None of the armor offerings are particularly attractive. I picked up Sunbreakers as I need a warlock piece.
Truth is a solid weapon to buy.

Sunbreakers again? Isn't this their fifth time they have been on offer?

LOL Sunbreakers. GG Bungie, GG. I guess I'm getting a sparrow drive because I don't need anything else and I'm sitting on like 80 coins. Scout rifle telemetry also to speed up leveling my new Vision of Confluence from last night's raid.

I have the Truth. In a few comparison situations against my fully leveled up OracleZ11 (legendary), the Truth seemed to deliver more damage. It packs a very big shot.
Vision is a great gun Heb. One of the best legendary scouts imho.
Question. I have two level 29 Warlocks. Both need Raid equivalent gauntlets for the lv30 completion. One has an exotic Helmet (max) and the other has Exotic Chest (maxed) Would it make sense to buy two Exotic gauntlets? Level them up? That would open up more combinations to reach lv 30? I have close to 100 coins.

Won't lie to you.... I'm underwhelmed. I think I'll save up for next week when he's selling Suros Regieme and the ice Breaker

That way you should be set for 30 if you get the raid helmet, gauntlets, or chest to drop, right? The more combinations available the better!

Get them. With legendary helmet and pants and exotic gloves all you need is XP and shards to get to level 28 and then you can run weekly at level 28 and get 9 coins per week guaranteed, plus run daily on level 28, plus start doing nightfall, plus you can start hitting the raid. You can always get another exotic later, but I think getting to level 28 has to be our primary goal at the moment. Same reason I went ahead and bought Voidfang. Sure I'm hoping for a nice helmet from the engram, but even if I don't get it I have a backup plan for hitting level 28 that doesn't rely on luck. If I get any play time next week I should be able to hit 27 easily enough and maybe even 28 if I get a legendary helmet and enough XP to upgrade it and my Voidfang. (Might actually take longer if I get exotic helmet because I'll need more XP. Voidfang has only one upgrade left before needing shards, but a helmet will have to start dry. Then again if I grind bounties and the daily that's quite a lot of XP.)
I'd say a week or two and we could be doing nightfalls if not raids together.
(Keep your legendary gear in case you get a different exotic, though.)

I wouldn't be dependent on Raid gloves doing this. Trying to think through the combos makes my head hurt though. I think this doubles my odds. Getting raid gloves OR a helmet gets me '30', doing this move. Agree with your other point. I guess even if it doesn't work out, getting new coins is easy. I easily get 27 new coins a week, bare minimum. Trying to think of reasons not to do it, but I suppose it's the way to go.

1) Unless you plan to keep 2+ Warlock characters forever, I don't see the need of getting 2 Sunbreakers.
2) Having different pieces of exotics just make level 30 a tad bit easier:
Facts:
a) You need 3 pieces of raid gear and 1 exotic to get to level 30; b) There are no exotic boots; c) Only hard raid can drop raid helmet;
In other words:
to reach level 30 a player must get
i) Raid boots; ii) One exotic of helmet/gauntlet/chest, preferably helmet (so this week's helmet engram is significant); iii) Raid gear for the last 2;
The more different pieces of exotic you have, the easier it makes for iii). As a result, I am a big fan of exotic armors and by extension coins.
My current situation:
Hunter: raid boots, 3 exotic helmets, 2 exotic chests, 1 exotic gauntlet; Warlock: raid boots & chest, 1 exotic chest, 1 exotic gauntlet; Titan: raid gauntlet, 1 exotic chest;
As you can see: my Hunter has the best odds. All he needs is any 2 drops of helm/gloves/chest. Warlock needs raid helmet the most, it can also get exotic helmet and wait for raid gauntlet. Titan is in worst position, without helmet and boots.

Datto's take:
"Mask of the Third Man" is a good buy if you are playing PvP with hunter. It has good stats roll: 103 Intellect. In comparison: I have one from Nightfall, which only has 86 Intellect.
