BTW, Jonesy and I tested out the Reaper with Dead Silence the other day, and it is indeed totally broken compared to the other specialists.. Unless you're going for camos (which I am), you seriously need to run the Reaper full-time. It's bloody quiet and almost impossible to soundwhore with Awareness in the middle of combat. The difference is significant.

I see a bunch of shank only guy run Reaper just to be extra sneaky. He's the #1 meta character. Death Machine arm being good doesn't hurt either.
Edito: I just hope Reaper's free super Ninja Pro Pro Pro doesn't get too out of hand. They're going to have to fix it later otherwise a year from now it'll be 6 V 6 Reaper and soundwhoring will be back to BLOPS2 levels.

Call of Duty Nat is a lie. As long as the console says it's open, it doesn't matter what the game says it is. Matchmaking was unaffected by my "strict" NAT in Call of Duty. However, if it is strict on the console, matchmaking is affected; matchmaking will feel dead.
Unfortunately, it seems simply port forwarding the expected ports is no longer enough for me; I grew frustrated at the derpy xbox and its connectivity fussiness and stuck it on the DMZ.

Yeah I am getting surprised by non dead-silence (but still totally silent) reapers. The danger of being crutched with awareness I suppose.
Anyone disappointed by how god-awful the paintjob textures look on Xbox One? It's like a 320x200 resolution on those things, it is terrible. I guess this should be expected on Xbone, but man. Fugly.

Question do EMP work like they did with BO2? Throw them at building melts anything inside due to the blast range.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but if you slide and then YY in the middle of the slide, you'll continue running without the slight delay at the end.

With the new and improved Black Hats from the beta, is it even possible to still hack a Hellstorm missile, or snag a care package before it gets delivered?

I used EMPs a lot in BO2 and BO3 EMPS have a significantly smaller radius, albeit still decent size. They still go through walls but some groundstreaks take two to destroy, like the Cerberus and the Guardian. I think the GI Unit might take more but they're rarer than an uncooked steak so I don't remember. I like to use them to check around corners for enemies since you'll get a hitmarker if an ememy is anywhere near the blast regardless of obstacles.

I wasn't sure if it warranted it's own thread so I thought I'd try here first: what weapons do you find most viable when suppressed? I've always run silencers in the past games but I can't seem to find a gun that feels good with one in Blops III. Maybe the Dredge?

The brecci, haymaker, and the sniper rifles seem to work okay with suppressors. Then again though, not one of those are viable weapons, so I'm not sure that's what you wanted to know...

Guess I forgot about the snipers. I'm on PC, so the Drakon silenced is pretty decent. I always feel a little dirty running it though.

I've had a fair amount of success running the suppressor on the Vesper. With the high RoF and already terrible range, the penalty doesn't feel quite so brutal.

Does the auto-burst fire feature (holding down the trigger) maximize fire rate and minimize burst delay? In other words, should one be spamming the trigger to maximize fire rate or does just holding it already achieve the best fire rate possible? I find it kind of odd they would 'automate' semi-auto weapons.

Sure, but is it possible to find a 'sweet spot' where repeatedly hitting the trigger is better than just holding it down? If not, then they're really just automatic weapons with a burst delay, right? I'm just trying to understand why holding the trigger down (or not) is even an option.

Holding the trigger is better if you can stay on target the whole time while timing bursts is better if you don't stay on target the whole time. And I'm pretty sure the whole "shot jams if you press fire too soon" thing was removed from BO3 for whatever reason, meaning if you press fire too soon the game will just wait until after whatever delay is occurring and then fire immediately.

You'd be wrong. I frequently jammed the M8 while golding it, and would have jammed the Sheiva even more had I not decided to gold it playing only Hardcore.

I pretty sure jamming is PS4/Consoles only.
Meanwhile on PS4:

the Drakon silenced is pretty decent. It renders the Sheiva and all the other Snipers obsolete. At least Treyarch's 3 for 4 on balancing sniper rifles in this game...

I don't know why, but H.I.V.E. usage makes me feel so, so giddy. The idea... of having people scream whilst their flesh is torn away by nanites has me smile every time. Can't wait to do up the Firebreak next for similar reasons.
... I-I'm a-also completely normal by the way! H-honest!

Hi Cal or LB on the XM8? Edito: Or RF. The free spreadsheet has the stats on attachments now: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Zv1TA_dn9DKtHSNDGgMSgE4kXzfCJErTWA9yHYFxg5Y/htmlview?ts=56497c75&sle=true#High Cal = 1.5x headshot (vs standard 1.1x)a single headshot will change it from a 4-shot-kill to a 3-shot-killLB = 2x Every Damage Rangethis will double your 4-shot-kill range from 42m to 84mRF = 0.88x Burst DelayAll three are great attachments. I especially like the layering bonus of High Cal with the Long Barrel (potential 3-shot-kills out to 84m, allowing you to miss one bullet from the burst as long as one hits the head)

Rapid Fire affects either fire time or burst delay, not both.

Thinking about dropping stock for lazor and just shotgunning people from the hip with it in CQC but I'm still too addicted to stock ATM. I use stock on everything that isn't a Brecci or Haymaker.

After playing Titanfall, I've gotten really used to the Bumper Jumper control scheme and because of the movement similarities in BOIII, I've transitioned to Bumper Jumper Tactical in this newest CoD. Despite the name, it ironically makes using tactical grenades rather difficult as they become mapped to a face button. However, when I can afford it, I like to use the Tactician wildcard to replace my lethal with a tactical or 2 (often concussions) and be able to throw them more comfortably with the R1 button. A class I like to use this with is:
KRM-262 w/ Laser Sight RK5 w/ Laser Sight 2x Concussions in the Lethal Slot Sixth Sense Fast Hands Dead Silence Tactician
An odd quirk I've noticed using this class is that you can not equip 2 Tacticals in the Lethal slot while using Tactician until you've reached level 31, which is when Danger Close becomes unlockable. However once you reach level 31, you do not need to equip or even unlock Danger Close to equip 2 Tacticals in the Lethal slot. It's very interesting CaC behavior.
