For topics that don't need their own thread.
Post questions/observations/impressions here.
I'll start.
If you prestige a gun you'll keep attachments for it if you have another class made with said gun. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Also are there perma unlock prestige tokens a la Black cOps II?

I'd like to have a silent moment of appreciation for them finally making melee a two hit kill. No more magic third arm with a knife, now you bash with your guns. It's like they've read one of the 100+ times we've posted about it on here. Well done, Treyarch. No matter what comes of this game, I really do appreciate that you actually listened on this one.

Stock has reduced effectiveness when firing & strafing. VERY noticeable on LMGs. Haven't tested on snipers/ARs. stock works normally with shotguns/SMGs
Using a sight on pistols increases visual recoil by an insane amount.
from my experience shotguns don't have ADS delay. maybe that's something we already know, but w/e
if ADS movement is actually 80% for shotguns (which it doesn't feel like) then that is still not fast enough to trigger ghost perk's active. Ghost is useless this game.
suppressor is incredibly unforgiving this game.
dual wield on the MR6 (semi auto pistol) decreases the firerate cap by a lot. It went from me not being able to hit the cap at all to me easily being able to queue shots with it.

There is one perma unlock per prestige. With next prestige you will be given one extra CAC slot and default classes will be removed. Seems like you can have up to 15 custom classes.
No other rewards like double xp this time. Also there's refund option like in bo2.

Geist bro is ASS. YOU HAVE TO BE SPRINTING AT ALL TIMES TO DISAPPEAR FROM THE MINI MAP. YOU CAN'T EVEN WALK AT FULL SPEED TO DISAPPEAR.

Speaking of spooky ghost. Does the active camo from Cold Steel the Wetworker hide you from radar?

What does prestige-ing a weapon give you? Do you lose weapon camos (which I assume are tied to challenges like in the past?)

You do lose your attachments, camo remains. 1st weapon prestige letting you put the clan tag on the gun,2nd - allows to put kill counter on the gun. Got one on ICR-1, looks really small sized to me.
Also there's a bug / exploit. If you have two classes of same gun and prestige-ing one of them, all the attachment on your second weapon will remain unlocked.

I liked the campaign, and after 5 years I finally got it right, Zombies in campaign. Thank you Treyarch for making my alt history zombies tied to campaign theory pan out.

It's just that I think you have to move outside of a certain radius. I tested with walking about with a shotgun, I was hidden while walking. Maybe only with max mobility weapons does it work with walk speed.

Maybe only with max mobility weapons does it work with walk speed. Do you know what the mobility of each of the weapon types are? I've been trying to figure out what the Gung-Ho perk actually does. Without it I can hold down sprint, hip fire, then continue sprinting without ever re clicking my sprint button. Is the perk just not slowing you down from sprint to walk speed when you hip fire/throw grenades?

AW:
Normal sprint requires sprint out then you fire at walk speed. Gung ho REMOVES sprint out, allowing you to fire at sprint speed.
BO3:
Normal sprint requires sprint out then you fire at walk speed. Gung ho requires sprint out BUT allows you to fire at sprint speed.
Useless perk. Especially in the same tier as awareness/DS? Please.

Campaign is rather good nice little nod to zombies. Question can you unlock everything once you hit max level? Some observations FFA spawns are down right terrible out of 5 games played been able to spawn into 2 people at the start. Also seen people spawn behind me or in front of me. Noticed loads of bad spawns some of the worse I seen. Starting spawns can be fixed but knowing the spawn locations = 1st. Stock is going to be must have on assault rifles due to power creep. Notice right off the bat the changes done to stock for ARs/SMGs. Iron sights are not bad on most weapons thinking worth not adding any sights at all on most weapons. Suppressor range drop must be big Expecting the to be Tier 1 perks Flak, Blind eye Fast hands, cold blooded and Scavenger Awareness, Tac mask [Have doubts going to be useful], Dead silence Smoke is rather awesome Game likes you to be passive but some what aggressive. Expect we see some serious passive classes as result with some serious lack of movement. Movement is just for moving not very useful in combat. No likely the linear progression system but I can live with that. Also playing solo sucks

Well thank fuck you can do that with shotguns.Yeah I discovered it by accident as I have 5 Haymaker classes but it's no big deal with shotguns this time around. They're a lot less attachment reliant in BLOPs 3 than in previous tittles. The only biggie is like maybe RF on the Gaymaker/Brecci but they're still fine w/o it.

