Just as long as we don't get effed up by that modifier that doesn't drop the ammo for the weapon you're using, we should be okay at least for the weekly.
Or we just sit and wait for the magic ammo fairy to give us more....

Yeah juggler is literally worse than Hitler... Hope it's not active.
Don't think we can sit and wait with that respawning minotaur. I have a few heavy and special ammo packs just in case, though.
Have you worked on Sunsinger any? If your Voidwalker is maxed out you really should. Sunsinger is very handy for these things, especially with solar burn, but mostly for double grenades and fireborn. I've nearly got voidwalker maxed out too I think.

Nightfall has a bunch though. But it looks like we got lucky.
Epic Lightswitch Angry Solar Burn Nightfall
No Juggler. We should still do the weekly first for the practice and to gauge the difficulty, but mebbe we can handle Nightfall too.

Seriously, we need to meed up tomorrow and knock this shit out. I had a poke at the weekly and some random invited me so I ran it with him. I think he was only doing it at level 26 because that's the level he was and he wasn't completely worthless. Though I did have to revive him a few times. He was a bit rambo gungho. Mostly it was easy too. I only had to pop Radiance once when I got cocky and let a servitor pummel me. It was kind of a power trip. Hell my fully upgraded TDyK was putting down goblins in one hit. The minotaur that spawned behind us... didn't have a fecking chance. Between grenades and solar fusion rifle I had no problem soloing that minotaur while mr random guy pinged at the Nexus. Between minotaurs I would run up and put a mag of hand cannon ammo into it, then go back and take out the next minotaur.
We should be able to handle level 28 without a problem. Nightfall could be harder, but I think we can do that too. We should go for it. I think one of us should pack solar sniper rifle and the other fusion rifle. FR is on minotaur duty, and SR puts Nexus down.
We got this. Our weapons are SOOOO much better than they were before. lol

When the attack from Lizard Squad finally let up I managed to get on with my RL bro and play my hunter with him a while. We both hit 20 and I have an exotic helmet that I bought from Xur so my hunter is 21 now. We also did the daily with a friend who's level 30. Hoping my RL bro will have more time to play, could be a lot of fun having him around. My Warlock still needs to do the Weekly if possible. Might want those coins this weekend. ;3
I also tried to explain the intricacies of post level 20 progress to my brother, but he seemed distracted. It's a lot to absorb all at once.

I also tried to explain the intricacies of post level 20 progress to my brother, but he seemed distracted. It's a lot to absorb all at once. There are no intricacies. Light = money That's how you explain it: everyone wants money. Everyone wants a job that will give them the most amount of money in life. Everyone wants to keep/spend/whatever money. So in destiny, you want the most amount of light. Get the armour with the most amount of light. Forget every other stat; they are now irrelevant to you. Light. You want as much light as possible. Forget upgrade options, forget strength, forget discipline, forget everything else. Just like Biggie taught us to, "F%%k b%tches, get money"... Destiny after level 20 is "F$$k stats, get light" How to advance past level 20: 1. Wear armour 2. Get new armour 3. Press L2 to compare the two 4. a: if the new armour's light stats are better than your current armour, wear the new and get rid of the old b: if the new armour's light stats are worse than your current armour, break it down and keep the old. Light.

I should also clarify that my kids are still sick. They're getting better, and my boy's stomach flu is all but gone, but he has a wicked cough and when he gets congested and starts coughing when he's asleep, he might start choking or gasping for air. So if I have to go AFK all of a sudden, I just will. I will letcha know... but if I die, I die... just keep on killing and don't res me. It'll be me and my wife, so I won't be gone for like hours... but I might have to go afk for 10/15.

Okay, game on. If we get stuck I might have to bail, but honestly I think we can knock out the weekly strike pretty fast and if we still have time even take a crack at the Nightfall or Daily.

