(Note: this is an effort for a collaboration based map guide. All I am doing is to start the thread and include an overhead map with callouts. Hopefully other bros can chime in by posting their insights using the callouts, and organically grow this thread into a useful discussion). Hardpoint locations:

For Domination, IMHO the most critical location for controlling B-Dom is ELECTRO (aka "BLUE ROOM", "BLUE HOUSE", etc). For all the Dom games I played, it is without exception that whichever team can own this location will win the game.

I think this is a great map. A lot of close quarter combat and multiple routs to flank. The only flaw is that the team spawning at A-Dom will reach Electro first, which is an extremly important area to control. Especially in domination, as witty pointed out.

When spawning on the C-side, I always forgo capping C and go straight to ELECTRO. By doing this I can get there no later than the counter part of the other team and have a fair fight. That said, A-spawn is definitely the better spawn side.

Kill confirmed player. This is hands down my favorite map. Its gun on gun with flank routes and no campers peaking out of 2 story windows, so I can just rush rush rush and pick up tags. I like to push up to Statue and drop a Tac Insert next to the wall nearest their spawn. I continue to be a pest until the spawn flips and do the same thing on the other side.

Overall a pretty fun map. In FFA though in that alley behind a-dom people have been headglitching some burnt out piece of shit and spawn trapping. It's a bit annoying but not as bad as the spawns on most other maps in this game. In MW3 I really only remember such blatant spawn tactical loitering/trapping in FFA on Bootleg on the uhh... well the opposite from where the snipers like to hang out... where you'd exit the middle section if you climbed up the stairs and go through the indoors area where you get the occasional shotgun camper.
I'm not in love with all the chest high barrels and walls for people to camp at, but that's par for the course in this game.

I like this map too. Plaque area sees a lot of traffic, although I only tend to go there when I'm coming from the east. Throwing grenades over it toward Mechanics often gets rewarded.
Just west of Statue I tend to see a number of campers, often lying down. I like to chuck grenades west over the wall when I'm by Cafe to flush them out.
B Dom and Electro tend to be the hottest spots. Got to be very careful going west into Graves. Seems like whichever direction I check is the wrong one most of the time. Somtimes you get rewarded, as people coming down by Hummers/Mechanics are mostly looking east, and not toward Graves.

Fun map, both in FFA and in TDM.
A great mix of rushing and tactical loitering styles work nicely on this map... good flanking too.
You can camp/rush this map... but you have to be smart about it

I really like Slums. Interesting thoughts about the electro house. My dom strategy has normally been to lock down the graves area with an LMG if we have C or shoot to it from skips if the team has A. Those two chokepoints are also a great way to rack up points in League games because so many people use that as their access route. I have a tactician class with 2 emps and 2 concussions. Call it a nooby tactic if you wish, but I absolutely saturate the other team. Blocking movement and situational awareness on a map this frenetic does wonders.
Personally, I avoid the electro area just because it's hard for me to see into that house and flush people out. That said, it would certainly be a good use for a SCAR and an MMS because of people's tendency to camp that area hard.

Love this map. Electo-Hummers-BDom is where everything goes down, but you can find some action all around it.

I like the opposite side...plaque/statue, especially when you're facing C-dom. Vary your positioning between either side of plaque and the far side of the statue, once you've gotten a few kills move to either side of the van and catch the guys you just infuriated rushing in.
Anyone who tries to capture B will probably be facing towards skips/electro, away from you.

Not as. . . not. . . well. . . This one's okay, only because I can't think of a better map from a past CoD that is extremely simi-OH YEAH VILLA BECAUSE FOUNTAIN. Villa rocked. Edit: That's a statue, not a fountain. . . crap.

Like too many of the maps, domination is only about b.
MW3 did ONE THING RIGHT, and that was having some of the maps feature a triangle, making capping A and C not only possible, but also viable.
Capping A and C in Black Ops 2 only happens if you want to change spawns, because the opponents will still spawn on top of A or C (in my experience), regardless of control.
The flags SHOULD have been at Electro (inside), Cafe and Mechanics.
That would have utilized the entire space of the map, AND made it better balanced, and harder to dominate.
It's all about B and only about B. A and C only serve as Teammate-Checks.
You know you can quit early when your teammates don't cap your home flag, and sit behind crates facing the Electro with their snipers, most likely ending the game with 1 single capture. For some absurd reason, that capture will be the enemy spawn, somehow, at the end of round 2.

Oh yeah. I forgot.
My 2nd favorite map, after Aftermath and before Standoff.
;D
Snipers love to do their laundry and visit the graves. Shotgunners LOVE electronics and mechanics.
Like all the maps, I feel like a fish on dry land with my semi-auto assault rifle on the map.
Except when... No. Always. It's a trend in Black Ops 2.
Playing against bad players makes it feel better, but... it's always the same: You have to camp behind cover if going up against SMGs.

I find the A Flag advantage to be pretty dominant. Almost too much so. I find Skips a more successful spot than Graves in terms of a fire fight, and A Flag can enter both Electro and Plaque faster than C Flag; at that point, the C Flag team is more likely to lose the initial fire fights because they'll enter against fortified positions and multiple ambush surprise angles, and it's easy to control the map once a team enters the center. I find this to be the most frustrating map to lose on, as more or less there are three routes (four if you count hopping the fence over Hummers, but that's so exposed it's more often than not just a free kill for the enemy team) and all those routes are fortified and narrow.
Funnily enough, even though the C Flag spawn sucks, it gives more opportunities to escape spawn trapping than the A Flag spawns. The A Flag can be locked down really badly with some tactical loitering.
As an SMG user, I like most of the map, except for the area in the back by the C Flag spawn, and the Cafe lines of sight are pretty AR friendly. The center towards B Flag has bad lines of sight, but everything else in the center is fair game.

Seems like most people here are talking about dom, and I don't play enough of that to know if that tactic I'm about to suggest would work in there too. Probably not, with B in the middle.
Anyhow, Electro is a hot spot in TDM too. Generally there's always somebody tactical loitering in there, facing out towards one side or the other, watching either for enemies through either the door or the windows. What I like to do is come up either through Skips or Graves, run right through where B-Dom is, and just pop into Electro through the broken wall in the side. Almost nobody seems to expect it. Still have to watch out for corner campers, though. Sometimes I've killed an enemy hanging out in the middle of Electro, only to be killed myself by his friend crouching in the corner.

noob snipers overusing B-flag lines of sight are annoying, here is the counter: A-flag spawn (worse as might be flankable via PLAQUE) C-flag spawn (better - enemies who want to flank you might face your teammates on left or right BEFORE they reach you:

Its basically more efficient, although flanking is viable against a shielding sniper. Have you tried it/played against anyone using that setup?

1. sniper rifle + shield would not be more efficient, - best: assault rifle or any LMG you find kills fast. if flag area clear - take it or continue defending or rush: AR is the best choice.
if any threat of flanking I move left or right and try to kill - SR would be weak in CQC, qs? vs hipfired PDW57?
2. I saw noone w/ assault shield there, I am that shameless ass to block that LOS. most serious threat is flanking w/ SMG or a good sniper w/ CB, but he should be in ADS mode before I see him.
LMG won't work ag me, usually I 'll kill him before he manages to hit me 3x: I can crouch, recover and observe him - if he crouches he sees nothing.
