So apparently there's a patch out for last gen that's nerfed the BAL. We all knew it was coming. Much vertical recoil was added. What wasn't expected was the huge buff to the EM-1, of all things. People are saying this thing just melts people now. Supposedly the SMG's that aren't the KF5 got a buff as well, but haven't seen enough to judge whether or not that's true. So brush up on your EM-1 skills and prepare for the laserfest.

The EM1 is fun to use now as a troll weapon, but the movement speed still makes it a poopy SMG.

EM-1 used to take 20 shots, now it takes 13. Bal-27 has an overkill of vertical recoil. As for other buffs, I'm unaware of anything else besides those two.

Reddit is only reporting a Bal recoil nerf and a EM damage buff.
...but they also swear by SBMM so I was taking everything with a grain of salt.

Xmgs also got a huge buff. Used to take 6 hits hip fire now only takes 3-4 (2-3 with headshots) and lockdown mode is now really accurate with zero recoil.

They probably nerfed the S-12 just to be on the safe side.

S12 is a 10 hit kill at range. This makes it impossible to obtain a kill with the default magazine. However, extended mags increases mag size to 12, making a kill still possible. As a result, the S12's damage has been reduced to a 15 hit kill.

itd kinda hard to get solid info when we didnt exactly have numbers beforehand to work with. It's harder yet when SHG doesn't even mention they're balancing weapons. The EM1 is fun to use now as a troll weapon, but the movement speed still makes it a poopy SMG. I just use Foregrip and then use Gung-Ho, Lightweight and Fast Hands to make up for that, but seriously the EM1 now allows easy mode tactical loitering, I love it. Got a 20 killstreak sitting on the roof of Riot.

BTK is easy enough to determine using the firing range. It's really too bad that lane 8 doesn't have some sort of kill feedback. With the set-able range it has already that would really make things easy.

Doesn't matter either way, it's still 13 BTK at the furthest targets in the Firing Range. Basically if it has damage drop off it's beyond 25 meters

They need to fire negative amounts of pellets. Every time you fire it locks up the game and you have to reset.

Got the patch for X1 this morning. Bal has been nerfed? Sort of. Recoil seems the same but now it''s now the range is reduced. Previously at the range in the clip it was BTK-1. To get the 3HK (vanilla) you have to be much closer now, and by closer I mean ASM1 closer, lol (tested in Private Match). Well, unless you're the Obsidian variant. Do they do this on purpose or is balancing 350+ weapons just too challenging?
