Great. Now I have mental image of Adam Sandler playing the lead role in a movie where he plays a stereotypical Jewish guy by day and turns into a Nazi Werewolf by night. For that he's half Jewish half anti-semite.

Lol Totalbiscuit
"It's kind of sad how we've only now just back to the idea that FPS movement beyond little bunny hopping every couple of seconds is cool. The main problem is that 95% of First-Person Shooters over the past 10 years have been f***ing awful. There came at one point where they distilled FPS down to 'you are going to unlock new guns, and you're going to do it in the simplest possible way'. It's nice that a game like Titanfall comes along and says 'We might like to move a little bit; that would be cool, you know? Let's grab a jetpack, run up some walls, throw some mechs in and see what happens.' And it came from the studio that gave us the most boring FPS over the last 10 years, which is great."

From the same podcast the panel was asked about their biggest problem with the gaming industry. TB's response:
"The problem right now that we have now in the (gaming) industry is we have a lot of numbers-driven creativity, and it's getting to the point where games are made to satisfy a checklist instead of satisfying what the creators wanted in the first place. As a result what we get year after year, franchise after franchise of exactly the same damn thing over and over again with little things added on for good measure. We get good franchises taken down different paths, we get the word 'accessible' thrown around; it's like 'We want to make this more accessible. You know what I think Deadspace 3 really needs? Micro-transactions! That sounds like that'll really fit the 9-year-old cellphone-using demographic that we're shooting for with this supposed hard-core survival sci-fi title. That sounds absolutely phenomenal.'
What would be great is publishers actually having the balls to stop doing f***ing focus groups with 10 13-year-olds and saying 'You know? I wonder how brown we can make this game this year; that would be great. That would be a wonderful experience.'
It would be nice if we could make games and you send the games out into the world to find the audience, not make the game designed for a specific audience. You know? 'Oh, we want this particular demographic, so we're going to make this game fit', right? Can we not do that? I think that even if you look at TV right now you see series that are just amazing now. Let's say Breaking Bad; didn't have a f***ing audience until season 3. And it's fine. Because the guys who did the series actually believed in the show and kept doing what they were supposed to be doing, and it becomes on the most popular shows on TV right now. If we can do that with games, then maybe... 90% of them wouldn't be s***."

In my defence if Bill Clinton said "I did not have sex with that woman; I just jerked off into her hair while she was asleep and climbed out of the window afterwards" he would have been better off.

Sorry about being awkward in the IRC last night, I wasn't judging or anything, just a little shocked. But whatever, it's the 21th century and if people want to jerk it to horse porn then uh...more power to them I guess.

Nope I'm still good. I'm always paranoid because of short term memory issues and always leave like two hours in advance. Total Boy Scout
