You take significant fall damage from jumping from the first floor equivalent to some bullet damage.
Gravity is OP.

I feel like with Drift0r and a lot of these YouTube Heroes, they don't really sit and think about what they are saying.
They form very fast opinions that change within weeks.
If I had a dime for every time Drift0r said something and then contradicted himself a few weeks later in a different video, I'd be happy.
Today I saw a video where Drift0r said to play with akimbo magnums wit acog sites to get better at the game. For people who already frustrated with the game, this will just drive them krazy. lol

I was like "wtf you want people to slit their wrists?!". The best way to improve your aim is to play Squads and keep practicing. I say Squads because you could probably have more lee-way upon missing so you can get used to decent ranged shots. I use Squads to warm up for normal multiplayer, especially as I snipe. Hate to be rusty and my gun accuracy is something to work for. Changing guns and other setups could add too many variables into gun handling. Edit: Drift0r also advised people to use Chrome Lined for sniping and I saw him snipe. Yeah. Anything that adds idle sway for a weapon that represents the pinnacle of marksmanship should be a no-no.

I agree. Just have to go back to the old adage... practice makes perfect. For me at least, it always takes a few months for me to "diligently" understand the games mechanics and get comfortable with the game play.

I think playing against AI is a great way to accidentally learn bad habits and think you're aiming better than you actually are. The best way to get better at most things is to play with and against people better than you, and get fu cked over and over until you slowly start emulating what it is that's fu cking you. CoD is no exception.

CoD is no exception. Well, it need not be exclusive and you can set the AI difficulty higher. I've had easier games against real players than bots even on the easier difficulties for some reason. It's more about practicing with the gun if you're fairly new to a specific weapon type to become comfortable at a rudimentary level, then progress that against real players as opposed to playing Squads hours on end without venturing into online multiplayer. I would still suggest some practice with new sights or something because not everyone gets along with certain optics. I know I hated the HAMR scope in MW3 and I ended up ditching it completely after minor usage against other players. Against bots I might have seen I wasn't going to like the optic without having to use it against human players.

Although I do disagree with him saying everyone should try it, I wouldn't recommend it for new players/easily frustrated players.

CoD is no exception. Playing against AI is also great for discovering some of the more effective sniper roosts and power positions. It's kind of fun watching the kill cam to see a bot killing me from a location that I didn't even know was accessible to players. I'll either use that spot every now and then, or (more significantly) check for enemy personnel whenever I happen to be patrolling that area. It's the same reason I watch Tmartn's Jumps and Spots series - in the days following each video release, I have a blast hunting down people camped out in those very locations.

What do you guys think about XboxAhoy? I've always preferred him because of the more polished style of the guides over that of Drift0r or Raging Amish (I actually prefer some of Amish's Black Ops content over Drift as well), plus I don't think he brings his own bias into it or at least not as much. That's just my opinion though.

I never really watched any because anything reliable leads back to here anyway. I'd still vote for driftor since he's come on the irc several times to confirm/get explanations on stuff which leads me to belive he invests more in legitimacy than most. He is guilty of overly-dumbing stuff down but they all do that anyway. But yeah drift gets all his shit from here and I remember marvel whining about xboxahoy being wrong about shit. If you browse this forum there's no real purpose for it. What was he wrong about?

By everybody else's estimation, I have probably the least solid reason for liking Drift0r as a Youtube Hero: I really enjoy his voice, manner of speaking, command of the English language, and overall style of narration. And as you mentioned, he really does seem to genuinely concern himself with putting good information out there. Even when his information and methods fall a little short. I also like Xbox Ahoy. Subbed both.

It's ironic that you say that, because Stu mentioned that he wanted to cut down the time of his videos because a lot of the community doesn't have a large attention span (I don't remember which video he said this in).

One I can remember is that in his R870 video he listed its speed as 95% Drift0r gets things wrong too as well, most recently with the FAD and its recoil reducing in the first 8 shots, not 10. Never

Drift0r is a god among children on YouTube. Hardly anyone puts an actual measure of effort into CoD stuff anymore unless there are new people who I don't know about because I more or less never watch anything CoD-related anymore...

Try out Raging Amish. You may or may not like his new stuff, but his older content (Black Ops) is gold.

Yes Amish has always made fun vids (I'm GameFAQs filth, too) but "All Good Things Must Come to An End" (~Ron Paul, 2008) and I'm happy it sounds like his lack of Duty/YouTube time is for positive and personally-fulfilling reasons.

Both drift0r and XboxAhoy are awesome.
I like XboxAhoy's style of giving the history of the gun first.. He also gets to the point faster and his videos are shorter. Though the options he recommends for setups for a weapon are narrow.

And what do you mean by his options being "narrow"?
