You have to hold the shovel at the two ends of the stick and squat. Not bending your back and using your arms and lunges to scoop up snow to pivot and throw. Whenever you arc the shovel you want it so the hand on the far end is pulling while the close one is pushing (think circle w/hands, shovelhead at outside). I repeat, don't use your back, use your hips and arms! I just experimented a little with fatherly advice to find the most comfortable and efficient technique I could. Hey is it snowing more now or something? I blame Den. Yeah well when I do that I hurt my shoulder. It's a lose lose situation either way, which is why I hate it. Plus I'm on a turn so snow plows bury us

What the Foxtrot is Snow? As a Texan, I'm not sure. From some research, I think it has something to do with that cold stuff you find in the freezer, but I can't confirm this.
