To follow up on what Mousey said, all of my cards that were selling for 3-5 cents are now selling for around 15-25 cents. Cards from the Summer Sale are selling for roughly 50 cents right now.
If you're broke now's the time to sell all that shit and save up a few bucks, you'll probably be able to buy a game or two. Or if you play CS, now's the time to sell all that shit for some juicy case keys.

Weird price that you may want to capitalize on before it's fixed. Battleblock Theater is on sale for $3.74 There's a bundle that has Battleblock Theater and Castle Crashers for $2.49

The only winning move is not to play. (Also Red's winning.)

Well it's not just that, a post by a reddit user accurately predicting winners, Valve's sudden change in winners' payouts. Etc... Honestly I don't care, I ain't playing and I ain't paying.

I feel like some games were repeated in this sale a lot more than in previous sales, but I am not really sure. I only bought castle crashers 4-pack(mainly for some friends, I played through it a lot on 360 already) and defy gravity. I was going to get BFBC2, but I think I will wait a little bit longer, I think I remember it was $1 sometime last year on origin, and I have a lot of other games to play already

well this steam sale kinda sucked imo if you were someone waiting for wolfenstein to hit $30, or wanted to weasel into PA's early access before uberent inevitably drops it, then this was a nice one but besides that its all the same shit last last year and the winter sale. I got CoH2, Thief 4, Payday 2, Tomb Raider, and some indie games. Steam sales still pretty nice if youre cool with indie games. How can you possible get all those games in? Tomb Raider alone is like a couple of months of gaming, isn't it? That's a long game.

I haven't played many of those solo games lately. I thought they were all in the GTA range, like 40 hours or more.

Now I have a simple rule for solo-focused games: don't buy them at launch and wait for deals (or the free game of the month on XBL). There is simply no hurry, especially if I have enough games to play already.
In the last X360 Spring sale, I picked up a ton of critically claimed games with the price of one single new release game: Bioshock trilogy, Fallout 3, Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption, Batman - Arkam City, etc., and I have not found time to spend much time on any of them yet.
With the last gen -> next gen transition, I fully expect to see lots more X360 deals in the coming months.

That is what I do. I have only recently started playing some XBL games I think were on sale last year during the summer, like Batman Arkham Asylum that went for £3 or whatever it is. Only thing that gets in the way of going through campaigns are cheesy difficulty spikes.

I mean looking it up that one's about 10 hours, which is on the long end for a single player these days I think. Even then I got that for five dollars so its not like there's any rush, especially where there being almost no games on the horizon i care about at all. I would say 10 hours is at the long end since only one series I have completed has taken that. Hey if you have played Spec Ops that campaign took me like 3 hours to complete. I could go back to it and just do a few achievements for it I guess. Lost Planet 2 took me about 7 hours I think and that was made longer because I thought I had to constantly shoot the last boss when I had to activate a remote attack. So I wasted 45 minutes bullet hosing for no reason.

being single player the price drops pretty quickly. As I mentioned earlier: this is why I strongly recommend not to buy single player focused game at launch. Give it at least 6 month delay, and you'll get the same experience for much less (the longer wait the better). IMHO, if a game developer want to sell a game at $60, they must make it multiplayer heavy to give people a strong reason to buy it at launch, when the game's enjoyment is heavily dependent upon how large the player base is. That said, I am still scratching my head on Watch Dogs' 4 million+ sales from the first week...

thats because watch dogs was 90% hype and 10% game Isn't it a fact that all triple A games are hyped heavily nowadays? Compared with Watch Dogs, Titanfall's marketing hype is even heavier. Ads everywhere, huge discounts from Microsoft and retailers, open beta, etc. And yet it is a much less commercial success, despite that as an MP game there is a much higher urgency for players to play Titanfall right from launch vs. Watch Dogs. Possible reasons: 1) The media's obsession with graphics; (Watch Dogs 1080P good, Titanfall 900P bad) 2) MSFT hurt themselves badly with all the mistakes they made related to XONE; 3) (Despite that it is definitely the right thing to do from player community point of view) Open beta might have done more damage than good from sales point of view? If there is no beta, maybe more copies will be sold during opening week?

That said, I am still scratching my head on Watch Dogs' 4 million+ sales from the first week... My thoughts. Its a carryover from all the GTA fans still waiting for more additions/DLC to the campaign mode that RockStar never delivered on. There is a HUGE player base of GTA fans out there, that in some respects, may even be larger than the CoD player base. GTA V sold over 33 million units. There are a TON of GTA fans out there just looking to continue this experience. They want another GTA to come out. They are lurking out there ready to pounce. When WatchDogs came out, ....they pounced. It was the next GTA, on the new platforms. If anything, i am not surprised Watch Dogs did well. It was September of 2013 all over again, when GTA set new records for one day sales. GTA V sold 11 million units in 24 hours. All in all, Watch Dogs 4 million in one week isn't that impressive, seeing how it's going after the exact same people. But from what i have read, Watch Dogs is not GTA. There won't be any sustained sales that keep this game going.

If there is no beta, maybe more copies will be sold during opening week? Again though Witty, define 'commercial success'? Watch Dogs came out simultaneously on five platforms. To date, VGChartz says it has sold 0.96, 2.08, 0.84, 0.68 & 0.10 (wiU). Around 4.75 million units sold by the end of June. Of that, they sold 0.96 million on the Xbox One. TitanFall came out initially only on the Xbox One. To date, it has sold 1.92 million copies on the Xbox One. It later added Xbox 360 sales of 0.82, giving it a total of 2.84 million units sold. 1.92 is more successful than 0.96. Isn't it? You can't compare an exclusive on one system initially, against a game that sold on five systems at once. If you want to compare, i think you need to at least keep it apples to apples, and with that, TitanFall is tracking to sell better than Watch Dogs. I think TitanFall also has more legs too, as word of mouth with it is better than Watch Dogs. At least apples to apples, on the Xbox One, ....TitanFall is going to crush Watch Dogs.

PS4 is Watch Dogs leading platform, so you'll have to compare its sales on PS4 with Titanfall on XONE.
If Titanfall is available on PS4, it might have a shot to be on par with Watch Dogs. However we can only speculate at this moment.
