I'm just coming up to level 5 so for me the two worst so far have been plasma railgun, unbelievably frustrating when you've done all the hard work, you've got one shot left to kill and someone sneaks in and takes it away from you.i don't know how many times that happened but it was a lot.second was the charge rifle i just found using it a bit boring really and again a little frustrating as it's not very often they stand nice and still for you to hit them. anyway I'm sure I'll have more frustration to come as i still have another 5 levels to go,but it does make levelling up more interesting i don't think i ever prestiged more than four times in CoD.

Im on GEN 5 now , the plasma railgun was a bit of a grind but not too bad once you got the hang of it , same with the charge rifle challenge , pretty easy once you got to grips , getting 20 Titan kills with quad rockets to unlock rapid fire was a bitch I reckon the gooser challenge on GEN 5 could be tricky , prestiging in Titanfall is far better than COD,s effort ..

I've never really bothered to prestiege much. If I manage to level cap I usually prestiege once before I quit playing said game. If I actually manage to play TF enough I may have more of a go at it. Now that I'm getting the hang of unlocking it's kinda fun, though I'd still prefer to earn points and cash them in for stuff I want. Though there really aren't that many attachments as is. I hope they add more. I love to customize. I'd really hoped we could customize our titans and pilots more too. Mebbe in the next one.

In terms of difficulty, none of them are terribly hard. Getting 100 wins to go from G8 to G9 is definitely the most time-consuming. You'll only have between 10 and 20 wins when you reach level 50.

i just had a look at a regen wiki page some of the later levels look like they'll be really time consuming for me. I'm glad they reduced the gooser challenge though, even before it was reduced i remember seeing quite a few people past level five, that was some going for them.

Gooser when it was 50 was pretty brutal. I'd say the 'worst' is "Look Down Below" or whatever it's called, where you have to get 100 kills by titanfall. Not really super hard, not really the most time consuming, but just the stupidest in terms of screwing with your play style for no benefit. You have to hold onto your titan, find groups of minions, call it in, hope it goes where you were trying to point, and try to coax said minions into not moving. Annoying. It should have just been 'kill 5 enemy titans by titanfall' or something.
Getting 100 wins was a nice little break honestly. Just playing the game without worrying about challenges before that final push in Gen 9. Disarmed in Gen 9 was pretty annoying. Executions with an Ogre don't come that easily. Brain Surgeon in theory wasn't a big deal, but it's glitched, so if you don't get the last hit in on the titan, even if you doomed it, you won't get credit.

I am now in Gen 8, having trouble with "Look Down Below" and can really use some good tips on how to do it.

I am now in Gen 8, having trouble with "Look Down Below" and can really use some good tips on how to do it. Never mind, I can now do this consistently. The minions don't move if they have a target, so I have to act as bait to keep them still. It is a stupid idea to make this challenge a regen requirement. Grinding for grinding's sake is always a bad design.

Actually, I may still need some tips. Is there a precise way to control where the Titan is dropped? It is frustrating when I found a group a minions at a location where I found them, only to see the game drops the Titan at a location nowhere near the minions.

No clue, but one thing you can do is try to get rodeo'd while in a titan, pop smoke, and if the enemy pilot jumps off try to stomp on them. I'm on PC so it goes quite a bit faster, but after I pop smoke I'll look about 45 degrees upward and spin the camera around which almost always allows me to see which direction the pilot is jumping to (the smoke ends about eye level of the titan so you have a pretty clear view of pilots this way).

witty, play The Battle of Demeter campaign mission over and over for that challenge. Hundreds of minions continually spawn in drop pods in the back of the map. You can easily get 10+ per game.

Oh, great! I'll try that once I completed 100 wins challenge (44 to go). I am currently 22 out of 50 on "Look Out Below".

