They were speaking of an objective gametype and specifically that all the deaths were centered on the second objective making it a huge grind compared to the other one. Moving the objectives a bit was part of their tweak.
The map kills were still not homogeneous after the change, though they did spread it out a bit. Most of the kills were still in the larger areas and focused on the objectives and surrounding areas. That seems pretty decent to me. The more back alley looking things looked like they had far less in kills, so that also seems good to me. I prefer being able to use the round about routes more for flanking rather than having to just constantly fight my way through them all the time like in BO1 where nearly the whole map is a maze of back alleys and intersections ensuring maximum spawn related deaths.
I can't speak to the actual map design or anything for this game, but it looks kinda interesting and Echo is sexy! Sort of CoD Elite/Bungie.net (the Halo stuff has been moved but I forget the new site) on steroids.
Also if they actually use all this data for balancing the game that's more than IW or Treyarch seem to be willing to do. Not that I know anything about BO2. (I'll prolly get around to playing it... next year maybe.)

hm well..let's wait for a few revies... if they keep the p2w mild (not even hoping for "nonexistent" anymore in f2p games, i'll already settle for "mild" by now.. ) maybe it's worth a look. also, i still like brink! but yes, it was a Foxtrotupfest of retardation in some regards..

This does look interesting
However, how the hell does aiming in this work? I thought it was a cs clone at first because the guy was hipfiring all the time, but at one point he shortly uses irons
so what it is it?

yeah i noticed the hyper accurate hipfire too.
the footage is pieced together from pre-alpha scenes..maybe they are still experimenting. *shrugs*

Well I can't remember hipfire really in Brink, but ADS was a freaking lottery. Pretty high base spread/spread increase if I remember correctly

I never played Brink but in Quake Wars hipfire was just as good as ADS.

Maybe Splash Damage is just thinking like the original Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, you couldn't ADS in that.
You could basically snipe people with hipfire from a Thompson or an MP40

The game looks very interesting. It also looks like something I'll get my ass handed to me in. Hard.

Looks too much like Brink which makes me cringe. And I like Brink, too. Meatgrinder objective points were one of the worst parts of it, so I'm glad they're trying to address that.
