I spent some time arranging the zoom levels available for most weapons and optics in Black Ops 3. While I cannot offer specific multipliers for magnification, the ascending spectrum of magnification levels goes like this:
Level 1 - All Shotgun iron sights (except Argus)
Level 2 - All Pistol iron sights
Level 3 - All SMG iron sights; Argus
Level 4 - Varix 3 (low zoom)
Level 5 - All AR iron sights; Reflex; ELO
Level 6 - All LMG iron sights; BOA 3
Level 7 - Thermal
Level 8 - Recon; XM-53
Level 9 - Varix 3 (high zoom); Black Cell
Level 10 - All Sniper scopes (default)
Some suprising takeaways from this:
-All optic attachments offer the same magnification regardless of weapon type -Fixing a Reflex or ELO on your LMG will weaken your zoom over using the irons -Black Cell launchers have higher zoom than their XM-53 counterpart -Argus iron sights get a higher zoom level than all other Shotguns
These finding are likely far from perfect; and I gratefully invite any corrections based upon your own research/observations.

That is really interesting. I wasn't aware that the reflex sights zoom, isn't any more then the assault rifle iron sights. I took screenshots of all the ADS zoom levels, from a distance of about 100 feet, and put them all together in a single image:

wait you can ads with the hive launcher? Yeah, not that it makes that much of a difference.

Very Cool thread, I may now use an ELO on my pistol instead of irons. TY for the info.

Recently started using snipers again and I don't know if it's a placebo or what, but I feel like I'm aiming through a telescope when using the SVG compared to the Locus base scope.

It makes sense. The devs sometimes give the lower damage snipers lower zoom scopes.
