This thread looks pretty funny with Geo being the OP. Also Ponies>Digimon>Pokemon.

Ponies > Pokémon = Digimon > COD
At least we can agree that COD is below Pokémon! That will NEVER change.

Of course I'll wait until the full forms of the starters are released, but right now I'll take that Fennekin thank you very much!

Man, would rather have this on the Wii-U, but I suppose one of the mainstays of Pokemon nowadays is the interactivity you can have with the world around, so portable and stuff. But man, I want to relive the awesome Pokemon Colosseum days.

It's essentially a JRPG with little monsters and an antiquated combat and leveling system. Why does it continue to exist?

I like Digimon just as much as Pokémon. I still love the Pokémon games to bits though.

Froakie is obviously going to be Water/Ice, but I'm getting a Grass/Fighting vibe from Chespin. Anyone else feel the same? Fennikin looks pretty boring IMO. I don't see why everyone is getting tight pants over it.

Some of you may have already caught this online, but in the trailer Chespin used a Dark move, Fennekin used a Psychic move and Frokaie used a Fighting move. There's a really popular theory going around (that I think is awesome) that suggests Chespin will evolve to be Grass/Dark, Fennekin will be Fire/Psychic and Froakie will be Water/Fighting.
I reeeaaallly like this idea because then each starter will have super-effective STAB moves over both other starters. Ie, obviously Chespin's Grass moves will be strong against Froakie (a water type) but also it's Dark moves will be strong against Fennekin, due to it's Psychic typing. Same goes for the others; Froakie's water moves will be strong against Fennekin, but it's Fighting moves will be strong against Chespin.
This gives each starter a real fighting chance against the others, and they're also some really cool typings too IMO. Grass/Dark, Fire/Psychic and Water/Fighting have all been used before, but I really love Grass/Dark and Fire/Psychic since the only Pokémon to have those are Shiftry, Victini and Darmanitan Zen Mode - and they barely ever get used.

It's essentially a JRPG with little monsters and an antiquated combat and leveling system. Why does it continue to exist? Because it sells Nintendo Handhelds.

I don't see why everyone is getting tight pants over it. It's because Fennekin is a Fennec fox. Furries have huge boner for Fennecs. I thought furries had huge boners for animals in general. Also, that would make Chespin just a better Shiftry, which is fine with me, Shiftry is cool. Water/Fighting would be kinda lame, makes him just a slightly better Poliwrath or a worse Keldeo. Water/Ice makes more sense to me 'cause he looks like he's wearing a little parka.
