Borderlands is not an MMO... Neither is Destiny. I don't see any MMO features in Destiny that's not in Borderlands. I mean Borderlands has four players top per combat area, Destiny has six. Yet, World of Warcraft probably has 40 or so participants in their Raids.

That much is fair. Destiny really is not an MMO. I'd argue that it is slightly closer to one than Borderlands, but only a hair's breadth really when you look at the features. The community seems a lot closer as far as I can tell, though. People play Destiny the way that people play MMO's. I never got involved in any Borderlands community stuff. As far as I was concerned community was irrelevant for Borderlands. There was no in game socializing and I only played it with my girlfriend. Basically it was a single player campaign played in co-op.
That's not to say Destiny is better, just different. For that matter Borderlands did a MUCH better job at having a campaign worth playing and enjoying with some actual story to it. Destiny quickly just becomes all about the loot to the extent that it took me months to actually "beat" the single player campaign, and technically I did the last parts all out of order due to picking them up on dailies and weeklies. (Honestly I think missions you haven't unlocked shouldn't be playable as weeklies and dailies until you've unlocked them in the campaign. I would have beat the game much earlier... if I'd had to. And probably understood the chronology better.)
Borderlands also did a much MUCH MMMMUUUUCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHH!!!1 better job at giving us value for our $ in the DLC's. Destiny DLC's are pathetic vs the price.

Borderlands also did a much MUCH MMMMUUUUCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHH!!!1 better job at giving us value for our $ in the DLC's. Destiny DLC's are pathetic vs the price. If only I was that Eurogamer 'journalist' who gave the interview over the pricing, since Luke Smith reckons we are getting value. I'd argue that Bungie doesn't have to give as good value as Gearbox did with Borderlands because of how the DLC is handled, e.g. no alternative given when a lockout occurs on the daily and weekly stuff. I think also the enforced level cap increases kind of gets the players to keep going whereas optional ones, like in Borderlands, just segregates players so the ability to play with each other and trade gear becomes an issue. Speaking of the story, it kind of helped that the bosses in Borderlands have character and not all of them are epic bullet sponges. I mean Commandant Steele doesn't have a huge health pool for a boss but she's tough to play against because of her speed and attack patterns. And then you have Handsome Jack for character and actual mechanics in dealing with him. You kill off Jack's personal Surveyors that connect to him to deal better damage against him. Same thing happens with Skolas but somehow something this 'sophisticated' is not available to matchmade activities. I think Bungie could have made the story something substantial if we could team up with the Cabal and the House of Kings, there's even the transcript from Dinklebot and Petra Venj to suggest it's not unfeasible. Also if there were anti-heroes, even the Guardians, that would add to the story instead of this superhero saves the day mentality. It worked for Borderlands - all of the playable characters had an anti-hero element to them with perhaps the exception of Maya.

So I joined xboxdvr.com today and it appears I can actually show you my game clips directly. So, remember I mentioned about being in a game of cheaters? Below is the game where it happened. It's a bit long because dubious activity preceded the obvious events, which made me think others were cheating. xboxdvr.com/gamer/EnglandsDimebag/video/7003413

Not yet, I looked at their website and there was no way to submit video footage so I will email them soon. I could add them as a friend then report them. It's stupid because I gave the cheaters the benefit of the doubt until the cloaked Titan soaked up my Golden Gun shots, a throwing knife that landed on his head and stuck etc.

Slacked off a bit (MiL's 59th and mom's 65th birthdays this weekend) but got gjallie #2 to the last 3 circles. It's gonna be fun to actually use the monday bounties on a monday, instead of saving them for the Tuesday nightfalls like I've done for the last 6 months-ish.
One other accomplishment last night: I solo'd the nightfall for the first time. And I didn't even use gjallie #2 that much... Just a lot of careful movements and stun locking the Priest with the Black Hammer. Granted; this week was pretty easy to solo, it's still something that I've never done before.

