Glad to see the shotguns are terrible. I can understand why people are sad, but it's frustrating to play against a team of them. What hahahahaha Really? I mean… shotguns aren't even that bad especially when everything kills fast at CoD.

Dear god look at the MSBullShit's 2HK range... I just vomited blood. When I get my own custom PC server, that will be the first gun on the ban list. And the PM9 (Oh I'm sorry CBJ-MS) is once again absolutely pointless when put up against the PP90M1 (Oh sorry again I meant Bizon). Aside from the integrated FMJ there's literally no reason to use that gun over the Bizon or any other SMG for that matter. And I cannot understand the R5 RGP. The AK-12 and CM901 both have the same RoF, max damage, and recoil. The R5's 3HK range is just a little bit longer, but it drops off to a 5HK while the AK never drops below a 4HK. To put the finishing curb stomp on the R5, it has a 24 round mag compared to the AK's 30 round mag. Typical IW balance... Uggghhhh. Developers need really need to start hiring teams solely dedicated to balance. Balance is the most important aspect of any competitive MP experience. IW sucks at it, Treyarch sucks at it, DICE sucks at it, almost all studios suck at it, and they never taken in suggestions from the community who usually have much better ideas about balance than the developers do. CBJ-MS actually has less range than the PM9 from MW3. /: Though PM9 got a range boost a few months before BO2 came out, right? Hoho, K7 is suddenly looking appealing.. Even with a silencer, it has the 3rd longest 3 hit and 4 hit kill range in its class(right behind MTARx and Vector. K7 having the lowest min damage is ridiculous though. Also... Marksmen rifles have much worse hipfire spread than LMGS now? WTH..

Wow these shotgun ranges make the Executioner look top tier. Did they just change those ranges recently or were they been like that before?

For the typical player, most of your fights could go either way. And just to clarify, I don't mind playing against 1 or 2 shotgunners, but when you've got a whole team of them it turns into a mess.

A whole team of any one gun turns into a mess. That doesn't justify raping, neutering, killing and then spitting on the grave of shotguns. I'd rather risk a panic knife then use a shotgun in any situation with those terrible stats.

My god the SC2010 has less recoil than MW2's ACR... and it shoots faster than MW3's ACR. It might require less skill to use than any gun in the history of COD.

Shorter range, and a 5 hit kill minimum. Its absolutely a noob gun, but I think this was there attempt of having the ACR to mechanically return while toning it down a little bit.

A perfectly accurate laser gun takes plenty of skill to use. The skill comes from aiming first, faster, and more accurately. Having to adjust for recoil is not the only measure of skill...

According the the Symthic charts, after adding muzzle-break to all shotguns, the FP6 has the best damage at all ranges, and longest range. Is is possibly better than the Tac-12?
Also how does steady aim work? Is it just a multiplier to the hipfire numbers? If so, anyone know the multiplier?

Seems like a lot of the RPMs on this chart is wrong. Based on what? Test it yourself and assuming you do the correct math, you will get the same numbers.

Seems like a lot of the RPMs on this chart is wrong. We've gone over this a million times. Fire rates are tied to frame rate so you do not get accurate results when testing from hand. You do, however, get a good estimate as to what your practical fire rate would be, since consoles are typically capable of maintaining a constant frame rate. Was all this tested on PC or on console?

Bulldog shotgun and USR sniper Gameplay
Bulldog seems okay, just the range is horrible. But it is powerful. Looks like he has Muzzle Brake I think? and Extended Mags on it. Dunno what's on the USR. (Also gets a nuke)
Also does anyone here have gameplay footage of the .44 Magnum? Or have used it? Is it good?

I wonder, does the ammo crate replenish equipment? Might actually be the latters' only saving grace here.

I've pretty much exclusively used it as my secondary and it's good really close but anything past shotgun range and you're SOL. Definitely not the .44 of past

Any idea how slugs on each of the shotguns perform? Are they anything at all like the BO2 KSG? Damage profile?

Any idea how slugs on each of the shotguns perform? Are they anything at all like the BO2 KSG? Damage profile? Was watching my mate try Slugs on FP6 with Muzzle Break, range was garbage, doesn't compare even slightly to BO2 KSG. So yeah, went to my mates to give the game a go. Quick thoughts below: -Shotguns are beyond useless. Only one I had any luck with was Bulldog with Steady Aim and Muzzle Break seeing its the most accurate setup available. Usable only at hallway ranges. Somehow got a quad with it lol. -Map design is crap. Lots of large maps which isn't bad, but they are poorly executed spawn wise. Maps tend to either have tonnes of long sightlines or are extremely cluttered with infinite blind corners and tactical loitering spots. -Spawns are rubbish, talking FFA level bad spawns but in team gamemodes. -Really bad connection issues, not sure if mates's internet or something else. I had lag spikes in 80% of games I played. -Very much a game of cat and mouse, shooting people in the back and hoping not to be shot. Head to head match-ups seemed to be total toss of the coin.

You know I hear a lot of people complaining about lag...not seen but one bad instance. I don't know if they have dedis up, I've heard they don't, but I'm always first into the match regardless. Guess the connection gods have smiled upon me for now

I was playing with the FP6 most of last night, it's not unusable, but it really sucks...
Even with muzzle brake the range is terribad. Didn't have steady aim unlocked yet, but was using gambler, so tried it out quite a few times: even with steady aim, the spread is just too big; turns every encounter into a roll of the dice instead of a skill contest.
ADS is obviously better, but then if you ADS habitually you might as well just use an SMG, the point of a shotgun is to have the drop. And a spread of 5 is not a big enough advantage over steady aim to make it a compelling strategy anyway.
Also, I don't know how many points those dogs have, suspect they have a really small character model that pellets easily miss, but the speed dogs approach (you often only get one pump shot with them in range before they strike) it can be bloody difficult to take them out when that should be exactly the kind of situation where shotguns rule!
And with big maps and no TI, you are quite likely to get picked off long before you close. Incidentally, I noticed something that might warrant further testing: you do seem to be able to use the ammo crate as a form of limited TI. You always seem to spawn very close to your own ammo crate, so if you drop it close-ish to the enemy line, you get a head start. The downside is that is almost the only reason to choose the crate...
Back to shotguns: they also got shafted on attachments: muzzle brake is a necessity and then you have another slot that is completely wasted (on the pumps at least, presumably Bulldog might get a little benefit from grip, but pretty negligible). There is nothing else you can do but add a sight you don't need.
They should have added a 'self destruct' attachment, where, as you are being knifed by the guy who two shots didn't take down, you blow up your shotgun killing you both...
