Whether you've never heard of this game, or are already signed up for the beta (will be open to all soon), here are some videos from various groups in the closed beta, showing how the game is really playing out....and it's good! An assault on an enemy position at sunset, turning into a night operation which shows off the game's impressive lighting effects: Large scale air raid: Air to air combat in the daylight as well as at night: Coordinated group of anti-tank infantry laying waste to enemy armor columns: Some mixed infantry gameplay:

I was trying to display the gameplay, for the most part. But I wouldn't judge the graphics just yet. It's a beta test that still has a ton of optimizations to be done...for a game that runs 2000 players on a single map. Even the developers have stated that, as of now, there isn't any hardware strong enough to run this game at maximum video settings.
Plus many of the people that record their footage don't always have the top of the line PC specs. They have to turn down the graphics for the game to run while doing their video capture.

I'm so looking forward to playing this game.
And far too early to be judging the graphics on the basis of a few youtube Beta clips.

Wish I would have recorded some Tech Test shenanigans, back when Sunderers were just about the best ground vehicles when you had a convoy of them riding together, infinitely repairing and resupplying one another with their support auras stacking.
Now Sunderers don't have much of a point.

How bout that DUST 514?
Nearly every single battle I've been in has more or less boiled down to "first team to spawn vehicles and advance to spawn camp the enemy home drop point wins."

The default setting for the built in Youtube recording is pretty nasty. No sound, 360p max. Makes the files real small though. Gotta try High quality.
And then there's a 4 gigabyte Fraps recording that takes six hours for me to upload.
Just some crappy aimless flying. I'm more a ground troop, but the air obviously makes for better views (of course, ain't much to see in the desert). The overall graphics settings are at medium.
I need a video editor. So I can put lens flares everywhere and abuse transition effects.

No sticks are working correctly yet. Deadzones are not being detected properly or something.
I had taken out my nine year old Extreme 3D Pro from the dusty boxes, only to spin out of control. and also seem to have crazy side effects of having an old early generation USB 2.0 joystick and driver software in this new PC.
Just gotta go at it with a mouse and keyboard.

I now know the default video capture start, Page Up. I only discovered this after many epic moments of epicocity in which I have major regret of not recording. Such as the 'Ownage of the Liberator of Mekala Tech Plant', in which I dive-bombed and destroyed thoroughly an unawares NC Lib with my Galaxy while attempting suicide after going to the world height limit and finding out that the Galaxy doesn't deploy into a mobile spawn, and just afterwards capturing the facility with my dead body. And the instance where I first played as NC, deciding to hot-drop as an Infiltrator onto a heavily contested VS tower, in which I went on a killing rampage to the unawares with my beloved magnum pistol and sniper in close quarters, at last falling when the knife was required. Or the instance where I was one of the VERY FEW people on Amerish that fully controlled and halted many NC and VS advances many times our size over a few hours at such locations as Xelas Bio Lab, Tumas Tech Plant, Wokuk Amp Station, the fabled Granite Valley Garrison, and the locations thereabout, by myself garnering over 5 Sunderer kills, 3 Galaxy kills, and 50+ infantry kills, and many others, all without dying more than two times.
So for those epic moments, please please please keep in mind, the 'page up' button on your keyboard will be your ultimate witness, then let us share and further our stories of awesomocity and Bro-ness.

This might be an oversimplification but since i have never played this im curious if its a futuristic battlefield 3? You're right, oversimplified, yes, but much like League of Legends in it's freemium/business format. It shares similarities in most gun mechanics such as bullet velocity, most of the projectiles are hitbox 'triangles', bullet drop, Cone of Fire mechanics as well as first shot multipliers and the like. The major differences are scale and choice. You have a lot more choice in one map than you would in a BF3 map, and you can have hundreds of player spawned tanks in one area. The Sunderer is the mobile spawn point of all factions, and if you're in range you can deploy straight from whoever set it up, but there are the standard base spawns. Most of the base areas are much like the flag capture points in BF3, but they're all digital and progress-bar-y. There's a lot more to it than that though, and I encourage you to check it out even if your computer can only run it on low

I was looking over the specs and my comp should handle it since i just upgraded my gfx card not too long ago for diablo 3. Thanks for the reply.

Now I feel bad about playing my NC alt. I joined EXE on Helios and have been watching lots of Buzz, if that helps :3 I'll tell you, having a platoon leader and outfit coordination, even if I don't have a clue how to use the mumble channel, is super fun, last night as a 12 man elite squad there were some epic moments driving around in our mine guard 5 sunderer, taking remote bases and getting in fights. players.planetside2.com/#!/5428013610436472849 There I am! I want Den's character name so I can stalk him. . . I mean, see what weapons and play style he likes. I've also been going on the official PS2 forums too much, instead of posting here, and have gotten in a lot of trouble with my Courier New font =P . I have trouble starting things, but if things get going I'm right there with it.
