Beyond that point I'd say nobody really knows what's going on anymore. Look, I don't know why IW5000 is in a CS:GO thread talking about hacking in MW2. Nobody knows. He's iw5000. Are you that dense? Mousey brought up MW2, not me. Why here? Because as I said...I have played CS before. Recently even played CS-GO on the console version on Xbox a while back. Tried for a week or so. And yes, back in the day, I had some hacking annoyances. That was real. One of the reasons I stopped. So what? Why is that so difficult for you and others to understand? Oh..you are 'beav', ok. What's your deal now? You are the last defender of what is a 'TWUE PC CS' player?

A guy named Slothsquadron reworked CS:GO's weapon system into a mod. The mod is his ideal way to rebalance CS:GO and fix certain quirks in weapons. For instance jump-Scouting is no longer viable in the mod. 3kliksphilip covers the details:

In theory Counter-Strike is inherently balanced because each side has 15 rounds to play as both factions with both weapon sets on either side of the asymmetrical map. However recently de_Nuke was removed from rotation because it strongly favoured the counter-terrorists moreso than other maps. Professional players would have a tough time breaking the CT's setup because there were so many areas to check for when assault either bomb site. Furthermore the CTs had an easier time traversing between bomb sites since one site was located directly above the other.
Thorin is an eSports journalist/player that specializes in Quake, Starcraft, LoL, and CS:GO. He's been covering eSports for over a decade, and in a video he posted on his channel he discusses map balance. Most players ideally want a map pool where every map evenly favours both sides because then games look less lopsided throughout, but Thorin argues otherwise. Having every map in the pool be mostly impartial, and could also prove harmful in making the game less interesting. By having the maps skewed in the favour of one team it can make things more interesting for the players when they pick/ban the maps. It acknowledges that certain teams have strengths and weaknesses, thus giving another layer of context and depth to the game. How would happen when two teams that are really good at Terrorist play Nuke? Knowing this context makes matchups all the more interesting to watch.
One common way a map gets skewed into the favour of CTs is what Warowl considers a "Meat-grinder". A meat grinder is a map feature where you're a terrorist, and there's a lane that forces you into a position where you have to look at least two ways in order to enter. The CTs know about these funnel areas and often organize to guard them as needed. Thorin believes that this is what makes CS:GO so unique; when teams organize and co-ordinate a way to break into a bombsite together. When properly executed, what was supposed to be a map feature designed to work against the terrorists places them in a position where they do better than expected, and it's up to the other team to match that performance. It's not unlike the eco rounds. Yeah, it sucks to fight full-auto weapons with pistols, but when if a team wins an eco round or gets more than 2 kills it's a big deal.
3kliksphilip, a CS:GO Youtuber who delves into the technical aspects of CS:GO and its mechanics brings up his own side to the issue.
He notes that sided maps often boil down to luck more than anything. When you're on the backfoot you have fewer options, and while it's great to see a team of terrorists break the line and plant the bomb it also means that most games often end up in T side getting slaughtered. It makes the players feel more awful the lower their rank is, and the viewers often get bored no matter how experienced they are. When the maps there's a higher skill ceiling involved. Both teams can do more things and the games are more interesting when the game is less about map-based disparity and more about winning based on outwitting and outgunning the other team.

fnatic pls.
Explanation for those that don't play CSGO: Buying the sniper rifle, AWP, is costly and requires skill to use. Usually (when the teams got money to spend), you see 1 or, in rarer cases, 2 used per team in a round. Due to some unusual circumstances, fnatic team decides to buy 4 AWPs and try to kill anyone crossing to the other side leading to this extremely unusual and hilarious situation.

Embedding a video doesn't save the timestamp for whatever reason; the round happens at 1:14:53.
Usually the only reason a team will buy more than one AWP when they're economically ahead and can buy up every round until the end of the half. For T-side dust2 in particular two AWP shots through the doors at mid could be the difference between hitting a CT through the door and downing him.
Then there's Ninjas in Pyjamas.

And then they made history. EDIT: No seriously, a wall on de_dust2 was recently updated to commemorate Fnatic's epic play.

Well that's cool
CS:GO's newest update includes changing the hitboxes so that they're no longer boxes but pills.

