I want them to stop drawing Lapis uglier every episode.
I guess. Lapis has always been drawn inconsistently- just go back to Mirror Gem Part 1. When zoomed out her nose points upwards a lot more, but zoomed in it's normal. It's hard to compare her to Season 3 Lapis because she's probably zoomed really far in as well. Season 4 has plenty of those derp frames though, MLP rarely skips on that sort of thing.
Skin colour is weird too- jumping from pale blue to cyan seems weird. Anyone who works photo-editing at all knows those aren't the same hue. Even if the setting has more light and it doesn't change- it doesn't mean the hue has to shift as well.

All the characters have been off model throughout the entire series. Rebecca Sugar is a huge fan of John Kricfalusi, creator of Ren and Stimpy and notorious off model advocate. She was actually featured on his blog twice while she was still a student. So the show naturally works off model constantly, and each storyboarder has their own unique style that is clearly evident throughout the series.
Letting them know only they see my illusion would be the nice thing to do. Nice. But...no.

Partially right. They keep changing Korean animation companies so the art style changes depending on episode. It's a lot different from Ren and Stimpy. I mean Ren isn't 6 feet tall in one episode and then 3 feet in the next a la SU. When Ren and Stimpy go off model it's to convey exaggerated emotions and to add movement to their actions. It's due to outsourcing in SU (As well as story boarders).
I suppose she has. Peridot's transition from "this planet is ripe for colonizing hail hydra" to "Peridot Lapis BFFs forever we'll all good friends yay" seems a bit rushed. Then again I still enjoy it, her, and I might internally be comparing it to Zuko in Avatar:TLA.
