100% would have bought this for $60 last year. 0% I'll buy it for any more than $20 this year, and even that's a stretch. Activision really missed the boat on this one.

I got MW bundled in the Infinite Warfare package. I got sort of close to prestiging and then lost all interest. Haven't touched it in like six months. For reasons I can't really put my finger on, I never really played it that much. I did have fun for some short periods, but as I played more...I think I started noticing problems and issues. And the 'fun times' became fewer and fewer.

Been playing a lot of MWR lately. Still too many BS deaths from (IMO) internet game things, aka - net code, servers, "lag comp", etc. But its far better than from around launch time. May also have to do with an improvement of the TV I play on and a smaller amount of display lag. Mostly SnD and Dom. If anyone is still playing, sent me an invite on PS4.

Still play some on PS4. It's not saying much, but this is the best CoD on current hardware.

What's the best way to take out the chopper? Killstreaks seem to be far more frequent than in the original back in the day. People have gotten much better

If you hit it once with an RPG, a few bullets will down it. But I never figured out the RPG.

Either that or an LMG clip should do it. RPG is pretty inaccurate.

May try the RPD with double tap
Also: I could've sworn months ago Raven stated on twitter they were working on a fix for footsteps. As it stands dead silence is still useless. Quite irritating

Well, I lied. I finally got bored of Dark Souls 3 and decided to pick this up to keep me occupied for a couple weeks before Destiny 2 comes out. It's fun, feels like CoD4 or MW2 playing at a slower pace and campier instead of the turbo-rushing, sniping is terrible and useless direction the series moved to, so I'm enjoying it so far. Supply drops are dumb but some of the new camos and kits are cool. New weapons I'm not really thrilled about, but they're not pay2win from everything I've seen so I'm not outraged about them either. Now I just have to level far enough to unlock the M14 and I'll be all set.

Finally caved and bought a PS4 just to play MWR. It's a pretty faithful remake sans the silent footsteps and supply drop guns, but I suppose the supply drop system is relatively fair considering the alternatives. It's sad that this is pretty much the only recent, playable CoD that still has an active community.

Was it.... like scratched or dented or just plain ol' hellacheep? Anywho... add me if you want to play the division or destiny

MWR is actually good, probably the best current-gen CoD, although I really like War mode on WW2.

Man, I finally picked this game up and despite the low-ish population count I've been enjoying this remastered throwback. I also have been pleased by some of the minor changes they made such as Last Stand deaths going to the original killer and the Bomb Squad perk highlighting items in red.
Oh, and I just read here that the Dead Silence perk is broken or useless. Is that still the case? If so, I may not run it as I was initially intending once I unlocked it. I suppose toning it down makes some sense given the improvements in headsets since the original game was released.
Initially I also wasn't a fan of the new weapons, but given time I've come around to how they kind of give some meaning to trying out some different class setups.
I will say that I don't care for the lengthy grind that's required to earn supply crates. That part really annoys me, but I've never been a fan of the grind process in CoD titles for weapons. I wish it was only an experience grind for prestige purposes and not related to weapon and item unlocks.

MW3 is now backwards compatible on XBoner! Had a fun few hours last night with that "jesus what the fuck is up with these maps" MW3 feeling.

MW3 That was the last real CoD game that had workable spawn traps on Domination. Traps where like entire other teams would be decimated. I may have to go try and download that.

MW3 is now backwards compatible on XBoner! Had a fun few hours last night with that "jesus what the f uck is up with these maps" MW3 feeling. I have now played MW3 a bit, after converting it to my XB1. I also tried MW2, but i could never get a game to load, not enough people. My initial thoughts on MW3, playing it again after a long time? It's tough to go back. Nostalgia is a terrible thing. It had convinced me some of these past CoD games would always be the best ever, but it's just not the case. Case in point MW3. Don't get me wrong, i had fun in some ways. It was neat to run around in some of those old maps (Terminal, Interchange, etc..) Getting to to do it all again. But it's just ....not the same sadly. I'm playing solo, not with the old friends who were around then. You also don't realize how dated the graphics look. And then the lag. I really started to appreciate CoD WW2, how smooth the game played after going back to MW3. After playing MW3 a bit, I went back to CoDWW2. The latter just looks and plays so much better. You can't go back. That's kind of sad.

Yeah, whatever you do, don't watch your childhood favourite movies. A few years ago i rewatched TRON and THE LAST STARFIGHTER since they were clear gems when I was a little boy. Hey guess what? THEY ARE TERRIBLE.
So yeah, you can't go back. Thanks for trying that out iw5000, I was curious myself.

Do you like Blackout better than PUBG?
(I guess PUBG is included when you say, 'nothing else'?)

I never played PUBG. It seems a lot of pubg players enjoy Blackout though, from what I have been reading.

I am now 100% hooked on Blackout and basically play/do nothing else. What appealed to me about traditional cod was that if you had limited amount of time to play, like say half an hour, you could always fit in a couple of games. What's blackout like in this respect? Is it something you need to dedicate more time to play?

Yeah it's way more of a time suck. One game is like 15-20 minutes depending on how long you make it (or if you win). And dying can be so frustrating that you have to try another round, and it takes at least a minute or so to start a new game due to the pre-game lobby.

Right now PS Plus members can pick up this game for free, which struck me as odd. Perhaps some MW2 news soon?

PEGI rated MW2 (Campaign only) recently. There's some theories that MW2 content will come to Remastered multiplayer or the campaign will be packaged with MW4. It's that time of year where the current CoD sucks and the next one will surely fix everything and be awesome like the first time we played CoD.
