Assuming everything shown is real and accurate, that's all pretty damning.

It's hard to uphold the allegation that Tmartn is the sole owner of the company. I don't doubt that H3H3Productions has an amazing research partner working for him, but if there was a link or anything in the description of the video showing everyone that Tmartn was affiliated with the company his statements would carry more substance. If nothing else, Tmartn claimed that he was a partial owner of the company, which is more believable. For someone who uploads daily it's very hard to believe that this guy can run an entire website on the side. Either way- there's clearly a conflict of interest. EDIT: Something tells me this is going to drag on for a few days.

This is some of the scummiest shit I have seen in the vidyogame industry
I'm not sure which is worse... - games using lottery mechanics for microtransactions (underage gambling) - these goldfarm-like sites that let you gamble skins for cash (underage gambling) - scumlord tmartn's ridiculously cunning behaviour

If nothing else, Tmartn claimed that he was a partial owner of the company, which is more believable. For someone who uploads daily it's very hard to believe that this guy can run an entire website on the side. Either way- there's clearly a conflict of interest. Well he has some guy named videogameattorney working with him who was a big help with his fair use issue in the past. Same guy has previously said that CSGO gambling would go down hard someday. Anyways, we know that Tmartn, ProSyndicate (youtuber), and JoshOG (twitch streamer) all are owners of the company. JoshOG being the biggest idiot on his stream claiming he was just a "sponsor", not there at the creation of the company. Despite saying that, all of them are in the company's articles of incorporation. None of them disclosed to their viewers until H3H3's video went up. Tmartn is trying to claim everything he has done is legal and he would never do anything illegal. Syndicate has said the least, but says he will disclose better. All of them will regret not talking to an attorney first if this goes anywhere. This is some of the scummiest shit I have seen in the vidyogame industry I'm not sure which is worse... - games using lottery mechanics for microtransactions (underage gambling) - these goldfarm-like sites that let you gamble skins for cash (underage gambling) - scumlord tmartn's ridiculously cunning behaviour Well, games using rng microtransactions isn't gambling really. Hearthstone cards, Overwatch cosmetics, all have no real monetary value. You would have to start calling yu-gi-oh packs gambling then. Some cards are rarer and worth more, how's it any different? The sites that gamble are undoubtedly illegal if someone decides to pursue it in court. And this isn't anything out of the ordinary for old Tmart.

Yeah, well, Tmartn deserves all the criticism he gets at this point.

The dishonesty by omission is really Foxtroted up. If he had been transparent about it I would have praised this shit as genius.
EDIT: Oh wow, not even by omission. Straight up, bold-faced lies. Fuck.

From what I've read about this and seen the digging others have done, it appears he is guilty as charged. He's lied, lied again, and then lied some more. He actively tried to deceive his audience to promote a gambling website he owned and controlled.

On a scale from 1 to TotalBiscuit making a video solely to roast your shady butt, how badly have you screwed up today?
Twitch Streamer JoshOG admitting he owns equity in CSGOlotto... then having the gall to say equity ≠ ownership.

- games using lottery mechanics for microtransactions (underage gambling) This right here is why I stopped playing so much BO3. So many poor souls spending oodles of money on attempts to get the marshals and bows. On a relevant note... We already knew Tmart was a trash tier individual didn't we? Right up there with Driftor. Edit: Its interesting that Activision games have been avoiding digital trading even though Destiny was developing for it in its early stages. Skylanders promotes trading of the physical objects, but iirc forgoes the ability to trade digital items.

The most I've seen anyone mad at drift for is getting weapon stats wrong in his videos. How is that even comparable to tmart scamming kids?

Did you SEE what he did to that poor college class lol? (he also didn't give credit where it was due a bunch of times, but I guess that was offset by hit donations to Marvel) I was talking past tense though. Now? Tmart is clearly in a worse spot in my mind.

Wow. Been away a while and this is pretty pathetic. Hopefully Valve gets shut down, put into bankrutpcy and the rest of the kiddie abusers get tossed in prison too. Leave it to the video game industry to mix gambling with kids. Youtube people, fuck them. Losers.
Thinking on this more, this is probably main instigator that helped chase me away from playing FPS'ers in the past year or so. Just getting tired of the bullshit with lottery stuff. First the abomination known as Advanced Warfare with it's lottery based/buying gun system, then the shit with Destiny, then quickly watching BO3 spiral into a lottery site this past spring, with it's new guns (to be fair, I haven't played in ages, so maybe this game isn't as bad)
On the surface, isn't what Activision is doing with it's for pay shit (skins, guns, etc.._), not that far removed? It seems like almost the same thing, less the secondary market.

Has Drift0r been swindling his audiences' cash? No, not at all. Not even sure why he was brought up here. And not that I have any real desire to defend Destiny, iw5000, but MMOs have been doing randomized loot drops from enemies for two decades. It's to stretch out content in between expansion releases. Unless you're speaking of some P2W or cash shop system they put in place that I'm not aware of; if that's the case, never mind what I said.

Unless you're speaking of some P2W or cash shop system they put in place that I'm not aware of; if that's the case, never mind what I said. I worded that poorly. I wasn't trying to indict Activision/Destiny for criminal wrongdoing with what TMartn is doing, only speaking how I personally feel about the whole lottery wheel loot/MMO stuff. I got my first taste of it with CoD-AW, then got smacked in the face with it playing Destiny. Saw it again with BO3. That shit is draining. It did affect HOW I played those games, and versus other people. And like I said, I'm pretty sure it was one of the main drivers that killed my lack of interest in FPS'ers right now. With the above, that's why I asked in the second part of my post. I think Mousey answered it. I can't see how TMartn or the other douchebag doesn't get indicted under this. It's illegal. FTC thing, isn't it? Edit Here's where I was coming from in terms of illegalities. While CoD Points many not have any transference to actual cash, isn't there some illegal grey area there with the disclosure aspects? Like how some of these YouTube fucktards go on their channels and win all these CoD guns and skins, but in reality, Activision was most likely feeding them microtransaction $$, that were never disclosed to the public?

I almost feel bad to read all this drama and feel nothing. As in I don't care about it. The most I could feel is a bit sad for the kids out there that have spent their parents money on crap to begin with.

I agree. But with the state of the gaming industry and toxic youtube and gaming communities, nothing surprises me. We can hope a lot of money is lost in legal fees, lawsuits, fines, etc.. and then maybe we will see some changes for the better.

Maybe someone will bypass the court system and just bust both of those losers up. Break a few limbs and lose a few pieces, so they can't play video games anymore.

I can't believe these guys thought they'd get away with it. Thought? Thinking? Reason? Nah! they just saw money and went for it. Had they thought about it a bit, they would have promoted it differently as owners and would have made just as much money in the long run and not be in this mess they are in now.