Trials may be good to run next week as the pulse rifle and boots are scheduled to be sold next week. I might try and get Sherpa'd to the Lighthouse because my last decent run in Trials dates way back to the 9th of June it seems when the machine gun and helmet were on sale when Cauldron was the map in rotation. Will the Messenger be good after the weapon patch? Would be nice to not use an exotic primary really.

However, if you're fortunate enough to have a Hopscotch Pilgrim, rolling that for the same perks (Third Eye and Headseeker) with Braced Frame gives you an even better weapon.

I have no idea how much of a demand there are for Lighthouse sherpas on Reddit but I'll try and get the streamer I sometimes watch since I can rely on him and his usual teammate to snipe while I shotgun Trials may be good to run next week as the pulse rifle and boots are scheduled to be sold next week. Yeah I'm just wondering whether to spam Dragon Strikes or not. I've got heavy ammo to burn so I guess I should. I've been playing Bladedancer more often than a Gunslinger these days and denying heavy in Skirmish is pretty amusing. Got to make use of Lucky Raspberry and spam Blink because it appears to grant its user invincibility frames. Just need to remember to swap to PvE class setup during PoE because I forgot last time and it basically caused a wipe.

wings Unless the quality of opponents is significantly higher than it is on PS4, you should be able to get to the Lighthouse with two players roughly at your skill level. I looked at your stats, and you're probably a better player than I am. When I get together with two other guys with a K/D in the 1.25 - 1.75 range, I don't expect to lose very much - I'm currently on a 26 game winning streak. You don't need to have any crucible gods, so long as you don't have any liabilities/dead weight.

I think wings' problem is not so much about skill, but the difficulty to find 2 friends at similar skill level to play together.

You don't need to have any crucible gods, so long as you don't have any liabilities/dead weight. I'm probably more rusty the past few weeks as I don't play much PvP due to work-related RSI and I've never had regular runs in the past so I relied on the100.io for teammates, which has usually turned out bad because the first time we lose they rage quit, or their confidence is knocked to shit because an opponent is teabagging obnoxiously. I've seen some people on my friends list get to the Lighthouse whose stats appear to be worse than mine but Trials is a different ball game I guess. Now if Elimination was made a permanent playlist I'd be much happier. It might be worth going for Adept weapons when TTK drops because I guess the current ones will be too weak for TTK content. A void Scholar would be nice for year 1 content, and a solar Scholar for year 2 judging by the solar attacks the Taken do may be. If I can learn from Sherpas I'll pickup the people on my friends list to hopefully return the favour.

TheHawkNY is on a 26 game win streak for 1 reason and only 1 reason: He's stopped asking me if I want to do any PVP Hopped on with Dave last night, it immediately ended. He would have been able to get the armor, but I "went to orbit too quickly" and he didn't buy the boon to start with a win.

Well, add the Invective to the list of blueprints I'm bringing to TTK.
And it only took 3 games too!
And I got my Thorn bounty from 6 to 103 in 6 or so games too.

And once I kill that wizard... add the thorn to the blueprint list!
Wife went to bed early last night so I had no netflix to destroy my bandwidth, and I had some very decent games and I went positive probably 3 out of 4 games for my whole PVP session. In fact, my first 4 games took me super quick to 300 (then I lost that lobby and had a rough game or two, but whatevz)
Except for that Something Blue Map... fuck that shit... horrible map.I sucked ass every time that one came up

In that case, congrats! Somebody help him with the special edition strike so he can start using Thorn in PvP BTW, what Mayhem plays like: (Before that is a 5v5 best of 7 exhibition of the new game mode Rift)

Thanks!
Now the same question as HoW:
Do I redeem it now and level it, or redeem it after TTK so it's buffed to the new attack levels?

Thanks! Now the same question as HoW: Do I redeem it now and level it, or redeem it after TTK so it's buffed to the new attack levels? You mean thorn? That question depends on how much PvP you plan to play in the next 3 weeks, to see Thorn's awesomeness before it gets nerfed. If not so much, you can wait which will give you the intrinsic perk without any grinding.

That's the only way to get this special edition strike. Also, get a friend to help you because Xyor is a pain in the ass to deal with solo.
