I'm gonna get one when Smash 4 comes out. If you're willing to trade in stuff for it then you can save by doing it early. At gamestop at least there's a 40% increase in trade in value towards a bunch of games including smash 4 (30% without the card). It still counts if the bonus exceeds the cost of the game. I basically got a smash 4 preorder + $50 credit for free. But then again I had like two milk crates worth of stuff to turn in. I'm waiting to see if there's gonna be a limited edition Smash 4 Wii U bundle. It might come with that Gamecube controller adapter. Even if it doesn't I 'll be saving money.

It's a shame their current consoles don't reflect that. Maybe next gen.
Oh, what if they end up being the first to release a real 1080p 60 fps console? That would be amazing.

My personal interpretation is more complex and deep gameplay mechanics and super buff awesome design.

To add on this discussion, I'm seriously considering to buy a Wii U as my first next gen console. Why? The exclusives keep to a consistent high quality (like say the new Zelda and Mario titles) and the prices are plain cheap overall -- $299.99 and free online is hard to say no to. :3 Not only that, I adored the N64 for real social interaction and owned a GameCube if solely for Melee, so this owes to a bit of nostalgia as well.
Furthermore, I've grown tired with the monotone of super-gritty ultra-violent video games in which their multiplayer components are guaranteed to have children labeling you a faggot at every opportunity. In addition to what feels like having a forced status icon, I also feel that the super-gritty ultra-violence is the reason many recent games become uninspired. Despite that, a PlayStation 4 isn't wholly out of my personal spectrum afterwards.
So, any other pushes?

Pushes? For me, not really. I left all my Xbox friends for this Wii U and 3DS thing. Oh, well, I've derived fun out of it for a while!
However, I do fear the next 'bust'. It is inevitable, have you seen the stock market recently? It's the biggest bubble the fed has ever created. Japan is even worse, Abenomics is wrecking their shit, so Nintendo won't be able to 'pull' us out of the next crash, which will cover a hell of a lot more than just a few industries. Other than that, you are right, the quality of their product is consistently high, and if anything they'll be the ones left over to pick up the pieces, but they won't create any full-scale revival.
Edit: Alibaba tho

Yeah, I'd say things are looking up for my considerations~. If circumstances serve well enough, expect me to have a Wii U following next paycheck. It's been too long since I delved into that certain Nintendo glory.
I'm also not too concerned with a bust, in all honesty; just give me a memorable library of games and I'll be content. They've done well enough of a revival as it is.

Well then, guess which amicable, weeaboo Canadian now has a certain sequel console to Nintendo's ace in the hole? Yes, my Wii U is now in fruition. :3
In any case, not only do I need to figure out how the hell I can make room with my PS3, I'll need to get around the basics in the event I actually start the system. Tensions are growing swiftly, I say... makes me feel like an eight-year-old Denbro in candyland. ^^;
Also fuck yes Mario Kart 8.

... Why haven't I thought of that? Still, I hope it wouldn't be prone to heating problems, what with one active console doing in the bottom one.
Anyway, Smash is the system seller if there ever was one, so that'll be a boon to indulge in once Nov 21 hits. As for MK8, wouldn't the multiplayer be the cream of the crop? :3
And just to be curious, what kind of Minecraft server is it? I do enjoy my blocky adventure occasionally. :3

... Welp, bikes it is then. Sharp turns are straight up punishing in this game -- even tapping B slows you down to a crawl, so that's a no go for carts or whatever. What's the best bike setup for Shy Guy and Rosalina? I'm mostly partial towards them.
Also I've made a pretty bad habit of not looking at my touchscreen. Just too damn absorbed into the actual gameplay itself... and again, watching out for those sharp turns. I'm a 150cc/Extra player at heart.
Anyway, I'm getting pretty used to the tracks, though I'll have all the time to play following this Wednesday, after work shifts. For online, how does one go about with adding friends and vice versa? :3

From what I've noticed with inside drifting, you can somewhat head into the opposite direction, but far less liberally than normal drifting. It does get me by, though, what with that slight bit of control being just enough for my comfort zone (and not wind up oversteering completely). Bunny hopping can go for all I care; the last thing I want at this point is cream into a wall or grass and lose top three. Might as well play things safe.
The drifting bit is a given, too -- those extra speed boosts can make or break games. By the look of things, I'm fortunate to see that Rosalina classifies as a Heavyweight (lel), so it's more to my fortune. Looking around more, what's your verdict with Azure Rollers? I'm quite partial of Acceleration/Handling characteristics, especially.
Regarding miscellaneous Wii U stuff, I'll figure it out eventually... but one question, is it fine to leave the Gamepad plugged in as you play? Having it recharge is the only thing stopping me play right now, lol.

Now that MK8's first DLC pack is out, I would like to establish that the Master Cycle is a retardedly good inside drift bike. Still contemplating on complementary wheels and glider~.

Haven't been able to play Brawl (and subsequently Project M) on my Wii U, so here's some novice questions; is the newer Wiimote Plus model compatible with the Wii mode? Could one also use the Classic Controller Pro in tandem with said newer model? Thanks in advance. :3

Yes, new Wiimote+ is compatible. I have the regular Classic Controller, and that works. If the code is the same then it will.

Well, that solidifies my purchasing for the most part. I'd imagine Classic Pro would work just as well, then, since it's design is derivative from the older Classic. While I know said controllers won't work with certain Wii U titles (like Hyrule Warriors), I'm not wholly against the notion of holding the Wiimote sideways. It's the fighting genre that necessitates the more conventional controller, I deem.
Thanks again! :3