The Titan drops more or less where you're aiming so long as it's a droppable spot, otherwise it tries to find the closest point to that or something. Not really sure. If you focus on it, it doesn't take that long, uhhh, at least nowhere near as long as the 100 wins. You just need to be opportunistic with the minions and hunt them down. I find the Nexus minion spawns to be pretty good for it. And there always seems to be plenty of minions on... the village level... whatever it's called. The early campaign mission, colonists with a distress signal, whatever. Also, if you start harassing the minions while waiting for your Titanfall it can keep them from trying to take up a new position, just shoot near their feet or something. I went back and forth as to whether minion detector for finding big scores or warpfall for fast drops was best. I'd lean towards warpfall. If you catch an enemy drop pod before it unloads and time it just right, it's a thing of beauty.

I experimented with warp in "Classic" but without minion detector it's hard to find targets, especially I also need to focus on winning the game for the other challenge so I can't afford to spend a lot of time looking for minions. I did not think of playing campaign levels until you guys suggested. I imagine campaign + warp is going to be a great combo for getting this done.

No lie. I finally got my first titanfall onto a titan on purpose not too long ago. (Have had a few very unlucky peeps run up under it out of the blue just as it fell.) I was in a building and there were titans everywhere, which I usually try to avoid to drop mine, but since that wasn't an option I went to a window to see what was up. There was a titan shooting at somebody else so I unloaded my rockets and dropped the marker then ducked to reload. I popped back out to shoot again and this time he noticed me, but I managed to duck back before he more than singed me and then there was a nice crunch and my titan was waiting for me. It was delicious distracting him into standing still for me. mwahahaha

Nice work in the video pegusas. I was going to suggest this a while ago but couldn't be bothered, but Usagi put his screenshot up aswell. What i was going to suggest was somebody start a thread with videos of their proudest moments or their big mistakes or anything they felt like really, as sometimes there's not a lot going on here. I would start it but I don't know how to link xbox recording with whatever plays it and put a link on here, I'm sure it's probably not that hard but i am a lazy bastard (i also forget to say xbox record). Also I'm having huge problems with gooser challenge. When i wasn't actively trying I'd get the odd one here and there, but now I'm going for it, it's not happening (performance anxiety maybe), people jumping out of titan before it's doomed is main problem, then yesterday i had one in my sights and started getting pounded by another titan and couldn't keep my aim steady,so missed an easy one. I should've recorded it it would have got the ball rolling for our other thread.

The gooser challenge was a weird one , got stuck for a good bit after 2 then when i got the 3rd the next 2 came relatively easy , the problem is the amount of players using nuclear ejections and autotitans , im going for stryder executions at the mo and while its not too difficult im getting creamed a few times with nuclear ejectors its really bursting my tights , its like martyrdom in cod..

I did gooser in 3 games using the arc cannon. Dat instant shot.
Nuclear ejection is basically for punishing groups of overzealous ogres.

Hey Dumien stop rubbing salt in my wounds. I suppose it's like anything, when you really want it you can't get it. I'm going to just play without trying to get them and see if that works maybe you should try it with your fresh squeezed challenge, i hope it works.

I've only been killed by nukes a handful of times. My immediate reaction when I see the white flash is to dash the feck away at all costs.

Since the bolt is released instantaneously just preemptively look to the sky and fire as soon as your reticle turns red. Play Last Titan standing. Don't be afraid to camp other people's titan kills.

You dash in for the punch, only to find out your intended victim is going nuclear, and you don't even have a dash to get away Moral of the story: if you are an Orge, don't use your dash to get into situations that you may need to get out

Thanks Dumien the last titan standing idea could be a stroke of genius. I had been using arc cannon, then switched to chaingun cos I'd previously had a few with that, but i missed a few easy ones so i went back to arc cannon and got two almost right after each other but this final one is still eluding me.

Just a few more Plasma Rifle criticals as well. Just finished up Kraber, the last weapon. So once those two challenges are out of the way I can put my try-hard classes back on and knock out the remaining ~30 MVPs. Will be nice to finally be Gen 10 on both Xbox One and PC.

The ogre is by far my favorite titan. Everything else feels so squishy. It just lasts SO long and the melee game is just SO fun (and shockingly good for a FPS).
