GAAAHHHH!

I can't even get into anything else because I just want to play Destiny. I sit down to play, stare at the screen trying to decide what to play, and draw a blank. Dammot! I'm gonna rip my Foxtroting dick off!

The beta has ruined me. heh

Maybe if I force myself to play some Titanfall that'll help pass the time. Burn cards are kinda like loot...

Yup. I actually forced myself to play CoD4 last night just to try to do something to get the Destiny urge to go away. First time I've played CoD in almost a year. Didn't help in the slightest. Might try some MW2 tonight to see if that's any more effective. I don't have my hopes up.

Wow really? Might need to see a doc about that. Or just get more games you like. Or multitask. I regularly play games while watching movies, audio books, some podcasts, educational or entertainment YouTube videos. Hell I've recently finished Arkham Origins, watched Assault on Arkham, watched Necessary Evil, caught up on @midnight and found an awesome new show Showdown of the Unbeatables, started up a new Mass Effect play through, Dragon Age play through, some BF4, some CoD4, MW2, BO2, Dead Island, and even some Skyrim...God I do nothing outside of work. FML

I have over 400 games on steam, all the free games on PS3 & PS4, and a handful of other games on console besides, tv shows I've been recording to watch, youtube channels I'm subscribed to, Netflix, a girlfriend...

So I sit down at night and ask myself what I want to do... "I want to play Destiny!!!!"

Guys. Guys. idk if you watch anime or not but if you do like anime... Sword Art Online 1 and 2 are good tide-overs to get you even more hyped for Destiny.

SAO 1 season 1 is the best. season 2 is alright. SAO 2 is coming out weekly right now and makes jabs at the COD/MLG scene.

I recommend it. It is best going in blind. SAO1EP1

I have a huge backlog of great single player games on X360 that I should really get to before the big waves of new games are released, these are the games that I did not play at launch but picked up when they are offered with deep discount:

Bioshock trilogy
Half Life series
Skyrim
Arkam's City
L4D2
Gears of War trilogy
Red Dead Redemption
...

However, I have a huge bias towards MP games. So I probably still end up playing Titanfall most of the time. New maps, then trying to complete all the challenges.

Sadly, when 9/9/ comes and you guys' wait are over, I have to go out of town for a month and can't play until mid October. Petition for XONE bros: it would be great if you can keep at least one character at low level to have something that can work well with mine

Wow, that blows witty! I can probably help with your request though. I plan on playing through as all 3 classes for sure, and may even try to do it with 6 different characters to take maximum advantage of all 6 subclasses. I think it's safe to say I won't be able to do all that in just a month. Any idea what class you'll play first? It may not end up mattering for the story content, but it might be a good idea to coordinate it so we don't end up playing the same class. Just an idea.

All 3 classes feel interesting enough for me to start, so I am sure we can have whatever variety we want

BTW, I believe each player can only have 3 characters, but each character can have different loadouts with different subclasses or same subclasses with different focus.

That sucks Witty, as I know you are really looking forward to this game. Can't you haul the XBone off with you? Sneak in a few sessions?

Red Dead Redemption is pretty fun online, especially with a friend or two. Though I dunno if you'll find anybody else online at this point. Free roam was always my favorite. I loved the impromptu battles with other players.

Last of Us is pretty cool. Also playing some Mercinary Kings and some Divinity on PC to scratch that looting itch, though Last of Us does have a bit with the crafting stuff.

Anybody else doing anything interesting to stave off depression that Destiny is still a month away? ;3

I turned 38 yesterday... woo. Got a nice controller dock for my birthday.

Not much time for Last of Us. Very cool game, but does nothing for my Destiny itch. Nibbled on Mercenary Kings. Started doing more Hearthstone and I'm finding that more cathartic, though I've yet to win an online game against a stranger, (not that I've played many). Mostly still just grinding practice or Naxx and playing some games with my GF, but actually building a deck via some advice from these boards and that's going well. (Other than accidentally disenchanting the first four cards I crafted for my deck, wasting 140 dust ARG!)

CoD:AW MP being shown... It sounds cool, but I almost don't care. heh Destiny Crucible game modes revealed... now that's more interesting. I plan on playing some of that for sure this time around, but maybe not ASAP. I might have to get back to level 8 first before I'm ready for it. heh

I still kinda feel like I'd gnaw my own leg off to play it early, though... Distractions, not working.

Titanfall new maps are pretty good . You need to try not to pull all of your eggs in one basket in case that Destiny did not deliver as much as expected (e.g.: playable content ran out soon after the release).

After the recent announcements, looks like my schedule is packed for the rest of the year:

Now -> 09/09: Titanfall, piles of games on X360 to get into;
09/09 -> EOM September: away from video games while the rest of the world are playing Destiny;
October: catch up to the world on Destiny;
November: More Destiny, Halo MC, likely CoD:AW, probably Sunset Overdrive;
December: Destiny Expansion Pack 1 (?), more Halo, likely more CoD:AW, probably more Sunset Overdrive, possibly Titanfall Map Pack 3;
January 2015: Halo Guardian beta, Evolve beta (?)

Yeah I need to play more Titanfall. I just haven't been touching it as the only free time I've had for it was late at night and I'm too out of practice to feel up to being roflstomped what little time I do have to play. Mebbe this weekend, though.

Really, though. Unless Destiny has almost nothing that wasn't in the beta or I become unemployed, it will have a massive amount of content for me, so I'm not particularly worried.

I will likely get CoD:AW as well. Maybe even at launch. I dunno. We'll see, and I'll have to pick PC or PS4... Hard choice that given I prefer mouse & keyboard, but my bro will likely want it for PS4. He doesn't even use a mouse on his computer, the heretic. heh


Won't get an XBONE for a good while but the Halo stuff looks cool. Sunset Overdrive looks kinda interesting, but a bit too silly for my tastes. I don't think I'd like it that much, but maybe for the coop as I do love coop, even more than competitive MP.

I'm definitely looking forward to Evolve, but I doubt I'll play the beta. I'm already sold on the game, I'd just rather wait and play the final version. Though... I'm not sure how I'm going to pull that off as I don't think I have four other friends who will play it with me...

I'm also interested in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

I am still not sure about Evolve, not very interested in playing as the Monster, and to have fun as Hunters I need to have enough friends who are into it. The great thing is that it will have a XONE exclusive beta, so I can try it out and see if I like it or not.

Skyrim and Borderlands 2 are in the "pile of X360 games" that I need to get more into (Time played in Skyrim: 1 hour, Borderlands 2: only played Zer0, got to level 54).

That'll just about make it until 9th. I have the "P.T." demo to try.

I'm kinda rusty since I haven't had a chance to play TF lately, but there were some good vids in the other thread and using big punch with vortex shield sounds like a good combo because if you have enough ordinance floating around in it to doom them then I believe the punch goes strait into execution unless they have eject. Might catch some pilots off guard, especially if they are trying to nuke you.