The newest CSGO update added the R8 revolver which has the same damage as the AWP and replaces the deagle. For $850, you can get a pistol that one shot kills up to 560 units and up to 2350 units for head and stomach shots. What's worse is that it has a glitch where you can fire it while defusing(!) and also can get it so it's perfectly accurate for a shot. In addition, they nerfed the AK47 and M4 family. With these changes, CS:GO has gone from a tactical shooter to the Wild West.
Yee-ha!

these devs maintaining cs are the fucking worst. Anyone who doesn't play cs (like me) would see this completely disrupts balance in a not so positive way
cs needs its own icefrog

I'm somewhat annoyed by CS:GO's take on the pistols over the last few years. The Deagle single-handedly made ecos on professional CS1.6/CS:S interesting. Your economy is screwed over, you had a thousand to burn before buying up the next round. Guess what? Five pin-point headshots, and you could turn a dire situation around completely. Sometimes people managed to pull it off, and those were interesting to watch.
Then came the CZ75. It was a spray-and-pray weapon that overshadowed the Deagle, and I remember people got angry about that too. However, it made eco rounds... different. The limited ammo pool made this mini-galil warranted fewer full ecos that always resulted in a slaughter. Now the smaller economy had a chance to win or damage the other economy. Get in close. Spray. Steal a gun. Co-ordinate more 2v1s where possible. That dynamic justified the spray-and-pray nature and and offered an interesting take on eco rounds.
After several CZ nerfs the Tec9 was pushed. Now any terrorist on an eco would use this gun if they could afford it. What did you do? Spray. Spraaayyy. You might get a headshot right away, but if you didn't you had 23 (or 31) more rounds to sppprrraaaaayyy with. Sure it helped the Ts get their economy on track more often when they get beaten down, but its power made it a much more efficient weapon for dinging a CT over the Deagle.
And now we get the R8. I get that CS:GO needs to change things up every now and again, but now we have a gun that outclasses the Deagle. There's already a plethera of eco weapons out there; why not just buff an existing weapon like the Deagle instead? It's almost like the devs are adding all these new weapons to pump out new skins- oh.
So that's going to be the Achilles' Heel of the game? Weapon skins? The devs can no longer nerf a weapon too harshly or remove one because then the value of those skins are removed, and the market of skins won't offer as much revenue otherwise? I get that the cost of development post-launch is a lot with all this support, but it's muddying the design in the process. The R8 directly outclasses the Deagle so badly that I'd say this is a slimy attempt to sell weapon skins for a quick buck. The R8 has no place in this game. Zero. But it's there, and just like the CZ/Tec9 it's probably not going away because collectable weapon skins.

I don't think it's quite the weapon skins that makes the CSGO devs so slow to change anything, but their reliance on data collected over a long period of time. They do nerf weapons, it just usually takes forever. The only exception to this was when they nerfed the AUG a week after a very generous buff and...yesterday when they severely reduced the R8's power after a time of only two days. Unfortunately the rifle nerfs are still in full effect.

Unfortunately the rifle nerfs are still in full effect. Any change is good so long as its in the right direction, but in the case of the R8 I'd call it a change that happened too suddenly. If a new weapon is entering the game and won't come out because people are paying money for skins for the weapon, there should be at least some screening process to ensure that the weapon doesn't break the game. The R8 is a disaster in that sense, and it's obvious it's not going to be pulled out for that reason alone. Pre-nerf it was blindly overpowered, post-nerf it'll either be used sparingly or over the Deagle. I guess it's just there for casual players to fool around with, which has some merit. I guess. The pistol movement nerf was probably the weirdest thing. I'm not sure if that was called for. At least I don't think the Glock, of all weapons, should be nerfed. The rifle nerfs aren't exactly the end of the world. So spraying is now less viable at longer ranges; that's probably going to make buy rounds a little more interesting. I don't know; until the pros start using Galils and AUGs I doubt the nerf went too far.

The movement accuracy nerf to pistols was something the community and pros wanted. Some pistols' 1 shot kill to the head coupled with big movement accuracy made them far too nimble and deadly in close quarters for their cheap price. The nerf was warranted but lazily implemented--they just doubled movement inaccuracy for each pistol rather than adjusting them individually. This hurt the Glock the most and made pistol rounds far more CT sided than they are meant to be. The Glock will probably be buffed soon.

Yesterday's update rolled back the changes to pistols (not including R8) and the rifles. This may be an actual case of "we did it, Reddit," because they wouldn't stop (rightfully) complaining
