It’s true that this has been the most shallow feeling prestifing has brought so far. I can’t tell one symbol from another. I have no clue why I’m even prestiging. It’s even worse with the weapon prestiges
The gameplay is solid tho. I like the guns too. I really should try Blackout

The MP is better than any of the advanced movement iterations, which may not say much.

I liked the fact that Pleymo's song New Wave escaped being censored. I think Rock Band got me into Stevie Ray Vaughan earlier than I would have done. Rage Against the Machine songs in Guitar Hero were also similarly entertaining for the same reason.

I would love to hear why you think Blackout is shallow compared to PUBG. I have now played both, but no where near the extent you have. I don't even know if I can even formulate any type of coherent group of thoughts on which is better. I like PUBG, I like Blackout, both are good in different ways. PUBG maybe feels a bit grittier to me. That's all i got for now. You can wingsuit anywhere on the map every single game. There's really no time tradeoff since wingsuiting is so fast. Cheesy stuff like infinite fuel helicopters that are often express passes to the endgame as most players won't bother to carry rockets past the first couple of minutes (though it's more likely in squads that they will). The damage reduction on Lvl 3 armor is completely insane, on the console side when you pair it with aim assist a lot of fights are just lock-on DPS battles. Faster move speed, the silence perks, stuff like the grapple hooks all devalue circle planning. And fights that are just cluster and concussion spam. It really is the COD of BR games, not that it's bad, I have a lot of fun in small doses. But it's repetitive and kind of brainless once you figure out how to play. They have mitigated the lvl 3 armor thing to an extent, but I think it and concussions should really just get the boot. You can't have concussions with hitmarkers in this sort of game, because it's just bloop, got a hitmarker, I know he'll be blind for like 5 seconds and completely unable to defend himself. In PUBG if you want to use a stun, unless you have line of sight on the guy as it hits so you can see the animation, you're not going to know for sure if you're dealing with a blind enemy. And PUBG still lets you spray your gun in defense while blind. I just don't come out of Blackout games thinking much about what I could have done better or why I lost. The answer is usually just that I lost a COD gunfight. When I play PUBG, it's more like (warning, long video, last 16 minutes or so is an endgame analysis): In Blackout you have too many perks, too much armor, too much utility, too much speed for you to really have to make a correct decision.

On the MP side the game is just "okay." 1. The Create-a-Class Pick 10 system is needlessly complicated and underwhelming. Most of the wild cards could be rid of by making things worth different amount of points like how Ghosts perks were. You could still tier them if some combos were too OP. The problem with this system is you get things where Cold Blooded with Skulker is supposed to be equal to Engineer and Tactical Mask or Red Dot. Besides that most of the perks are nerfed. 2. Weapons Limited variety and some attachments should be worth more points or moved to operator mods (whatever the thermal is called). 3. Equipment/Specialist
Regular equipment costs a point (versus specialist is free) while you can't use a lethal and tactical at the same time. Being killed by most Specialist abilities and equipment feels cheap. Crash's ammo box is the equivalent of Copy Cat. Definately would like to see a Specialist free playlist.
4. Unlock System
The already mentioned bad level gating. Wish we could unlock weapons, perks, scorestreak rewards with a game currency like Cod Points in Black Ops 1.
5. Domination
Two rounds can block comebacks if you cap B late in the round. The team that's winning can get some more score for rewards plus whatever have saved last round. Hardpoint and War Mode(WW2) make this gamemode look dated. Domination is a ten second cap in small area vs instantaneous capture in a much larger area Hardpoint. Flag neutralizing has also been around since Ghosts. I'm tired of the flag placement. It's almost always essentially a line making it a game of tug and war like War/Momentum. It's always cap A/B or C/B. Would like flag placement that could allow A/C as a viable strategy. The Ghost nerf weakens stealth capping. They fixed a problem that mostly effects TDM tactical loitering but screwing a another gamemode in process.
6. Map Design
War Mode and Battle Royale modes like Blackout really proves that maps should be designed around the games modes and player count that are played on them. Save the Domes, Rusts, and Nuketowns for 4v4 deathmatches. Should be easy to get a lot different maps if most of them are remakes. Thanks for the bonus maps that are lighting changes.
7. Expansion/Extra Content
Even with the free daily unlocks it annoying amount to grind. Most of the content is boring or lame. At least it's not random. Makes the Black Ops 2 and Ghosts content system look great.
8. Stat Collection
I wish they would drop the overall stats. Stats should be judge against the mode you play in. Part of the problem why people pad stats in Domination. I like how War handled K/D (EKIA/D lol). Matters more in deathmatch modes.

When you vote for maps and game modes, it would be great if they put your average score beside each option

Respawn just released a Battle Royale set in the Titanfall universe today... zero advertising or warning of it (probably a smart idea). No Titans or parkour - everyone is a grunt (has a hero-class system though or something IDK). Apparently they weren't going to be satisfied doing Titanfall 3 on the same old source engine so they converted their work into this instead. I just can't see this game doing anything besides flopping very quickly...
I am sad

Well, the Twitch streamer marketing plan worked to perfection. Shroud went like 15+ hours on that shit day one, with 70k-110k viewers the whole time, and they had over a million people playing.
It does have a lot of really smart design decisions. 3-man squad is an interesting niche to fill. It needs some performance improvements, but it's pretty low on bugs.
The game seems to be really well received. It's fun but it's not my favorite BR. I would warm up to it much quicker if it had the wall-running but whatever. I'd even say that on first play I liked Blackout more, but as I've said Blackout has gotten pretty stale. This might have more staying power.
As a fan of Titanfall I wish nothing but the best for Apex Legends. Respawn needs a bonafide hit, and future Titanfall is probably not going to happen if it flops.
