Heh, I Googled it and it appears to be good. I tried doing the weekly mission and was so close destroying the massive Hydra before its minion got me (as a Hunter) so now I am going in with my Defender. I have bought it a few minutes ago.

On sheer bloody luck, I got the Helm of Saint-14 out of an exotic helm engram from Xur on the first try. Step inside my Defender bubble and you're blinded. Simply brilliant.

Pretty sure this is the gun that wrecked me in every PvP game I played over lunch. Fun.  Might have to buy it instead of the Alpha Lupi chest armor that I was planning to buy and save for whenever I get my Titan leveled up.

Ehhh, still going to be really good unless ARs get super nerfed.  The last upgrade (bonus damage and chance to heal while using the bottom half of a magazine) is pretty awesome.  It also has several switchable abilities that can increase range that could be toggled on whenever the need arises.  Those abilities could totally counteract whatever nerf is incoming.

You high level guys are making me wonder whether I should ever play Crucible, since I don't have the $$ to buy this thing. How much does it cost? 23 Strange Coins? + some other stuff? I simply can't afford it

Yup, 23 coins. My biggest issue in the Crucible today was trying to do 15 sniper headshots to complete a couple bounties. I tried to snipe exclusively hoping to knock that out as quickly as possible, much to my own detriment. I was fine after I finished that and played normally, and it isn't some kind of game breaking weapon (at least that I've seen so far), so don't sweat it too much.

It's good for PvP but doesn't seem to be a great all around weapon. The slower rate of fire while ads and extreme accuracy are good for longer ranges but at a mid range the slower time to kill and crazy penalty for missing shots with only 300 rpm is rough.

I'm not sure exactly what either of the mods do even after playing with them for several games. Asking my friend what it felt like to get hit with the high impact shots he said it was may be a bit slower to move, not CoD weapon flinch. I guess that would help against people who strafe and close range supers too. Need more info! And the additional damage in bottom half of mag is inconsequential. The restores health actually just seems to get more likely the further down the mag you get but it isn't in chunks. No, it starts health regen. Good if an enemy your in a fight starts missing or you kill them and quickly get your health back but it won't save you from good shot. Still, slow TtK makes me go to other guns when I don't think I'll be able to keep enemies at range.

I will avoid the Iron Banner (in 2 weeks) for sure, getting repeatedly mowed down by exotic weapons like this does not sound fun

The Regime is essentially the BO2 release FAL with full auto. It's gorgeous.


For what its worth, very few people were running with these today. Most PvP matches I was in I was the only one with it, and only came across 2 or 3 other users. If I had to wager, I'd say either a lot of players can't afford it, or they feel it's too slow (the latter I've heard voiced more than once).

I'm gutted. I really wanted it but was 10 coins away.
I did find a Galahad though with the slower fire rate when ads'd. That's pretty good. I'll certainly be holding the 23 coins, once earned, for when it comes around next. I bought the warlock helm as a consolation prize.

Don't sweat it. Maybe some day you will get it from a loot drop and save you 23 coins for something even better

I can confirm this gun is awesome in PVP. Heavy hitting headshot laser beam. Not exactly the Vex Mythoclast from the other thread, but good enough for now.
