use the G11. That thing is the doo-doo. And use it without the scope. The G11 has PERFECT iron sights and doesn't need the sway from the scopes. G11- insane RoF within burst, no recoil, huge mags

My only real gripe with the G11 is it lacking Infrared. I'd have fun with smoke for days on DOM Radiation. x3

btw:
I bot BO in 2010 but played < 5 hrs. Level 8 or 9. I do not even see Barracks. It is worse than COD4 completely, not even comparable to, IMO. The worst game I played in my life I suppose.. and I am 30+ 1) sound 2) graphics 3) hit detection 4) so many noise in the background, I cannot hear anything important, 5) ... = complete failure. It could be a hit in 1995.
I have 1 question pls: Could anyone tell me why Nuketown is the default map on 90% of servers on PC? What is so fascinating still in that ugly, plastic, dull, idiotic map 2 years after launch? Do all other maps suck completely or what? Any MW2 or MW3 or COD4 map is better ...

In my eyes, Black Ops is probably the most balanced COD game; COD 4 seems a little over-rated to me. Yes the Famas was a monster compared to most weapons, but even so, the post-patch recoil does mean that it requires some (albeit a small amount of) skill to use it as the laser people make it out to be. Most AR's can beat it at range but SMG's can't up close - that's my main issue. I'd take the AK-47 dual mags over the Famas any day anyway

People don't put maps in rotation because they look pretty. It's small, symmetrical, and provides super-duper chopper gunners for those who can earn them.

Nuketown is just like every other token small map in COD: it plays really fast, there's always something going on and it's just action, action, action. Casual players like it because it's fast-paced, exciting and they're probably going to get more kills than they normally do. When it comes to above-average players, they're normally divided into the two: - Players who like it because it offers huge scorelines with a much higher 100+ kill potential - Players who enjoy the fast-paced action and can occasionally pull some high scoring games
TL;DR - It's fast-paced and there's always stuff going on. Who doesn't like that?

Nuketown offers very high SPM due to extreme player concentration. That's it.
How else am I supposed to earn Tact Mask Pro? (In Nuketown Ground War, you can get a Hind just tossing a nova at B.)

I think I'm part of the minority that doesn't like nuke town. Its a giant clusterfuck most of the time, its not big enough for any objective gamemodes in the first place, and it comes in a pre packaged spawn trap for the side that can run three feet past the house first. And it was so overplayed that it got sickening.
But if they're offering it I'll still take it just because its a good ffa or 1 v. 1 map.

I always thought of Nuketown as guilty pleasure, due to the excitement. Even with random nades abound, there's little to no tactical loitering.
Couple that with Wagers and it's just the icing. :3

Broadband Treyarch doesn't do movie style sounds on their guns which is why FAMAS sounds tinny, the sub machine guns sounds like a mettalic version of popcorn and the L96 just goes boom. It's hard to record gunfire too, because they are just so loud ( introduces difficulty in recording) and acoustics can change drastically from a distance. They still make certain guns quieter than what it would sound like in real life, but I have noticed some guns like the ACR in MW3 are pretty loud with a silencer, useful for people like me with headsets.

Speaking of sounds, any of you bros of the perspective that silenced guns sound different from PS3 to XBOX? On 360 there seems to be more bass in the shots.

After playing MW3 on Xbox and PS3 I noticed that some guns have different firing sounds on each console. The main culprits I noticed were the M4 and the SCAR (loud and silenced). They sound really different on PS3 compared to Xbox!

Something like that wouldn't be too far-fetched, I'm pretty sure the guns have sounded different in full-auto between consoles and PC since MW2.
