Thanks to Supernintendo Chalmers for the Nightfall and powerbountying, I got Doom Fangs and Lord O Wolves. A platter of steamed hams is in order, good sir.
And I thought I saw that you got the Ikelos shotgun too...that's a good drop as well.

My most used energy weapon by a country mile. Don’t leave home without it. (I use mine with the instant melee reload of ahamkara) plus extra damage. Wrecks everything I can get close to.
Just got Ursa Furiosa from the Wanted Spider bounty. It has enhanced hand cannon loader, along with rocket launcher and shotgun scavenger perks on it too.
Edit: Got Geomag Stabilizers and Phoenix Protocol on Wednesday.
"Guns and bombs don't kill people. Clever scientists who want to build a better method of destruction kill people - lots of them. Most of my Gears couldn't make anything more lethal than a blade or a bow. So you'll forgive me if I think it stinks that my Gears get your "baby-killer" crap and your educated colleagues get research grants. And that's before you start inventing other shit you can't control." - Victor Hoffman.

Geomags ‘locks are so dominant in gambit it’s unreal.
I want.
Yeah two of my clanmates have it as well and they main Warlocks. Just a pity one of my old clanmates has stopped playing Destiny for the time being because he can run Nightstalker with Orpheus Rigs instead of me and I'll swap to Sunbreaker and run Synthoceps. That appears to be an ideal team composition from the gear we all have anyway.

Well, between Blind Well and Oracle offerings I've unlocked almost of the new subclasses over the last week. Now I'm just missing the new Striker subclass.
Attunement of Grace is a pain to upgrade, or at least it is when you don't have the melee ability node unlocked. Guess I'll be running Blind Well or Escalation Protocol just to farm ability kills for that one.
Finally completed the raid yesterday and I got the curated rolls for Nation of Beasts (third Morgeth kill) and Age-Old Bond.

Made it to level 50 and 511 light. Looks like it will be a slow grind to get Nightfall and Raid ready.
Question - what use are planetary marks now? Is there value in leveling up planet ranks? Or should I just turn a bunch in to try to get some guns with good rolls? They all pop out at 500 light, right? I have about 1000 gunsmith marks, so same question with him.
Feel free to turn in all your planetary tokens, they just give you vendor rep and have otherwise been removed from the game. Anything that used to give planetary tokens gives planetary mats instead now. Gunsmith parts can be turned in as well for randomly rolled guns, but I’d recommend saving 50 or so in case you want to pull something out of the collections tab. Exotics take 7 parts if I recall correctly, legendaries and blues take 2 or 3.
Vendor weapons no longer drops at your light level. Planetary materials are used for infusing and can be used to purchase Glimmer from Spider if you're low. Also, I wonder if Paul Tassi is enjoying dying to Queenbreaker in Gambit a gazillion times since he proposed its best counter to be nerfed a while back.

Starting to think that maybe I should try and get Whisper of the Worm this weekend...and eventually the catalyst too.
I have Sleeper, but it'd probably would be wise to have Whisper as well (even though I'm not a good sniper). Plus Whisper rounds won't bounce around and kill you.

It’s been good to me this last week. Got my whisper - Jesus that’s a puzzle. Honestly you’ll never do it alone. I think I can guide you if you want but, the jumping puzzle, timer and final fight is tough. It’s a 380 reward but we went in with me at 570 and two 600s and had one second to spare on our 2nd try.
Got three exotic warlock armour pieces drop in the last 24 hours. Some utter shite boots, and two belters - Chromatic Fire and the lusted after Geomags.
Still rate the ace of spades above all else though.

Turn them in for good rolls.
I keep some of each though. Not really sure why. I’m a bit of a hoarder.
Got Antaeus Wards earlier on and on Sunday this happened:

wings Lucky...I would love to get those on my hunter, would make for an interesting/fun blade barrage banner Iron Banner.
Yeah I think the refill value for an opponent killed in the Crucible is much larger than for an add in PvE from what I've heard. Haven't used it in Iron Banner yet but it might be handy to deal with Titans running One Eyed Mask if I'm not running Sentinel with Ursa Furiosa.

I used The Colony in Mayhem when I used to run Nightstalker.

Did you pick up the Ohphidea Spathe from zoidberg last week? I’ve been running that on my hunter and BB.
Having (almost) insta-refill double throwing knives is great. I’ve nearly done a whole strike without firing a shot. Not quite but very close.
I did not, didn't realize what they did until it was too late. That and I didn't really have much time put into Blade Barrage at that point in time to realize how nice those would have been. I can only hope that he sells something as nice or even better this weekend (though I'm pretty much done with Iron Banner on my hunter).
Speaking of Iron Banana, any of you fine gentlemen on PS4 up for some IB and/or Gambit this weekend? I have no idea when I'll be on tomorrow-Sunday, but I'll certainly try to hop on and at least run a bit of IB for my other characters.
Yeah they do carry over, or at least they did last time. But they might not into the next season, really think they will though.
As for planetary tokens, you can use them to get a fresh character to 500 once he is lvl 50, but honestly that is peanuts anyway. They are kind of useless.
As for getting nightfall ready, don't be afraid to jump in underleveled. Most of this expansion seems to be made to be played underleveled. Really, nightfall without a score card is pretty easy nowadays, you just have to complete it. If you are underleveled in an activity, your reward will be higher too (so for nightfalls, if you are under 540, your powerfull reward will be +3 or +5, while when you are above 540, it will only drop +1). Really, once you get to 520, the only things you shouldn't try is shattered throne and the last 2-3 raid encounters. Oh yeah, iron banner will be a bitch too lol.
Ah, yes... Iron Banner has been a rough go. I'm up to LL 522, but that is apparently severally underpowered in IB now. I've taken to being a meat shield in my best moments...

Or Antaeus Wards to reflect the Nova Bomb back, which I also have. Ursa Furiosa's effectiveness depends on the quality of the opposition by a lot. Sensible players usually just run away. I still don't have One Eyed Mask and it's the last Titan exotic I need to complete the set.

Hit 540, so I guess I am theoretically raid ready? Haven't done a Nightfall yet and haven't done a raid or a lair since Leviathan. Haven't even done a prestige Leviathan. Looks like I still have lots of work to do...
