I had some stats from messing around in the VoG. But first a quick question. Vault of Glass normal is level 26. The Praetorians, Goblins and Harpy's on the first stage are level 26. This is the same for the Hard mode too (level 30). The question. Do the Praetorians and other enemies ramp up to level 27, 28 on Normal during the end stages? I never have taken notice of this. And do they also ramp up the same on Hard mode?
Here are some stats I found, with my Level 29 Warlock. Entry stage on the VoG
Praetorian - 5,100 hit points. 2,550 shield points, and 2,550 health points *NOTE(no head shot damage given on Praetorians) Goblins - 1,000 hit points Harpys - 1,000 hit points
Gun - Type - [Damage] RoF-Impact - RpM - Damage meter filled x/5 ----------------------------------------------------------------
Vision of Confl (Legendary Scout)[300] 37-59 178rpm 5/5............267/890 Crusader I (Legendary Scout) [248] 37-75 0/5............................227/679 *204 Praetorians MIDA Multi (Exotic Scout) [260] 42-39 0/5..................................208/623 *187 Praetorians
Shadow Price (Legend AR) [277] 77-28 430rpm 3/5....................112/278 Hex Castor AC (Legend AR) [277] 100-2 860rpm 3/5...................055/136 Suros Regime (Exotic AR) [260] 77-28 300rpm 0/5.....................141/353 *(Suros shoots 430 in non-ADS mode)
Steel Oracle Z11(Legend Launcher)[300] 5/5.................................3,700 ThunderLord (Exotic LMG)[260] 66-53 350rpm 0/5.......................242/605 *218 Praetorians
Hieracon LR5 (Rare Sniper) [213] 37/10 0/5................................488 *439 Praetorians IceBreaker (Exotic Sniper) [300] 19/26 5/5.................................1,284 *1,156 Praetorians
Grenade - Type 1 SunSinger ....................................................400d + 150 per 0.75 sec (anything in it's radius) Grenade - Type 3 Sunsinger.....................................................2,500 if stickied on enemy Hand Sun blast (fully charged/half charged)................................1,356 / 678
All the above damage tests were taken up close. Shooting at farther ranges will reduce the damage models up to 30% or so.

Enemies are definitely 28 during the Gatekeeper and Atheon phases. No idea about hard mode yet, but I'd assume they'd be 30 at that point, if not before. Praetorians and Minotaurs don't have a crit spot, that's why you're not seeing any bonus damage. This is true outside the VoG as well.

Here's a neat stat, that measures Time to Kill. How long to put down a Praetorian. At least for my gun and their loadouts.
Obviously, this assumes every bullet is a hit.
Leveled up guns make a huge difference.
10.9 sec - Two mags. MIDA Multi Tool (21b + 5b) bullets at 150 rpm *(1 sec to reload) 07.8 sec - Two mags. Suros Regime (33b + 4b) 37 bullets at 300 rpm *(1 sec to reload) 07.4 sec - Two mags. Shadow Price (25b + 21b) 46 bullets at 430 rpm *(1 sec to reload) 06.3 sec - One mag. Vision of Confluence (27b). 19 bullets to put down a Praetorian at 178 rpm. 03.8 sec - One mag. ThunderLord (38b) 22 bullets to kill at 350rpm. 03.7 sec - One mag. Icebreaker (6b) 5 bullets at 0.75 sec to shoot each.
I need to level up my Suros Regime. If I do, assuming a 5% bonus bump for each of the five damage level upgrades, I might be able to get my damage up to 170 (up from it's present 141 damage) If so, that makes the Praetorians a one clip kill. That makes the Suros TTK an even 6.0 seconds. THAT would be actual measurement for damage bonus upgrading. 1.8 second difference maker.
Seconds matter in the VoG. Just tossing this out there, I would say a person needs a TTK gun that is under 4.0 seconds for when the sh1t hits the fan. And a second primary main gun, that can at least do under 7.5 seconds. Preferably under 7.0 sec.
If you are taking longer than 8.0 seconds to kill them, you are probably Foxtroting up your assigned job in whatever section of the VoG you are in. Actually, one can probably split that. I would venture a guess it's more like 9.0 seconds on the first stage outside the gates, and more like 7.0 seconds in the Templar area, and 6.0 seconds in the Atheon stage. IF you want to know IF YOU ARE READY....there's your quick test. Can you take one of these level 26 entry level Praetorians down in those above times? Try it out.

I'll add to that: ~0.5 sec - 1 rocket, Truth and/or Steel Oracle Z-11 (void damage version). Rockets for the win!

I did some quick testing, I was not getting one hit kills. Around 3,500 to 4,000 damage. But I only tested it a few times. Perhaps I didnt' get a direct hit? Or do I have a non-void version?

I think he meant minotaurs... not praetorians. Minotaurs get OHKOed by a good number of fully upgraded void launchers (even the hard raids ones!)
Pretty sure I've seen a praetorian go down to a single Gjallarhorn tho...

Crap, just realized that was on regular minotaurs, not the praetorians. My bad. Now that I have Truth maxed out, I'm curious to see how it does against them. Will report back after we run Thursday.

Wish I had enough coins to buy it a few weeks ago when Xur had it.

Looking at the above numbers I did....I think that's the quick test to see if someone is ready to go, in terms of their equipment/gun levels equipped. Go solo into the VoG. Take on the first Praetorian by yourself. Test out your guns. See what their damage is. See what + numbers are popping up when you hit it. Then calculate out your TTK by on your gun's Rounds Per Minute. If your sniper and primary rifle can't match up with the time needed, you might be in trouble. 9.0 seconds on the first stage 7.5 seconds on the Templar stage 6.0 seconds in the Atheon stage. Those would be the TTK goals needed, to know if your guns are ready. Maybe Dumien can add to that, ...that's just a guess on my part. I think anything longer than the above times, taking longer to get the kill, you would be starting to blow your assignment.

So as long as you are level 28 plus.....the above damage examples I listed would hold. So for me, the damage I am doing on the level 26 Praetorians, would be the same as the level 28's. A level 26 person would be hurting at the end. Taking a 40% hit on their damage output. That would be adding significant chunks of time to their kill attempts. Almost doubling the time.

I have a fully upgraded void Unfriendly Giant, can I OSK Praetorian at level 27? I don't know. Go test it out. Go into the VoG solo. Equip it. Fire off a shot and then see what damage it did. If it kills the Praetorian, you know it's over 5,100 damage. Your 27 is > than 26 on that starting spot, so no damage nerfs will be taking effect. It's a clean test.
