I sorta gotta agree with Mousey.
While I loved the campaign for Mw1 and 2.... if all that CoD:AW has going for it is that it's the best campaign... with all the other garbage that I read that's going on with it, I'm glad I chose Destiny over CoD:AW. I know that Destiny has its problems and it's not for everyone and I'm not trying to stir anything up or go rah rah rah... but I'm glad I made the right choice for me.
But for sheer entertainment value, I'm glad I saw the OP's video

I cant for the life of me remember a single character beyond what they looked like. You subconsciously remembered one: Being the best cod campaign is akin to being the tastiest bar of soap.

AW campaign has a huge graphics improvement. I didn't think the actual game play was too special. Not saying i didnt enjoy the campaign, i did, i just dont think its the best. The campaign that stands out in my mind is WaW.

Am I the only one who never finished any cod campaign? I only ever play them if da interwebs are down I'm right there in line with you Asasa. I think the last one I finished was MW1. I have attempted to finish them all though. Like I tried CoD Ghosts. I think with that one, I did make it to the part where you shoot and kill like thousands of lightly armed Africans, who are charging you with spears. Something like that. It was right after a silly, gratuitous scene were some African was burned alive in a pot or something. I stopped around there, just got a bit to dumb for me. I'm not that much into the realism thing, but one person mowing down hundreds like some dumb Rambo IV movie, just bores me.

You have to play the campaign. For the achievements. Like I tried CoD Ghosts. I think with that one, I did make it to the part where you shoot and kill like thousands of lightly armed Africans, who are charging you with spears. This wasn't Ghosts.

I actually had the most fun with AW's single player than any other CoD game I can remember. There was a lot of neat stuff, and the bullshit deaths related to dying just because I didn't have any good cover anywhere were mostly removed. I felt like there was a very strong relationship between how I felt I was doing in the game versus how I was actually doing. In comparison, Black Ops and Black Ops 2 are filled with, "Oh, I guess the game just decided to kill me" moments. Like when you're two-shotted by some pissant dude with an AK as you pilot a vehicle. Fuck those design decisions. If you're going to throw me into your Mo-Mi Barbie Dreamhouse setpiece, at least be lenient with my in-game health.
Too bad the connection environment in AW is what it is. I was actually pumped after the single player to hop online.

Unless you're on Veteran, you have tons of health in single player.
AW's campaign definitely has more flow due to all the options available to the player such as threat detection. The result is that there is much more situational awareness.
However, it's still not fun. Were it not for achievements, I would never touch a Call of Duty campaign.

The freedom and open-endedness of the "Trottle" mission was spectacular. That level is HUGE and you can go pretty much anywhere with the grapple hook and tackle the objectives in any way you want. I was really disappointed that the grapple hook was not implemented into multiplayer. After Ghosts' 30-minute linear campaign of "walk in a straight line" it was really nice to have this.

I went and looked. It was BO2
5:00 min mark. The Africans weren't charging with spears, they had machetes. My bad. And yes, there was a regiment with me, but does that really matter? I'm the guy who shot and killed like 90% of the Zulu warriors charging across an open field (didn't they stop doing that sh1t back in 1870, at Isandlwanda?
Dumb.
4 min mark is the oven scene.
