How come we don't have actual magnification/zoom levels? I'm guessing acog is 2.4, svu-as default zoom is 3.6, default sniper rifles are 4.8. LMGs having the highest variable zooms? Wow... 5.6 then, maybe?

That's not how you calculate it, Mousey. Zoom = tan(FOV/2) / tan(ADSFOV/2)

That's not how you calculate it, Mousey. Zoom = tan(FOV/2) / tan(ADSFOV/2) On a side note that explain why games usually can't have a FoV ≥ 180 (see view frustum on google). About the sights, do they alter the aim assist on console? Well, I guess that's not something we can easily test.

Mousey is correct.
The FOV setting controls your FOV from the hip and from the hip only.
(Using trainers you can also change ADS FOV, but this is effectively cheating.)
