Yeah, the LMG is more of a weapon for visual effects than practical use. Huge recoil and no silencer, pretty much screaming to the world that "I am here, come and get me"

Oops, I meant:
That, or some sort of benefit that conditions them to be superior to assault rifles in some sort of common situation. They can't just make LMGs high-recoil weapons all-around and expect them to be viable because 'big ammo'.

Seems like they are doing stance reduction big time. // View Drift "viewdrift_hipfire_stand_scale_pitch" "0.325" "viewdrift_hipfire_crouch_scale_pitch" "0.275" "viewdrift_hipfire_air_scale_pitch" "0.5" "viewdrift_hipfire_stand_scale_yaw" "0.12" "viewdrift_hipfire_crouch_scale_yaw" "0.10" "viewdrift_hipfire_air_scale_yaw" "0.22" "viewdrift_hipfire_speed_pitch" "0.6" "viewdrift_hipfire_speed_yaw" "1.22" "viewdrift_ads_stand_scale_pitch" "0.6" "viewdrift_ads_crouch_scale_pitch" "0.15" "viewdrift_ads_air_scale_pitch" "0.6" "viewdrift_ads_stand_scale_yaw" "0.34" "viewdrift_ads_crouch_scale_yaw" "0.15" "viewdrift_ads_air_scale_yaw" "0.40" "viewdrift_ads_speed_pitch" "0.8" "viewdrift_ads_speed_yaw" "1.3"

That's been their stance since they announced DLC through... And all the code for everything is mostly in there already anyways. I bought the season pass, but I'd be mad if they'd make me pay for stuff that the game shipped with.

Why? really... why? I have heard that argument so many times before. Why does it matters what was already made/included a few months ago? If it is convenient for them to already put (a part of) dlc on the disk, then why not?? It is also more convenient for you, as it will probably save quite some downloading time. You are paying for something what they think is 'the 60€ game'. There is a really big chance that they already have developed all the DLC before the game comes out anyway, so what is the problem with putting it on the disk to save everybody some money/time? Please elaborate on it, as I find it a weird argument. Sounds like something which people would care about 10 years ago. When there was actually still a big difference between a disk and an download. These days those 'borders' are much more vague. They decide what they give you for 60€, and whether that disk includes some 'unfinished' code really does not make a difference what you are paying for. Do you also complain that you have to pay for XBL and stuff? because it is already on your console, but you still need to pay for it every year. Might not be the best example but couldn't come up with a better one for now. All in all, sounds like a pretty outdated argument to me...

I'm of the opinion that Respawn really didn't "finish" the game before it was shipped. There are bits of code in the files, remnants and what not that look like planned features were either cut, or are not yet fully implemented. I also have a lot of faith in Respawn and their intentions. I like the traditional model of paid DLC being maps, while multiplayer is otherwise supported via patches and playlist and game type updates for free. This is mostly a remnant from the Halo 3 days as this is what Bungie did. (they also released the maps for free after a long period of time)
I'm not angry that they put unfinished code, that could be planned to be completed later, in the final release of the game, but I would be angry if their hand was forced by EA or MS to sell the completion of this code as I trust that Respawn intended and still intends for those parts to be part of the game.
I guess it's seen by the consumers as a form of respect to them that the Devs put all the work they have completed into the final game, and that you will pay them more later for work that they complete after the game has shipped in DLC. Including content in a shipped game that can be unlocked via a transaction makes people feel like they are paying for content they already own. Its similar to the feeling that people get when playing one of those smartphone games that are free to play at the beginning but require you to pay to continue.
The notions being held are probably remnants of the old era where online playing wasn't as common and having locked content on a disk would be infuriating. I don't know if the convenience thing you point out about having the DLC on the disk is because of your location, but in the US there are no data caps on home connections so actually downloading stuff isn't really seen as a nuisance, most people don't even have physical copies of the game anyways and are downloading any extra "finished" content to be unlocked later on their initial download, This can be seen as an annoyance, when they don't plan on buying the DLC but have space taken up on their hard drives or time taken away from initially playing the game, but these are minor concerns.
It is an outdated argument, but people do have the right to not be satisfied. They just lose that right when they buy the game. Games don't come with a contract that outlines their support, so everything is all based on trust and if that trust is broken people will be unsatisfied. They just aren't getting anything back.
I play on PC currently but anyways, XBL is a service, there is upkeep and servers to run based on my useage. XBL isn't really already on console, XBL is the servers that MS runs that you pay access for.
A season pass doesn't mean that stuff will be done when the game is shipped through, just that content will be released after the game is shipped.

I'm not the biggest fan of DLC but I think Respawn's system is fine. 3 $10 packs or a season pass for $25 sure beats 4 $15 packs with a $50 season pass. One of the biggest problems with DLC in multiplayer games is how it splits the playerbase in matchmaking. Having fewer, less expensive DLC keeps the playerbase more or less intact. Personally, I'd much rather spend $25 and be guaranteed that I'll get all future content for the game (since microtransactions have been ruled out). The best thing is that this hopefully sets a precedent for future blockbuster multiplayer releases, especially if the DLC for Titanfall turns out to be quite worthwhile. It'll be much more difficult for future CoDs, BFs and Halos to justify their existing pricing structure without serious added incentive for the consumer.
