Four goes at incursion earlier. All four went past Lvl 13. One involved all four people dying AFTER the APC was destroyed. FML.

It's a lootsplosion! I think I got 11 or 12 set pieces to drop yesterday in 5 or so hours doing the HVT missions. No Striker or Sentry pieces though, unfortunately. Lone Star stuff was dropping left and right.

Lone Star stuff was dropping left and right. Hmmm. I've noticed the same. I'm only interested in completing the old sets. Only seeing new sets drop. Not just for me either. For my buds too. bradman - that's right innit?

I've seen a couple old set pieces drop. I got a Sentry holster and Tactician's knee pads yesterday -- one from a DZ supply drop, and the other from an HVT. Still way more Lone Star than anything else though -- I've gotten every piece of that set plus several duplicates already.

Drop rates have improved but there is still a lot of RNG in the game with armour bonuses and weapon talents etc.

No major nerfs to other weapons and talents, just buffs (take it with a grain of salt, they're already fixing Balance The prophecy has spoken - critical hit chance got capped at 60%. It didn't affect my build but I can see why players find this stealth nerf disappointing. It also means I won't be bothering with difference setups, due to time and resources wasted on crafting. Hey, it's just like Destiny again.

Anything in the 'ol 8 ball about LMGs? They still suck, which is a shame because I have an M60 with Meticulous and an attachment that buffs its magazine size to like 180 rounds so I barely reload. Here is how I think they could be fixed (not my article).

Some tidbits from the 1.3 update coming June 28; 229 GS weapons confirmed.
1.3 weapon balancing
SMGs losing natural critical hit chance bonus for critical hit damage
ARs now get bonus armor damage (only applies to PvE lol)
LMGs get 30% bonus damage to targets out of cover (applies to both PvE and PvP)
Shotguns get more stagger (only applies to PvE lol)
also new weapon talents.

To-do list for Tuesday: Get a new shotgun. Get a new LMG. Run 3 pieces of Lonestar, savage gloves, and 2 more pieces of whatever. Profit.
Shotguns are already the best DPS weapons in the game, statistically speaking, and now they're getting a ~30% buff to base damage (in addition to the ~12% increase we'll probably see going from 204 up to 229). I don't think people have caught on yet to how crazy good they're going to be. Everybody on Reddit is still too busy trying to figure out if the SMG changes from CHC to CHD are a buff or a nerf to realize that it doesn't really matter. Shotguns are going to be better either way.

Vector and Aug nerfs will apply to all, old and new. With much tougher enemies and weaker gear set combos, a shifting of the goalposts by Massive.

•You can now recalibrate one of your Weapon Talents at the recalibration bench. •Recalibrating a weapon talent requires Weapon Kits and Phoenix Credits. Weapon Kits can be acquired through drops in the game or crafted.
GAME CHANGES
Gameplay

You will now leave combat after reaching a certain distance away from the enemy or after a set amount of time. •Players will now be disconnected from the game server if they are inactive for 15 minutes or longer. •Players can now matchmake from inside no-respawn areas and can fast travel into activities while the group is in a no-respawn area. •You can no longer kick a group member in a boss fight and up to one minute after it has been completed. This restriction does not apply to group members who are AFK or outside the mission area.
These changes only impact weapons acquired after Update 1.3 unless stated otherwise.
Added unique bonuses to several weapon families: •LMG – Increased damage to targets out of cover by X%. •Shotguns – Added a chance to stagger NPCs. This will not affect other players. •Assault Rifles – Added an enemy armor damage bonus. This does not impact damage done to other players. •Changed the weapon bonus on SMGs from a % crit hit chance to % crit hit damage. Increased the base damage of Shotguns. •Decreased the damage done by the AUG and Vector. This impacts all new and existing ones. •The damage done by Explosive bullets has been reduced. •The status effect of Incendiary bullets has been reduced against other players.
Dark Zone
The 231+ Gear Score Dark Zone bracket will include more powerful NPCs. DZ 01-02 NPC lvl 33 DZ 03-04 NPC lvl 34 DZ 05-06 NPC lvl 35 DZ 05-06 in Gear Score bracket 201-230 will now have a chance to drop Gear Score 229 High Ends and 268 Gear Sets. •Dark Zone chests now scale better with the Gear Score bracket and the named zone you are in.

Ok. Sounds good. I think. Too many variables to be sure until it starts and we actually see what's working. Good to hear the boxes scale though. No more pointless dz 163 'rewards!'

Bungie shifts the meta in Destiny to extract additional playing time from players. I didn't mind the general nerf to SMGs, but to retroactively nerf the damage to the AUG and Vector, while not bothering with the damage buff to old shotguns, is irritating. That, and Bungie cited popularity of the Aug and Vector as a justification of a nerf, but they were the only two guns that had Blueprints widely available. Perhaps something is actually oerused because the alternatives are not viable, or are just non-existent. This is the same logic that Bungie used to justify destroying high impact assault rifles just because of the overuse of the Suros Regime in Iron Banner since there was a daily bounty that required 20 headshots with an auto rifle.

Bungie? You mean, Ubisoft... right? Or are you blaming Bungie for a nerf to a game that they don't make? You're bordering IW levels of irrational hatred.... Unless I missed a press release

Here's the skinny on todays' patch:
Reduced the base damage of all G36 Assault Rifles by 15%. Fixed a bug where named weapons could not have their talents recalibrated. Fixed a bug where the Megamap would not open for some players. Fixed a bug where using the Evacuation Point in Underground before the new Objective Notification has appeared caused the mission UI to break. Fixed a bug where the AlphaBridge Gloves could miss some of their attributes. Note: this change is retroactive, which means that all attributes on existing AlphaBridge Gloves will be rerolled. Fixed a bug where the game music would stop completely when logging out while inside an Incursion. Fixed a bug where recalibrating the last Talent on the PP-19 submachinegun would not yield a free Talent. Fixed a bug where the Sentry Gear Set bonus would incorrectly apply when using The Showstopper automatic shotgun. Fixed a bug where using a Signature Skill could cause the visual effect to be applied to all nearby players (not just group members). Fixed a bug where weapon talents could stack indefinitely while using the Alpha-Bridge Gear Set 4-piece bonus. Fixed a bug where recalibrating weapon talents would yield a random bonus, instead of the one selected in the UI. Fixed a bug where players would die when returning to certain missions after respawning in a safe house. Fixed a bug where PC players would be able to use multiple consumables at the same time.

Why? G36 nerf? Apparently the Alpha Bridge gloves are now giving double stat rewards. I've seen images of 1450 skill electronics value.