Controller support on PC, why did this need to be a thing? using a controller for an FPS game on PC just defeats the purpose of playing on PC.

yes but its hella frustrating when these nubs using controller jump all over the gosh darn golly gee whiz place and let the auto aim keep them on target. tracking targets with a mouse is easier at long range but you get shit on up close if the other guy has auto aim on his side.

Yeah, never got around playing a Safeguard game that hasn't devolved to draws and Gorgon fests. It's a fucking meat grinder.

I find safeguard fun. Reminds me of the old Escort days on SOCOM.
@rainbowcrash: there has been controller support on PC since Black Ops 1. IIRC I think the first Modern Warfare had it, even.
Re: Solo play. Yes, it's frustrating at times. It is nice that a loss doesn't count any more when you join a game in progress. Losing still sucks but now it sucks a little tiny bit less. But as a general proposition, you have to assume in every solo objective based game that you are the only one who will have any desire to perform the objective. So you have to cap B, you have to defend B, you have to plant the bomb, you have to defuse it, you have to do all of it. It limits you in your loadouts to the extent you have to sort of run a jack of all trades loadout for objective based games. I find there are always a few people who join me in this endeavor eventually. People "sort of" play the objective, especially now that it rewards them with scorestreak points. (It should give more points, really.) Sometimes, even more people follow your lead and you have something resembling spontaneous team organization among non communicating strangers. When that happens, congratulations, you are truly a leader of men and you have performed a miraculous feat of herding cats and you are all better people for it. Other times they don't follow your lead, and your teammates are all terrible people who should be ashamed of themselves and they should all go play in the freeway. But that's life. It is rewarding when you successfully rambo a win in Dom or Demolition or something, which is possible more than half the time for a positive W/L ratio.
It's just a different game. I get why people who have played in parties hate it, because it is sort of a semi-functional chaos that you have to try and work with.
Still wish they would bring back the BO1 leaderboard for Dom which if I remember correctly sorted by caps not kills, which was a nice little shaming tool for the non-capping losers.

My problem is I like Domination, and even with the changes, it's still primarily a game full of KD nutlickers. But there aren't a lot of other good options now. I have dabbled a bit in TDM, but the maps just seem a bit to big now, perhaps because the maps are new? Either way, game play is to slow, making it boring. I used to like S&D and S&R, ...but solo'ing that is way to frustrating for my tastes. KC? I love to play this mode, when it means something. Like clan contests, clan wars, etc...but playing just to play? It's even worse than Dom, in terms of killwhoring. There just aren't a lot of options. Agree x 100.I still don't understand why Treyarch doesn't reward flags differently. They already do this now, with the first A/C flag only giving 50 pts. What they should do, is this. If your side is down 2 flags to 1, the score-changing flag should be moved to 250 to 300pts....and triple capping reduced from 200pts to 100pts. Agree. It never ceases to amaze me how a lot of Dom games, the top of the leaderboard is often populated by the d1ckhead who went like 40-10, with zero caps and 2 defends.

...and when he loses, the 40-10 guy with zero caps is always yapping away on the mic about how much his team sucks. Yep. I can safely say this . . . .that over the first seven to eight hours of gaming I have on BO3, I have YET to have a single random follow me to the B flag, to actually get on it with me. At the start of round 1 or 2 of a Dom game. Yep. I've had a few that have come near B, but then veer off to a side to camp out for kills. I'm not exaggerating there either. NOT ONE SINGLE RANDOM YET. NOT ONE. Each game, off I go. WTF, why not. Jump on it, and then sit there waiting to be shot. Sometimes I do get it though. You would think, from observing what I am seeing, that these randoms think there is like a naked women there on B. Pussy to nerds, is like garlic to a vampire.

For team play, I always play Search. But for solo, I am having a real blast with the new Safeguard mode. If you don't care about your overall K/D, it's a very satisfying feeling to win the game for your team of random scrubs by escorting the robot the whole way alone.
