Gambled with engram again. Yeap, you guessed it, it is for Hunter again (was hoping for a Warlock, and Titan would have been nice): Kucklehead Radar. I have tried 3 times, and got Hunter every time. I now have all 3 different helmets, 1 chest and 1 gauntlet for Hunter. Xur really wants me to get the full collection . Maybe I should buy the Lucky Raspeberry... Warlock piece is a disappointment, again. Should I pass, or bite the bullet and buy Voidfang Vestments? Already got the Titan piece from last week with better stat roll than this week's offering, pass. I already have 2 Patience & time, and the weapon is certainly not good enough to warrant having 3 copies. pass

- I was going to gamble with the engram thing, but I am like eight Motes of Light short. Not sure if I will find enough by tomorrow. Plus, I am 0-2 trying to get stuff this way. It always gives the wrong class.
- I went ahead and bought the Warlock chesty, 'Voidfang'. I concur, it does sort of suck. Handcannon bonus (blah), Axion Bolt Bonus (not really useful for Sunsinger class). The only decent part I suppose is the special weapon ammo carrying bonus. But if rolling with the Icebreaker, that's not needed. I bought it anyways, as I had like 80 special coins. Might as well use them. Also figure that at some point, having extra raid armor like this can be useful. I have close to 100 shards, so it's no big deal to level it up. Might come in handy as I think I might break down my Titan class, and make a 3rd Warlock. Doubling my odds hasn't been working with the VoG lottery wheel.
- Is the Patience and Time worth buying?

Voidfang Vestments also gives you grenade energy at spawn, so it works well in PvP for both subclasses (Sunsinger gives you 2 grenades while Voidwalker has the Axion Bolt. Since I am getting into PvP soon (due to Iron Banner), and I am planning to eventually get every exotic piece, I am buying this despite the fact that I already have a Raid chest (nice to have a backup anyway). I am not a big fan of Patience & Time when compared with Ice Breaker, but it is definitely a solid Sniper Rifle. Very stable, so you can hit the same spot repeatedly very easily. It also has arc damage which complements Ice Breaker. If you have a lot of coins, it is a solid buy. What do bros feel about Lucky Raspberry? Plan to buy this since there are nothing else I need to spend my coins on. I might as well get this out of the way towards my full Hunter collection. EDIT: Luck Raspberry looks like the best chest for Hunter: more heavy ammo, spawn with grenade energy + arcbot grenade buff, and more FR ammo (great to go with my Plan-C). This one also has great stats roll: 140 Intellect. I am buying it. Earned 27 coins from weekly, only spent 26. I am getting richer on coins

Arcbolt buff is ok. Fusion rifle ammo is nice if you use fusion rifles a lot. It's not a must-buy piece, but it's worth having if you've got coins to spare.

RNG really wants me to play as Hunter...

Is the Patience and Time actually better than an arc Epitaph?

That is disappointing... If I get my 13 coins this week I may go ahead and buy voidfang just to get my ass in the game, but maybe not. I don't have a massive stock of shards so I should probably save them for a more PvE friendly exotic armor for raiding with. Clearly I need to be getting as many coins as I can, however. Hell, maybe I should even save them for a weapon or go double down on Vanguard rep so I can hit rank 3. I'm underpowered there so I don't think I'm going to ask any bros to carry me through a raid or nightfall until I have better weapons and level 28.
On the other hand I do need to do some crucible for my exotic bounty which I REALLY want to finish to free up the bounty slot. (The exotic shotgun would be nice too.)

Voidfang is terrible for PvE, but as witty mentioned, great for PvP - I'm not 100%, but it seems like you always spawn with a grenade.

In terms of it's bonuses are better geared towards PvE? (like you said?) All in all, it's still going to a person to 30 pieces of light, as well as 439 defense points? That is the main point of the exotic gear isn't it? Allowing one to get to 30 pieces of light and the defense points. What does a good piece of exotic Warlock chest gear do?

2/3 different exotics are not a bad buy, even if you only play PvE. You never know what legendary armour the vault might give you...

Well I had planned on buying the Patience and Time whenever it showed up, but since I got it for free in last night's raid, I'll be saving my coins. Lucky me!

Is the Patience and Time actually better than an arc Epitaph? P&T has radar and invisibility (doesn't work in PvE), and really fantastic stability. I'd say the stability is the real selling point, but whether that matters or not is up to the individual.

One thing that I have been hypothesizing is that this weapon might be a fantastic option for 2 body shot kill play style in PvP. Haven't had a chance to try it yet.

Also to note: the invisibility takes a moment or two to kick in, and lasts a short amount of time (5 seconds maybe?). And, of course, it only works in PvP (but you'll still see the red glare of the targeting laser or whatever it is).

Datto's take:
Note that the stats roll on Titan's chest is even higher than last week, which makes it the best version yet.
He also made the similar argument for P&T as a good SR in PvP.

1) Fusion Rifle reserve ammo increased 2) Heavy weapon reserve ammo increased 3) Cooldowns further reduced when using Radiance
My guess is that #3 is the main attraction, making it a great armor for both player himself and his teammates. If the armor piece has a high stats roll on Intellect, that would the most ideal.

Question - I got the sparrow from the raid. Do the special drives that Xur sells work on this?

Bleh double post.
NO dont listen to Datto, seriously misinformed and makes horrible suggestions. i would say he is the drift0r/levelcap of destiny but that would be insulting both of them.
Voidfang is probably the best piece for warlocks, considering that grenades are the most important aspect of using a warlock. and it works for both subclasses.

This is basically the armamentarium for warlocks... and warlocks aready carry two grenades

neither of the armor pieces seems reason enough to buy.... (I got Titan chest last week) and the weapon... I may get the weapon actually.

Voidfang is probably the best piece for warlocks, considering that grenades are the most important aspect of using a warlock. and it works for both subclasses. the buff on the Voidfang specifically says - Increases amount of Hand Cannon ammo - Increase the amount of Special Weapon Ammo you can carry - Your axion bolt grenade spawns an additional seeker. Respawn with full grenade energy. That's pretty specific. The sunsinger class would seem to not benefit by the third buff. Axion bolt is just VoidWalker class. Unless they mean the second half of that buff, applies to both classes? But if so, what does that mean? Respawn? Don't your grenade charges fill up after death anyways?
