I've seen very little talk about this which is rather disappointing as it's the one thing I've been preparing for since the very launch of the game.
For the people who do not know too much about it it's pretty much just regular crucible event starting from 7th october lasting a week, though the M Night Shyamalan plot twist here is that level advantages are active.
Meaning all stats matter.
I don't know if too many people can really comprehend what this means, if you're high enough level and got enough ascendant energy upgrades, your fancy handcannon might actually 1-shot people who are a couple levels under you.
I don't have the stat table right now but if you're 3 levels lower than you're opposer you do less than 50% of your damage on him? This stuff is insane. Though I do think there will be some heavy matchmaking on this, although this wasn't too prevent in the beta, if you're level 28 you'll probably end up with people around your level.
And the one thing I'm very excited about here is the exclusive iron banner gear, which is rumored to be level 30 gear like the loot from the raid, but I'm not too sure about this yet we'll have to wait and see.
That pretty much sums it up.
So what are people's thoughts on this? Anyone made any plans in regards to this event?
I have for starters, me and my buddy who's also level 29 was originally planning to be level 30 for this event but even doing the raid every single raid so far has not granted us the very last raid piece we need, such a shame really. Here's my Warlock. My PVP setup currently consist of the Suros I-win Regime, raid sniper rifle and the Zombie Apocalypse heavy machine gun.
Getting them all fully upgraded before the event, I have over 50 ascendant energy and earned well over 100 shards at this point, I was originally saving some up for the last piece of raid gear but I might actually upgrade the legendary gauntlets for ARs that I use.
That right there is 3 weapons with the maximum attack stack in the game (300 attack) as well as almost the highest defense possible, the only thing that should be able to take you down with be lucky sniper headshots, rockets, supers, vex mythoclast or level 30s.
I'm very much looking forward to this, and I will very much will enjoy destroying level 20 - 27s hopes and dreams who even dare to engage.
