I turned in my bounties and up popped exotic bounties and I was like Ooohhh Sweet! So uh... I didn't know it was pick one and just grabbed the easiest looking one thinking I could do it first. (Talk to my warlock leader...) So uh, did I screw up? The bounties didn't say what the rewards are so... *shrug*
Also I got my second blue boots engram and sure as shit they decoded to a mote of light. I'm tired of having green pants... arg...

Yeah each one has multiple tasks. The easiest looking one might end up having some harder parts later on. Should have looked them up, oh well maybe you'll get lucky and get to choose again.

Well... fuck off Destiny. I don't say that much. Generally I love this game and most of the problems people have with it don't bother me. But giving me a choice I didn't even know was a choice and deliberately obfuscating the consequences of that choice... how is that good game design? That's just BS. Oh well, fuck it. I'm sure if I missed some opportunity for something there's another way to get whatever it was... I guess.

You needed to do some crucible stuff (25 KD spread). A few simple tasks. The most annoying to me was the purchasing of 25 special ammo packs. If you have a lot of glimmer, this is no big deal. But at the time, ...I didn't have glimmer. So that became very grinding. |

I turned in some bounties which unlocked three exotic bounties at the bounty vender. What I didn't know was that it was a pick one of the three situation and I just arbitrarily grabbed one and was pretty disappointed when the other two vanished from before my eyes. Had I known I was picking ONE I would have looked them up, but instead of getting to make a choice I got suckered by the game.
I'm trying to figure out what I missed out on and how I can get them, because now that the game cheated me out of those exotic bounties I want them... even though I don't know what the rewards were or if I would have picked them, just because I feel like I got cheated out of them I have to get them anyway now or I won't be happy. ;3

You'll be able to get the ones you missed out on somewhere down the line. I've had 3 or 4 exotic bounties now, and at least one of those times the only choices left were the 2 that I didn't pick on the first go-round. There seem to be at least 2 or 3 different sets of 3 choices apiece.

Still more arg! I should have bought boots instead of gloves, why am I stupid!? I'm still using green boots because every blue boots engram I've ever gotten (another last night) decrypted into a mote of light instead of fecking boots... lord. If it's going to be rare for an engram to decrypt into an armor piece it shouldn't have that armor piece as the graphic, but well, Bungie's not great on this whole communicating information to the players thing. Oh well. At this rate I'm only a few marks from being able to purchase legendary boots so I'll go strait from green to purple from the looks of it. That'll probably get me to level 24 too. (Oddly the game told me when I logged in that VoG was now unlocked for me, though I'm still only level 23. I don't think I'll bother until 26 and I've done more story missions, though. I should probably grind out the rest of the story this weekend so I'm not hamstringing myself by refusing to play certain things. Now that I've got enough Vanguard rep to purchase armor I can lay off grinding the patrols/events/bounties a bit. Luckily I've done enough of that on the moon that I have so far had all the helium I've needed, we'll see if it holds out.

I do have to hit the crucible, though. I got my 5 deathless strikes. On my third I was curious about the water behind Sepiks Prime and wandered into it killing myself on my third strike. I was pissed, thinking I'd have to start over, but it turns out it didn't count against me. I guess since the strike was technically over it didn't matter. I've already got 13k glimmer too so just gotta grind Crucible and do my first heroic or nightfall strike and I'll have my first exotic weapon. ;3

Every time I see a MoL from blue engram I am excited. I need 23 to get ready for Xur's exotic engram sale, and solely rely on XP would be too slow. I have 15 right now, need 8 more before Saturday. Come on, Cryptarch, you can do it...

Yeah he might as well keep giving me motes as I only need 9 marks to get my boots now anyway and I can do that pretty quick. Hmm... Now I have to decide to do my Crucible grind for my exotic or get those 9 marks first. ;3 Prolly boots... I'll still have to do a heroic strike or nightfall for the exotic whereas if I get the marks I can get my boots immediately and start earning XP for them. I guess one more night of patrols for me.