So... what did Marko do last night?
We took a trip down memory lane kids... and what a trip it was.
See kids, one of the first strikes I ever did was the Venus strike taking down that big ass ol' shielded floating hydra thing. And it didn't go well. Mannon had to res me about 45ish times, I had no elemental damage to use, my weapons sucked, my armour sucked, and it was a 2 hour ordeal that we wiped on a bunch of times. It was a pain in the ass, particularly the juggler aspect that prevented ammo drops. And this was on level 24 or 26. This week, it was the return to that same raid. But this time, Marko grew up. Marko had better weapons that were maxed out. Marko had armour that wsa 3/4's maxed out. Marko had 5 different weapon types with each type of elemental damage. Oh, and no juggler. This time, it was level 28 which had me worried a bit.
And kids... it was like night and day. The Shadow Price was dropping vex left right and centre... the DYK was 1 shotting bastards from miles away. 27 minutes, 0 deaths, 9 coins, 3/4/5 AMats after engrams were decripted. Barely had to use any solar weapons... the teleporting minotaurs were dropped very quickly and efficiently. It felt damn good. I could really notice my skills this time around. I could really notice the value of the maxed weapons. It felt like I put on my big boy boots and kicked some ass.
Oh, Manon and I also took the daily out on level 24... we debated 30, but Mannon didn't have time in case we wiped, so we took the safe bet... I think it took us.... hmmmm.... 5 minutes. We just $hit kicked everything.
Bring on the Dark Below! I'm effin' pumped to kick more a$$

Yes that was both of our first weekly strike, and it was a doooosy. I believe that I had just barely managed to solo it at level 24 difficulty dropping down and hanging out in a nook, though I still had to defend myself from adds. Then with Marko we ran it at 26 thinking it would only be a little harder... it was a LOT harder. Dropping down didn't work for us. I stuck with my nook, but Marko had a hard time finding shelter. After a few wipes we tried staying in the cave. The minotaur that spawns behind us was really tough to bring down with anything but my void MG, but ammo was limited. We had a few wipes up there as well until we got the hang of it. That was tough, dark days, but it was epic and fun.
This time around with my maxed out Voidfang Vestiments, level 28, Maxed out TDyK, and and legendary solar fusion rifle and rocket launcher... oh yeah, it was very different! Gawd I love this handgun, by the way! Blam blam blam and vex goblins go down almost always in 1 hit! I did get a little cocky here and there and managed to die, but not much and we were never really in danger of wiping. Even when I did revive myself I probably didn't strictly have to. Marko could have handled it, he had good cover and weapons, but he would have had to pick off a number of enemies one at a time and still be wary of the captain so I used my super to save us time since it would also let me throw down a carpet of grenades. The minotaur behind us was never really a threat this time. A grenade and some fushion shots easily did most of the work. More than anything I was glad for the ammo. ;3
And then the daily... oh lord we raked 'em hard. We should have just gone for level 30. lol It was one of the shortest story missions in the game too, and though I'm a little wary of doing something at level 30 difficulty I think we could have hacked it. High level Thrall might have been a threat, but I'm sure we would have sorted it out. It did get me another badly needed shard so now I'm only 6 shards from maxing out my IB boots... (Of course I'll also be able to buy even better boots strait off a vendor now...)
Anyway, good times, good fun. If I didn't have to go we would have probably tried the Nightfall too. Looks like I better get started on unlocking the new content now, though. I really need to do the new weekly before the weekend. Xur demands it! In the end... aren't we all just servants of the Nine?

Finished first two missions for Eris and a bounty along with a few other bounties. Fun stuff! I also hit Vanguard rank 5 and got a commendation, but no legendary items. Oh yeah and I got the bounty for Bad Juju. I need to finish this stuff for Eris so I can unlock the weekly and nightfall strikes. Really want to hit those.
I have the marks and commendation to buy any 1 piece of new legendary armor I want, but holding off for Xur. Need some more coins so definitely need to knock out that weekly. I'm only a few shards short on my IB pants but I think I may hold off on that too for now.

What did Polo do last night?
Kids... it was all about the light.
I had... 180ish VM to spend, thinking I would walk out of the Vanguard Quartermaster with a shiny new weapon. I have to say, I wasn't impressed. Especially with the autorifles... nothing but quick shooting peashooters were there. I almost bought the Devil You Don't for name alone. Anywho... the cost/benefit analysis wasn't singing to me.
So I went to see the Vanguard Master to see what armour I could buy... and booyah! Picked up a nice pair of boots and a nice chest piece and with barely any effort (but with some stored up bounties though) I was able to level them up to 29 super quick. I found it funny that I needed an commendation for the first piece of armour, but not the 2nd.... but I'm not complaining. (EDIT: because some need commendation and some don't)
so... I was just about to call it a night, when I did one more bounty for fun. I was about to get lazy and not cash it in, but I had a few banners to cash in, so I did it anyways...
So glad I did.... 200 olympus tears (or whatever they're called) from mars got me my VGrep... and an exotic bounty! And I was smart this time, I took the machine gun one that requires no crucible/pvp bs! Just gotta go to Xur, spend a coin, and kill 500 enemies with it (less with headshot kills) and booyah! A new exotic weapon!
No Eris stuff... Mannon, if you don't mind doing the first 2 missions again, I'd enjoy the company.

