Have you gotten the ARX Steel Bite or Hole Puncher yet? I'm curious as to how people think they compare (ARX vs IMR, the good variants) The only difference between the two is that the Steel Bite trades a slower fire rate for higher penetration. Based on that, I would say the Hole Puncher is far superior. IMR impact > ARX Hole puncher > IMR boar strike >ARX Steel Bite > Base imr > Base arx imo

I agree with all that except for the first two. ARX Hole Puncher has a much longer 3 hit kill range.

Based on that, I would say the Hole Puncher is far superior. I mean for people who have used the IMR and ARX, good variants, which is preferred. (Arx or imr) I'd definitely agree base IMR > base ARX.

Added all the missing info for the AE4 variants, thanks to this imgur album: imgur.com/a/GRnFDSupernova looks like my favorite. Vortex gets a free red dot sight, with no penalty at all, so that's pretty cool too if you aren't a fan of the iron sights.

I wonder how he got those screenshots.
Side note: Every AE4 looks awesome, especially the Void. Wonder how they look in game.

that's a typo with the arx gosh darn golly gee whization range... right? NoYes Thought you said IMR for some reason. Reading is hard when you're a birch tree. Especially when word filters get in the way.

The BAL: Obsidian Steed seems to outclass all of the fully-automatic assault rifles.

Nice find! I guess that makes this the best PDW variant.

Still doesn't make the PDW any good at all, but if you are going for the camo challenges on it, that would be the variant to use! Fixed it on the chart, thanks for the find

Finished the 300 kill grind earlier, and surprisingly, I think it was worth it. Compared to the Elite variant I was using (Crusher), I get better medium range damage, 6hk minimum instead of 7hk, 30% better hipfire (as I'm only interested in using them akimbo, this is an enormous advatage), and I still get to keep the upgraded RoF!
It doesn't make the PDW "good", but it certainly gives it a niche. Previously, if I wanted to akimbo, I would run the SAC3's for the same price, but would inevitably end up spending more on attachments. The PDW Condensed forces me to spend less, allowing some grenades or whatevers.
I'd say as long as you can keep enemy encounters to one at a time, the PDW Condensed akimbo is the most lethal option for shielders. If we could just get a swap time buff (which all pistols need), it might actually be "good".

Sure, for a 2pt cost, overall a naked KF5 is probably a better choice. For a single close range enemy, 1800rpm>750rpm.
KF5 is great with shield, I have another shield class with the Genuine with laser and rapid fire, good for fastswap-and-spray, and also gives the option to engage at longer distances. I also have a class with AMR9 Hipshot (faster RoF and ADS), laser, grip, and launcher. This gives me the option to fastswap-and-spray, fastplant and "snipe" (AMR9 works well with fastplant due to the raise time, for some unknown reason Fast Hands doesn't affect raise time after planting the shield in this game), or some midair DC toobin, which is INCREDIBLY fun and satisfying in this game.
ETA: didn't Fast Hands improve your weapon raise time after shield planting in BO2? I wonder if this is a glitch that somehow was overlooked?

As a secondary I'd probably take a PDW with Akimbo over an overkill KF5. Those Akimbo PDWs seriously feel like mini SAC3s, to be honest. The only problem is not having enough ammo.

It looks like the SAC3 "Crime & Punishment" has a typo in the spreadsheet linked above. It should have -10% viewkick.

The professional AE4 variant "Vortex" has -1 Range. Integrated Red dot sight.

Typo: the spreadsheet indicates IMR Pillager/Feedback long range 87.04
Also, what's the exact number of shots that the AE4 variants can fire before overheating?

Typo: the spreadsheet indicates IMR Pillager/Feedback long range 87.04 Also, what's the exact number of shots that the AE4 variants can fire before overheating? This isnt a typo. So it is normal for the long range value to be lower than the close range value, right? Lol

So it is normal for the long range value to be lower than the close range value, right? Lol After 200 units (5m so close range) it goes to its minimum damage so 5 shots to kill. So basically those 2 variants are crap
