Anyone know how much more? I have the Pocket Infinity Fusion Rifle with this upgrade, and it seems like a lot. I noticed Dead Orbit is selling the Deviant Gravity-A, which also has the Surplus upgrade, and I'm wondering if it's worth buying. If I could run through PvE just alternating between the Pocket Infinity and the Deviant Gravity-A, barely having to touch my primary, that would be pretty fantastic.
(Also, an Exotic Fusion Rifle sounds pointless, but if you have the opportunity, get the Pocket Infinity. The things it does to enemies like Captains and Wizards have to be seen to be believed.)

Damnit. I just had the option to pursue the Pocket Infinity bounty, but chose against it because the bounty missions sounded like a pain in the ass, and I wasn't sure how good the weapon was. Oops.

gosh darn golly gee whizit. I just had the option to pursue the Pocket Infinity bounty, but chose against it because the bounty missions sounded like a pain in the ass, and I wasn't sure how good the weapon was. Oops. It was actually really easy for an exotic bounty. Getting the dead ghost took maybe 2 minutes. Do that story mission on heroic, no big deal. Dismantling 10 rare fusion rifles, just keep checking the gunsmith, when he has rare fusion rifles, purchase 10 and dismantle them. 200 fusion rifle kills in nightfall, just go solo, if you die and start over who cares, it doesn't take that long to do. |

It's impossible to know for sure because it may vary by element, gun, weapon type, and perhaps enemies killed too for all I know. I have the M60/The Swarm and it has the same upgrade and I find it productive but I'm not sure if I would get a weapon on the basis of that.

I just got my first exotic bounty and my choices were Pulse Rifle, Shotgun and Thorn... Not a single good one, but went with Thorn under the assumption Bungie moves ahead with the buff.
