Excuse my ignorance, but isn't that circular? There is only one Raid in the game, so how does one get 'raid gear', without doing a raid? Level 27/28 can attempt VoG with a resonable chance of success. To get there you don't need Raid gear. I'm waiting until 28.  |

Dumb question.
Before you get marks, do you have to get to rank 1?
I'm at about 390 out of 1500, with 0 Vanguard marks. I'm "enjoying" the grind, but gah, I need to do more bounties that are vanguard related and not queen/crucible related.... can I drop some bounties for new ones?

If you are still progressing with your rank then I would say no as you will have your rank ready by the time you can earm them, and there is a limit of 100 a week and 200 in total (unless you spend it) and the grind takes a while. It is Bungie's way of getting people to pay for armour and use them before they can buy legendary weapons. |