They were fun and would go fast with two of us. I did the first on level 28 and the next just on level 25 because I didn't think I could solo level 30 and it was getting late. But with our powers combined!
I've got some 165 or so marks so far most from previous weeks and a commendation so I'm just waiting on Xur to show up before buying me some shiny new armor.

Hmm. Looks like there are a couple of ways I could get to level 30 pretty easily. In fact if I just bought either a helmet or gloves to replace one of my normal legendary armor pieces I could do it by merely fully upgrading all my armor. Or I could replace pretty much any 2.
I'll wait on Xur to see what exotics he offers and whether or not he will upgrade my voidfang. It's not the best PvE armor, but it's the only exotic armor I have. But I could get lucky and him have a helmet or something cool instead.
Of course to hit 31 I'll have to replace everything including my hard won IB boots. I'm not happy about that. I've only had them for a little while and not even managed to gain any real benefit from them vs my other legendary boots, but whatever.
Speaking of which... I still want to hit the new IB pretty hard when it opens up next week. Maybe I'll get to level 31 quicker than I think.

BTW, During two different public events a sword carrying knight sauntered up and politely supplied me with a relic. It was far more useful for the eleminate target event where I wailed on a Fallen Captain with it then finished off the remaining Hive. For the Warsat it was fun, but having to stay in the circle kept me out of range of most of the enemies while some other guardians shot them. Of course once it was done I destroyed about 3 waves before they dropped via rockets and pumped us up to harder waves. The last wave survived the rocket because I got it off a bit late and those shards tend to move out away from the ship, but TDYK took care of them.
Good times. I really like how the addition of these blade spawns results in a more dynamic battlefield with Hive and Fallen periodically fighting each other all over the Cosmodrome. It's not as epic as the Skywatch war, but it is cool and seems more dynamic than the strict front lines they have drawn in Rocketyard.

BTW if there's a Fusion Rifle 20 multikill bounty pick it up. The second mission "Siege of the Warmind" has a great spot for it. In fact if the mission is repeatable I have a new place for grinding that bounty! I only had to die to checkpoint twice, and pretty much only that many times because I wasn't even going for it the first time and kinda screwed it up the second. I'm hoping it's repeatable. Besides, I like the mission and new area. Looking forward to running it with you.

I saw a video on Reddit of someone going toe to toe with a captain by ducking under his melee. Not sure it'd work with a relic, but could be worth a shot. I just stuck mostly to the faster attack and stunlocked him then when he backed away I jumped up and did the heavy attack smash. Good times.
Part of me still wants melee weapons to really be a thing in Destiny. heh This third person hacky slashy stuff is kinda fun, but needs variety.

Lots of easy bounties to be taken care of yesterday.... did 9 out of ten. Did some events and got some AM. Leveled my new VG Eq to max, without the shards and got the gauntlets I needed... that's all 3 vg eq replaced and ready to be maxed. Now I just have to wait for Xur and update my exotic helm
Did the first Crota level, did it quite easily although it was weird. Dunno why... maybe it was starting a level I know so well but from a different place? Then I did the 2nd one, got past the thralls to the wizards... and kept getting my ass kicked. So I just quit it.... it was pissing me off. The wizards just kept nuking me and I was just getting more annoyed. I'll restart it tonight or tomorrow so I can get those waves of thralls for the fusion rifle bounty.

mhmm... Delicious thrall spawns huh? I sure hope this one is repeatable for fusion bounties. Hopefully I can run it with you tonight. I had no playtime last night. I basically ran back up to the platform next to the doors where you come in. My original plan was to take out the wizard inside, but the doors close. However it did wind up being a pretty good defensive position where enemies below couldn't shoot at me and there are some pillars to block wizards. But I also only ran it on level 25. I haven't tried it on 30 yet.
