worked for me too, seems pretty cool so far. tanks are a bit hard to bust. shit dies a LOT faster than in coh1. mortars seem a tad OP (and the AI knows it and spams copious ammounts of those things). the AI cheats even more blatantly than in the first one (standard infantry barracks after 19 seconds). Foxtroting easy kept me on my toes and i won my only match against normal literally 500 to 499..
still some kinks to work out but it looks pretty cool, if they don't overdo it with the pay2win in the real-money shop.
there is an nda? wasn't even aware. well Foxtrot that anyway, i didn't sign anything.
right now you sorta have an editor where you make a profile, or several (5 right now). right before the match you can chose one of your 5 profiles to go into battle with.
the profile screen consists of several tabs.
in "commanders" you pick 3 commanders/doctrines out of your pool of unlocked ones to pick from when you are actually in the game. in "bulletins" you can pick three..perks, i guess that grant you bonuses, like "infantry has 2% more hitpoints" or "halftracks are produced 3% faster" (the numbers are really low right now, subtle changes). then there is another one for camos, those seem to be purely cosmetical.
of the few commanders and perks that there are now in the beta, all can be unlocked via xp. how that will look like in the finished game? no one can tell yet, but my personal assessment is that selling actual advantages is too profitable not to do it.
I got CoH 2 on sale today, on Steam, with most of the DLC. Not the DLC missions, just the Ardennes Assault and the two new factions. I hope I have fun. I used to watch BuzzCutPsycho play it. He rarely streams nowadays.
