Man, I wish I had your luck with drops. Eh, i don't know about that. I was lucky to get a helmet that night....but overall, Crota raids drop armor like a bug zapper drops flies. I would have gotten the pieces this upcoming week anyways for sure, it I hadn't gotten what i did. But i do have plenty of unluck. No Ghallorhorn yet. No Necrochasm yet either. I think that's all that i am missing.

Man, I wish I had your luck with drops. but overall, Crota raids drop armor like a bug zapper drops flies. Not for me. Three weeks worth of normal and hard Crota raids on three characters and not a one of them has more than two pieces of raid gear. My Lock only has one.

Hmm that is pretty unfortunate indeed. I have never gotten a helmet though (nor black hammer) in 15-20 normal runs and ~7 complete hard runs. To bad because I really want to use the claws of ahamkara (+ monte carlo) on my sunsinger and ruin wings on my defender (I am not a saint yet ).

I think tomorrow will be the 12th run for normal. We've had five weeks of hard mode. I've probably done a ton of Crota runs so far. Then take into consideration that in the past few weeks of Hard mode stuff too, so i've done duplicate runs too (Normal and Hard mode) I would say I have seen this so far. Let's say I've had 30 normal run finishes, and let's say 12 Hard finishes. 4 - Abyss Defiants and the LMG 3 - Scout Rifle, Shotguns 1 - Black Hammer, Word of Crota, Pulse Rifle and Hunger of Crota 0 - Necrochasm 0 - Gjallorhorn drops 6+ - Exotics I didn't need. 15? - Boots, Gloves (this might be more, I've shredded a ton of boots and gloves) 10? - Chest pieces 6? - Helmets 8 - Stupid ships 5 - cheap bracelets

I don't think.... in all of my web searchings... have I found anyone who actually admits to actually wanting to actually use the Monte Carlo. Actually. LOL , try it! it is great fun in anything not absolutely end-game (Strike playlists all the way till VoG Hard now we are lvl 31/32 it is valid IMHO). The Monte Carlo Method matches up perfectly with a warlock with the claws because: 1. I don't like to spec on strength to much, because supers and grenades are awesome. 2. the second melee (or grenade) is not influenced by your strength statistic, making 1. even more true combined with the claws 3. The monte carlo method is actually a really effective perk % wise, I seem to get my flame shield at least 3/4 times a minute. I have never actually researched it, but planet destiny says the following, which seems to be in line with what I experienced: 4. you get a nice audible que when your melee is completely filled by a kill, which lets you know if you can keep on going Rambo style, or have to back up for a few seconds. 5. the combined effect of filling your melee gradually by dealing damage, plus a chance of filling it completely by killing something, makes it awesome in combination with the claws. Because without the claws you will be 'wasting' quite allot of melee energy every time your melee is fully charged. 6. Warlock has that self revive, which you want to use as much as possible, otherwise you keep sitting on your super for hours sometimes. 7. I just like creating synergies It is what kept me playing CoD for all those years. It is the bad juju for melee lovers, it is kindoff the same trade-off. Your damage you are dealing is not that special compared to different exotics, but the extra damage/freedom you get for abilities will (kinda, in a fun way) make up for that. The weapon itself does actually have pretty good handling! the weapons sights is what bothers me a little though. The following setup is really great great fun for the VoG (hard) conflux stage: Sunsinger Flame Shield Fireborn Monte Carlo Void fusion for them minotaurs (or even a shotgun if you feel risky) Something something heavy It is by no means a power setup, and I would strongly advice you from using it in any nightfall where the enemy has lightswitch/ burn melee / allot of burn weapons. But other then the really hard content, it is actually better then I thought initially! (my warlock also has a bad juju combined with obsidian mind loadout, which is somewhat comparable, but then for voidwalker. Being mediocre weapons at best, creating good synergies they can become pretty fairly good) didn't read it all, but planet destiny seems to agree with my ideas about it pretty nicely: planetdestiny.com/monte-carlo-exotic-review-v-2/

I always viewed the Monte Carlo to kinda be the redheaded stepchild of PS exclusives family... you have the Good (Hawkmoon), the Bad (4th Horseman), and the Forgotten (Monte Carlo)
EDIT: but any gun, so long as it's used by a competant player, can be good I suppose. Hell, I see people advocating how NLB is a good gun used in the right circumstances (ie: with a fusion rifle) so I'm sure the Monte Carlo can be pretty good too

That is why I wanted to create a class around it If you own one, try it! it finally lets you get kinda close to your enemies without dying within 3 seconds (but no longer than 7-8 seconds ) I am curious how effective shotguns are going to be PvE, but that would completely seal the deal for me

So long as you enjoy getting right up into your opponents... it might be viable. But in PVP/PVE/PVAnything, I haven't heard anyone who owns T4H have anything good to say about it. This includes people who have leveled it to max too. It's a collectors item.

Bumping....
HAve two 32's now - Started to think about bringing the Titan up. On the one hand it's actually quite fun to go through all the missions again (there are quite a few that never seem to make it into daily missions.) I rarely do those now anyway.
On the other... erggghhh ... white and green gear, no cryptarch rank, the thought of Eris missions.... G.R.I.N.D.....

If you do it, time it with a next IB and a Xur drop. Pick up an exotic, plus one/two IB Lv36 gear, plus some solo Crota stuff.... you can have it done in less than a week. Zero to Level 32.

I'm making 3 warlocks... so the grind is much more minimized. But if you use your main as your sugar daddy, you should be okay doing a different class, at least for the weapons.
