Can you unlock everything at level 55 or are you forced to prestige for that?

I hope it stays that way! What do you mean by customized attachments? like a better red dot sight? That could be favorable. (although they are probably way worse than the standard dot) Just different looking ones iirc

I'll say this. I haven't played any CoD in like seven months, ...didn't play the BO3 beta. AW just burned me out. But not so much AW, but the whole clan war process. How BeachHead royally fvcked over all the clans that were playing last spring. Clans that had put in the time and effort, got completely shafted when the Beachhead made the sudden announcement they were going to cancel Clan Wars, do a reboot, and force everyone to start over from square one. Foxtrot Beachhead. Foxtrot AW. Foxtrot the game, is exactly how I thought. I pretty much gave up on CoD. So last night, I said screw it and did get the $99 digital bundle. To show how much I was into playing it, I fell asleep at 11:30 and never bothered to open it. Oh well. I did get this morning for work at 5:30am, and thought I would sign on for 15 minutes just to check out graphics, maybe play a bot game. So I did. Tried a bot 6v6 Dom match, on the hardest bot settings, on the woods map (big trees). I just picked an AR and some items on the pick 10 list. Gave it go. Four hours later, I was still playing the same mode and map. Wow. I got to say this. I really liked how this game plays. Everything, and I do mean everything, just felt unbelievable dialed in. It's everything AW isn't, which is great news. This is the Anti-AW. If someone hated AW and everything it represented, this new BO3 may give you hope that CoD is back. From what I saw, just playing the bot mode, everything felt great. Movement is spot on. Exos accent movement, but don't overwhelm like AW did. Wall running is fun, but not OP, it's a nice subtle addition. TitanFall light, which is perfect. The game doesn't play like a bunch of Mexican jumping beans. Everything with movement felt great: Sprint, movement wobble, mantling, all dialed in perfectly. Not one bad thing. Subdued (compared to AW), but played fast. The one map I played, it also felt very right. It was nice size. Not to big, not to small. It was the old Treyarch three lanes concept, so lots of control points, but plenty of flanking if needed. It was Foxtroting great to be playing CoD again INSIDE a map, USING the map, rather than flying all over above the map, rendering it meaningless, like how AW did. This one BO3 map (can't even remember the name) felt perfect, with the bots, and how Dom played. Wonderful angles and points. Guns felt nice. The amount of damage to kill someone, felt perfect, right in the middle. Not to fast, maybe even a bit on the slow times to kill. That's ok. Killstreaks seemed in line so far, with what I've seen. Pick 10 was nice, and felt easy to use. I'll end with this. Not having played CoD in ages, part of me wanted this to suck, so I could just be done with this game. AW really left a sour taste in my mouth. That bad. Unfortunately for the above hating, I couldn't find a single negative thing to say about BO3 in the little I played this morning. It actually has me getting my hopes up here. This really feels like CoD. The game I used to like. And love. It felt Foxtroting awesome. I actually WANT to get back on and start playing. Exploring maps, guns, and all the other fun details. I hope it stays this way, once I move to MP in a few days

After the short, bleary eyed 2 hours I spent last night playing after midnight I felt sort of the same way iw5000.
Maybe this is a new strategy? Release a terrible CoD iteration so the next one feels awesome?

Release a terrible CoD iteration so the next one feels awesome? that's actually a pretty good point. Are my very initial first impressions clouded, by just how god awful AW's movement mechanics (and lag) was? Maybe? Who knows. Even a Chuck-E-Cheese pizza can taste awesome, if you just ate a dog turd. right before. Something to consider. I was talking to a friend this morning (Swain), one of the few people I know who not only liked AW, but was very good at it too . . . he said the lag has been surprisingly good so far in his MP adventures so far. What he didn't like, was the specialist stuff. Not feeling it. I can't really offer to much on that side of things.

I think it's more about 3arc just having a better idea of what they're doing and having vision.
My first impressions are this game is gonna be the new #1. Guys, don't forget to enable real-time ping and packet loss information. It was disabled by default which I can sort of understand since 98% of the userbase has no clue what any of that shit means or how to use that information correctly and constructively.

Using the ping numbers constructively? The closest thing to something constructive you can do is quit the game when your ping is shit, but you don't really need a ping meter to know when you're in that situation.
I guess this place is as good a place as any to put full game impressions. The game is really good, and pretty much all you could hope for out of a COD game. The server model they have still seems prone to lag for no good reason, nowhere near the level of smooth sailing Titanfall was when playing a populated playlist on US West. As a game it is ludicrously unoriginal... for all the 'new' stuff they're bringing to COD, it's all so blatantly lifted from other games as to be laughable. I'm sad that Titanfall didn't have single player stuff to try wall-running in campaign or the 'free-run' courses first. The free-run levels were pretty fun, but in campaign wallrunning has been really underused as of around the 50% progress mark. And since it's actually a perk you have to add to your character rather than a core game mechanic I really have to wonder when they decided to go with wallruns. It feels like they saw Titanfall, and made the call to design t he multiplayer with wallrunning as a core mechanic and just had to retrofit it a bit onto the campaign which was already quite a ways into the development cycle. The double jump thing doesn't even appear to be in the campaign at all (though maybe it comes later).
One question that wasn't answered by the beta is how well Free For All would play. After four for five rounds I'm pretty confident to say that it's fantastic. First of all Awareness and footstep sounds in general do not have that goofy nerf like they had in BO2. We'll see how it shakes out once people unlock Dead Silence, but hearing footsteps once again in FFA makes me happy. As for the movement mechanics... let's face it, in team game types it's fairly situational. It's very hard for wall-running to give you an advantage compared with standard Blops 2 style ADS strafe into a use mind bullets and clear the enemy use mind bulletses type of gameplay. I guess it's pretty decent in Kill Confirmed, but you know what I mean, for TDM or DOM where most people are posting up at power positions rather than full-on rushing. In FFA though going wallrun superhero mode is ridiculously fun and effective. Man I want an FFA mode in Titanfall 2. But this will do nicely. The way you can round corners in unexpected ways, or do evasive stuff after a kill while reloading to give yourself a chance to turn on the guy running up behind you feels amazing. I still need to try gun game. Yeah, after quite a number of years this game finally has the loner in me covered. Black Ops 2 was ok for Free For All, but the last game I out-of-my-mind loved FFA was probably MW3 with the way Specialist was the jelly to FFA's peanut butter.

Love the gun paintjob feature and added emblem editor functionality. I think I'm spending more time painting my guns than shooting them.
